"Clear your mind of everything but your anger. Feel the emotions surge through your body and focus it on the force. Use the emotion...The power...And release it through your finger tips!"
Hasu did as his father told. He thrusted his hand out and saw sparks fly from his hand.
"Very good, my son! You're making excellent progress!" Halo said. He rubbed his son on his back.
"Your emotions aren't that strong to use Force Lightning yet, my son, but someday you will be able to use it."
Halo bowed towards the youngling and turned, which was a dismissal signal in Green Sun. Hasu did as he was told and walked into the hall of the Dark academy. Sith students and Sith teachers traversed before him. There were many people who thought the number of Sith was too great. Some people thought there weren't enough. The Jedi were very unpopular amongst the people of Green Sun, mainly because they were associated with Neo Black Sun and spent most of their time criticizing the Sith, while showing no use to the nation. The young Sanghelli didn't care about the Jedi or the Sith; he just wanted to learn.

Hasu knew exactly where he was going. He loved reading. He planned to have the largest personal library in the galaxy. He ran to the Taxi stop and waited. A taxi hovered over and he hopped in, accompanied by an anonymous man. It was common in Green Sun to share a cab, and it was courteous to offer to split the fee, but Hasu had few Heads, so he apologized to the man, saying that because he was just a nine-year old Sith student, he could hardly afford his own fees.
"Don't worry, youngling, I'll pay your fee. Where are you headed?"
"The local library."
"Here you go. Two heads should get you there."
"Thanks, mister!"
The taxi stopped a few minutes later and the man left. Another person got in the cab and Hasu conned that man out of two dollars, as well. His father would be proud. He might even get his father's consent to join the Drama club at the Academy. They needed extras for The Colony, an alternate version of M. Night Shamalan's The Village.

Hasu got out of the car at the Public Library. He scuttled up the stairs and saw a homeless man sleeping in the alleyway. His first instinct was to mug him and send the man on his way, but then he saw how thin the man was. He jumped down and stared at the poor man. He felt sorrow for him. He shook him awake.
"Heh? What? Who's there? Leave me alone!"
"Mister, you look hungry. I have four dollars; I can buy you a meal."
"That's...That's awfully kind of you son...How can I repay you?"
"That's alright sir-"
"No, I insist. I'm a neo-Muslim. I have to."
"Okay, what can you offer?"
"What does your father do?"
"He's a Sith Lord."
The homeless man stared at him.
"Let me guess, you're his apprentice?"
"Yup!"
"Alright, do you know Force Lightning?"
"Yeah! Well...Kind of, I can shoot sparks! My dad says that's very good for someone my age!"
"Well, I can teach it to you now. I used to be a Jedi; I still have my Light saber. I was also a Sith after that, but I just wasn't self-centered enough for it. I was really powerful. I helped found both the Jedi and the Sith Academies."
"You mean you're-"
"Darth Shiu."
"By the force..."

Darth Shiu was a member of the Parliament. After the Jedi master was found, also known as General Lucas, he revealed himself as a Jedi. He founded the Jedi academy, gathering most of the teachers there. His old girlfriend from High school called him up and asked him to marry her. He couldn't believe it and was overwhelmed with emotion. The other Jedi Masters sensed it and asked him to leave. He did so, keeping his ties with the Jedi. He has three children and lived happily. Eventually his family was attacked by Neo Black Sun while traveling to Earth and he lost them. He grew angry and was consumed by the Dark Side. He founded the Sith Academy in Green Sun City and ran it as the Dean, but he found he still liked helping others as a Jedi. Torn with emotions, he left the Sith and converted to Neo-Islam, which is a large religion that is based off of Islamic beliefs.

"Okay, now, fell all of your emotions, not just your anger. Sort out the positive ones and the negative ones. Use all of your negative feelings and create the sparks."
Hasu did as he was told. A large flash of electricity burst from his fingertips.
"Whoa!"
"Now, do the same thing but at the last second, combine the force with the positive feelings. Don't point it towards me."
Hasu was amazed as two-feet long lightning bolts erupted from his inexperienced fingertips and struck a crazed cat feasting on an old bowl of lasagna. It screeched as it ran around in circles with its tail on fire.
"Very good, boy! You'll be a great Sith someday."
Darth Shiu kneeled beside Hasu.
"Between you and me, you'd make an even greater Jedi."
Hasu punched him in the face.
"I guess I deserved that. Now how about that meal?"

Hasu bought Darth Shiu a large Chicken Salad with a large Sparkling Peach Cider and then headed to the library. He only thought of Darth Shiu's comment. An even more powerful Jedi...

