Today, the Congress approved the appropriation of one of the moons around the Planet Terra, for use by the Siesatian Temporal Academy and Research Center. (STARC). The moon, named LB-24a was previously used as a mining facility, and is generally uninhabited. The moon will become the Base of Operations of Temporal Research in Siesatia.
Phase I is scheduled for completion in 5 years. It will contain the following...
1: Main Complex - Administrative duty area, Visitor area.
2: Landing Facility - Landing Strips, Underground Hangers.
3: Research Facility 1 - Space Time Continuum Observation, Research and Development Center.
4: Array 1 - 10 Km of High Powered Temporal Sensors
5: Security Station 1 - Marines and Security officers
6: Power Generation Station - Undisclosed
Research will commence once Phase 1 is complete. Visitors will be prohibited until Phase 1 is completed.
This daring plan is set to replace the crowded facility on Gaia, which has lived far beyond its life expectancy, and is unable to support further growth. It is set to be converted into a museum when Phase II is complete.
A small Type 2 Shipyard Facility is currently in orbit around LB-24a, and will be used to create many of the products needed for construction.