Hasu arrived at the library and browsed through the Nonfictional Magic section and picked out a book on the Jedi and started reading. As he read, he started to like it more and more. He was halfway finished when his cell phone rang. He called it with his Force Grab and answered it.
"Hasu, where are you? It's almost nine-thirty!" it was his father.
"Oh, dad! You would not BELIEVE who I met today!"
"You talked to strangers again?"
"It was a homeless person."
"Hasu, he could have taken you away!"
"You're teaching me the ways of the Sith, remember?"
"True, but-"
"It was Darth Shiu."
"Darth Shiu?"
"Yes."
"He's alive?"
"Living in the streets."
"That's...That's excellent news. Come home as soon as you can, Hasu."
"Alright, dad. I'll come home."
Hasu looked at his book. He marked his page and then checked out a few fictional books written by Sith authors as well as his Jedi book. He rushed outside and looked around. Darth Shiu was slumbering where he was before with his blanket half off. Hasu pulled it all the way on him and sent a bit of Force energy to warm his chilled body. He smiled and hailed a cab.

Darth Shiu felt the Force and the blanket. He opened his eyes and smiled. Soon, Hasu, you will know everything and more about the Force.

"Damn, Narek! How the sterk did you do that?"
Narek had gotten into his first streetfight. His opponent was nearly a foot taller than him, which was even more signifigant since Muktari were short for humans. His opponent drew first blood with a roundhouse to the nose, but Narek followed up with an uppercut, rage boiling in his blood.
What he didn't expect was that his opponent would go flying into the air.
And stay in the air.
"I have no idea."
Narek began to calm down, and his opponent began falling to the steel road below, but landed in a hauler that was carrying sand debris. Everyone was in a relative state of shock, and Narek's mind only had one word in it, which he performed rather efficiently.
Run.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Narek."
"Kual, I nearly killed that guy with a punch, and he was hanging in the air. I don't know what's the matter with me, but I'm a hazard to those around me until I find out what."
"Alright man. Good luck."
"Thanks for the Outrider."
"Heh. It's not like my old man will be using it anymore without functional arms. He's glad to be rid of the clunker anyhow."
The friends nodded grimly, and Narek leapt into the cockpit.
"Narek, wait!" Kual ran around back, and came back with a belt pouch and some chunks of metal. "So you can practice controlling whatever it is you have."
"Thanks. Later!"
"Later!"
Sealing the cockpit, Narek flew off into the life of a mercenary.

"Muktar? Muhammad's soul, I hate dealing with foreign Mercenaries. Why can't we hire Armored Hell or the Urban Rangers?"
"They're too well-known. We can't have this guy roaming the streets, but we can't have him killed by a well-known mercenary group. As long as you have the cash or the authority, they tell who the client is, the target, and the amount paid for the job. We need someone who won't give away that information."
"Alright. Call him up, but YOU'RE paying him with MY money. You don't tell him who we are or why this man needs to be killed, just tell him that he's extremely dangerous and cramps our buisness."
"Yessir."
The Mafia boss leaned back in his chair, worrying. Darth Shiu was dangerous. He didn't know if this mercenary could handle him. Shiu was also heavily against this arms trade he was running, but chances had to be made.

Leaning against his outrider, Narek was mentally juggling his lead spheres. "I'll have to get back at Kaul. This things are heavy." He dropped the three spheres into his belt pouch, though, when he heard his commlink buzzing.
"Namek, here. What do you need?"
"This is a confidential task that I have for you, Mister Namek."
"I see. Can I get specifics as to the task?"
"There is an extremely dangerous individual who is giving our operations trouble. We need him dealt with."
"Anonymous hit, got it."
"Are y-"
"In a mercenary cove's hangar. If somebody is listening in on me, they won't have heard anything of value. Yet."
"Then keep it down from here out."
"Who's the target, where are they, and how am I getting paid?"

OOC: Sorry for the takeover, I didn't want to have too much post bouncing.

"Darth Shiu, a former Jedi and Sith. He's actively opposing our buisness, but we don't know where he is. We think he's somewhere in Green Sun City. I hope you've got some experience with the force, Narek. My first offering is Four millions Heads and a garuntee that your family, if any, will be compensated if you are killed. Any damages top you or your equipment will be paid. You won't meet me. You won't even meet my delivery boys. You'll just do the job and get paid, alright?"

(i put a bio in the ooc thread, but let me know if you want me out)

The six men walked into a nondescript bar in Green Sun, single file with their hands behind their back. An unfortunate theif tried to pick the pocket of the last man in the line, a single punch to his throat sent him bleeding to the ornate floor. No-one looked up, they recognised the newcomers and started to leave. They surrounded a hooded man sitting at the bar and drew blaster pistols. They were an international, and interplanetary group of independant radicals who were known as Faithfuls. They were basically Sith, only they were not force sensitive and so relied on more conventional weaponry. They had a feirce hatred for Jedi, and spent their lives living in Sith-Majority areas and cleansing them.
"Get Up" the leader said, quietly but strongly, "Now."
The robed man bowed his head and stood, his long hood obscuring his face.
The leader put a hand on his shoulder, and turned him round, pointing his pistol between the mans eyes. They dropped the hood, and yelled at the quivering old man standing there. He dropped to his knees, raising his hands as to beg for mercy. His crime was to be force-sensitive and ignore it, to not use his talent for the Dark Side.
The Faithful leader took aim, and stopped. He turned around.
Another robed man was in the corner, oblivious to their actions. Two of his men went to escort him out, and realised their error when a bright blue lightsabre cut ones head clean off and stabbed the other. The others were pushed away, one breaking his neck on a table. The leader rose, clutching his throat he was suddenly thrown against the wall, an invisible hand chocking the life out of him. His neck snapped and he slumped to the ground, his followers opened fire on the stranger. Shots were deflected easily and both fell, screaming in agony.
Without a word, the hooded man departed and joined the crowds of the busy city.

A non-Sith was loose in Green Sun.

"Understood. Should I die, the money goes toward Kaul Torus of Kantu City on Muktar. However, Darth Shiu's reputation preceeds him. I want to see three mil in advance, and two mil upon completion. I have developed potent capability with the Force, so don't worry about that."
Narek was glad his communicator was strictly audio, as he had started to sweat when he heard the name. His studies of his abilities had gone over all the big names among Jedi and Sith, and Shiu was near the top of both.

Shiu, he thought, then he is alive.
He saw the man end his audio communication from his vantage point on the roof, and could sense the force within him. His intentions were as unknown as his identity, or his motive. He much prefered his home-world, the cold there kept him aware. He made his way silently towards the man bringing new senses, some of light, and some of deepest dark. The man was Lost, and had been degraded into a mercenary. he stood on the roof in the shadows, very nearby.

"The Faithful? Haha! They're a bunch of numbskull ninnies! If they really supported us they'd join the Sith!" Halo laughed.
"Yes, well, a couple of hours ago, they did quite the opposite of support you," the Minister of Magic said, "They went into one of their bars and picked a fight with a Jedi."
"That's none of my concern."
"Since it puts a black dot on the Sith, it is."
"How so, minister? We didn't start them, they just started following the Sith."
"They signed up as a submilitia when they got their militia permit. They had the consent of someone on the Sith Council."
"Dammit! The Sith will not take their blows!"
"Well, for picking a fight in a public place, they will be fined, which is technically from the Sith..."
"Dad, I'm ho-oof!" Hasu walked in, but Halo pushed him out of the door and shut the door from his sitting spot.
"The Faithful will pay the fine, I garuntee it. If they don't, they will repay the Sith with their lives, Minister, for treason."
"I understand."
Halo cut the link. He opened teh door and let his son in, who had an ashamed look on him.
"I'm sorry, Hasu, I was speaking with a Government official and couldn't be bothered. Now, you told me Darth Shiu has resurfaced?"
"Yessir. He's homeless and has converted to Neo-Islam. He's sleeping next to the Library. He taught me how to use Force Lightning using all of my emotions!"
"All of your emotions?" Halo went pale-ish.
"Yeah! Watch!"
Hasu used Force Lighting on the target dummy from a short distance, but still a large distance for a nine-year-old Elite.
"Hasu, I ask you not to use Force Lightning using Shiu's method. It's...Dangerous. We'll keep practicing using the old method, alright?"
"Okay...Why is it dangerous?"
"It...It just is."
"Okay..."
Shiu was teaching Hasu new methods...This wasn't good. Hasu was the Sith's only chance to defeat the Jedi. The Jedi could use him to defeat the Sith and Shiu could use him for much deeper purposes.
"Hasu, how about you invite him over for a meal next time you visit the Library? Shiu and I co-founded the Dark Academy, so it would be nice to see my old friend."
"Okay! I'd like that!"
"Now go wash up, you don't want the mess Hall smelling like you!"

Narek nodded and turned off his communicator and pulled down his hatch. "It's about time that I got something to do around here. Haven't had anything to do since the Belt Incident in Sol..."
Kicking in the thrusters on his Outrider, Narek cleared the hangar and triggered the hyperboost, moving into Green Sun territory.

After landing in Green Cun, Narek stopped for a quick bite to eat before heading to the library. He checked out some books on force techniques for control before heading to the fiction section and checking out Aab-Abi. Looking around, he didn't see anyone, so he popped into the restroom and checked for his payment.

A shadowed figure was in the corner of the library, unseen. Long ago he had mastered the art of hiding his presence in the force, and he now let it go. Several young men near the Sith Artifacts section looked his way, but ignored him. His silver and black lightsaber hilt was deep in the folds of his robes, and he saw the man walk in to the restroom.
A thick book levitated from a neglected section, cordoned off by the security. It opened itself and dropped outside the restroom door.

The book was a strange one, in the Forbidden Section and writted entirely a long lost language. He remembered the book well, almost to the point of memorising. It was the story of the Great Force Lords, the twelve most powerful force-users the galaxy had ever known before they were torn into Jedi and Sith.
Muktar

Narek looked the book over, seeing it was in a language which had an alphabet he couldn't recognize. "Probably couldn't read the damn thing even if it were in Basic." Closing the book, he stacked it under Aab-Abi and began looking at the vacant stalls before standing at the door of the only occupied one.

The man started to rush out the door.

"I can't believe I assumed he was going to go get it. Idiot!"
Hopping down, he stuck the money in his hip stash that was disguised as a canteen before he went back to the books. After reading up a little on Darth Shiu, he put Aab-Abi back in its place and left the master's book on the table. Getting up, he began to make his way to his ship to receive information on where to find Shiu.

Hasu was absolutely fascinated by the Jedi and their accomplishments by the point he was at in his book. Yoda, Mace Windu, Qui-Gon-Jin, Luke Skywalker...These people weren't even from his own galaxy and he looked up to them like heroes. They had done so many amazing things he could only dream of doing. Hasu didn't want to pursue a life of self-achievement. He wanted to use his powers for the greater good of others. Slowly, as he fell asleep on his bed, he formed a plan in his mind to run away to the Jedi academy and fullfill his dreams...But first...He had to get Darth Shiu and is father to meet...

"Look closely, Shiu, and you will see that few were killed, as terrorism is not my intent. My offer still stands. I know something that could aid you greatly, but for now... just watch your back."
Shiu could feel the press of a blaster on the back of his head, and he turned to strike down his would-be assassin. No-one was there. It was a trick of the mind variant, long lost to Jedi or Sith. When he turned back, Kael-dor was gone.
((Don't take over my characters.))
"Dammit. I'll hunt you down. I swear it. When I get my new apprentice, I'll hunt you down," Shiu said. He pulled out a communicator he had borrowed from one of the librarians when she was still alive.
"Green Sun police? There's been an attack. This is Darth Shiu. I didn't see it coming. We're going to need some Firefighters down at the public library."

Nerak looked behind him at the fiery ruins. Walking toward them, he noticed something glimmering in the debris. He pressed forward with the Force, turning aside the flames as he levitated a lightsaber out of the ruins, not far from a charred Sith Adept. He levitated a second one out, keeping them in the air so they could air out.

"Waste nothing, gain everything."

He then walked out of the blaze, his Force field (pardon the cliche) holding off the flames. Using the force to bind the air away from the lightsabers, they cooled to a tolerable level and he grabbed one in each hand.

"I don't know who you were talking to, Shiu, but he was rather loud."

Shiu put away the communicator.
"I know why you're here. They put a bounty on my head. I garuntee you won't get very far against me, I don't how powerful you are. Those men are bad people. They're supplying arms to terrorists and drug dealers. Green Sun has harsh penalties for dealing drugs. Up to life in prison. You get put on Death row if someone overdoses on your drugs. If these drug dealers have the latest tech, it'll cost lives. Then they'll sell more drugs, ruioning the cities of my planet. If you still want the money they're offering, come at me. You'll be no better than them. You're strong. I can sense it. You're nothing compared to my soon-to-be apprentice, but you're strong enough. I can teach you things the Sith or the Jedi never even thought of. All you have to do is help me take out your employers. If money is your only goal, I'm sure they keep it somewhere."

"That's not necessary. If 'Halo' does not consider one of my power to be important, then I obviously need not bother with him."

Kolte turned and as soon as he did, he saw the large column of smoke billowing from what was once the library. It has begun, I see, he thought. He found another taxi and payed the driver to get him their as quick as possible, and after a profoundly unorthodox ride he arrived. Before him stood two men who dueling with lightsabers, Kolte's area of expertise. In one he sensed intentions of death, the Dark Side was strong within him. In the other he sensed great good, and remorse for those who had perished within the burning spire, but the Light Side was not particularly strong within him. He possessed a mixture of the light and the dark, a powerful combination when the user is not corrupted by greed or selfishness. This man was obviously the stronger of the two, on par with Kolte's power and maybe even stronger.

"What is going on here! Did either of you do this?" Kolte yelled.

The newcomer was strong in the light. However, Loq sensed a sort of taint on the Light and guessed that he had delved into the Dark. He continued to the fighters, "Why fight must you? It wasn't long before they reached charred and smoldering bodies, grossly deformed from the intense heat. Using the Force, Kolte lifted them out of the blaze and off to the side, a somber expression on his face. Curious as he was, he turned to the one he was assisting. With that said, Kolte resolved that he would find Shiu another time. He turned to continue his task of fighting the fire raging before him. Probing with the Force, he could sense no one alive inside the blaze except himself, Loq, and the bomber. "Loq! Hold your breath!" He yelled. Tensing the muscles in his arms, he began to physically mold the Force around him into bubble. "Yes, excellent..." Kolte nodded his head in agreement. Force Lightning was a very popular attack among Force users, Jedi and Sith alike. He reflected on the fact that he had never learned that particular art. His studies of Sith Force powers had taken him deep into the history of the Sith and planet Korriban, long before the ancient Sith culture was tainted by outcast Jedi. There were many arts to be learned from the ancient Sith spellcasters, who mistook their Force powers for magic. One of his favorites being the Abyssal Fire spell, in which the Force user formed a ball of pure kinetic energy between his palms and Force-throws it at his opponent. To the untrained eye the Abyssal Fire spell would seem to be simply a ball of fire in the user's hand, but those who could sense the Force knew better. "A magnificent display of power...yes we must depart immediately...lead the way Loq."

Kolte followed the smaller creature closely as they leapt away from the smoldering ashes that were once the local library.

A bloody stump was what Loq had left of his hand, and although repairable it would prevent a counter attack for some time. He stood, and threw back his charred hood, revealing a black mask of an unknown material, stitched into his face and head. There will be vengeance, he vowed, as he headed back to his ship.

Upon arriving, he set about installing an artificial hand. Various droids assisted him by installing other cybernetic implants as he worked on his hand. They included a new left eye, a metal rib-brace and skeletal armouring on the legs. He would do the same to his arms another time, he thought, as he slept, changed robes and then set out once more.

For the first time he allowed his force-presence to be fully revealed, as he stood in the city centre. Groups of passing Sith looked over, but the grey-clad hooded man did not respond. He simply stood there, waiting for this... Loq to confront him once more.

"By the force! What happened?" Hasu shouted at the sight of the destroyed library the next morning. Shiu appeared next to him.
"An evil, evil Sith thought it would be fun to destroy the library. Looks like a good summer project, wouldn't you say, Hasu?"
"How would it benefit me?"
"You get to go back to the library."
"Ah."
"Come along, youngling, let's go the Academy. We will morn for these dead later."
Hasu couldn't keep his eyes off of the destroyed building until it was out of sight. The library was his favorite place, his sanctuary, his escape. Now what was he to do?
The gaurds were shocked to see Shiu back at the academy. They knew who he was, but they never met him. Shiu was a legend amongst the Force users.
"Shiu! My old friend! So good to see you! Come, sit down, help yourself. It's been what, five years? Six? Too long in my book," Halo said.
"Four years, Halo. Four years since I left the academy for a life of loyalty to God. It does feel better to be around other force-users, though," Shiu replied.
"The force is better pursued with others."
"I don't pursue it anymore."
"You don't? Hasu showed me otherwise."
Hasu stopped browsing through themusic collection to put on and turned. Halo's expression was no longer delight, but betrayal and anger. It scared Hasu.
"The lightning?"
"Yes. Hasu showed me. I told you your new ideas were foolish. It's dangerous and you know it. You know how important Hasu is to us. I won't let his training be corrupted."
"Corrupted, Halo? CORRUPTED? You're the leader of the Sith on Green Sun and you can't stop one foreigner Sith from destroying the Public Library?"
"I was here getting ready for your visit."
"What if the Jedi attacked? Hm? What if they finally got proof connecting the Sith to all those illegal imports? The assasinations? You might as well be putting lies into the boy's head if you can't even control your own people. The only reason you haven't been taken out yet is because of that boy of yours and me. I know how important he is, so I won't let anybody but his family and his mentors touch him. Halo, if you can't control the Sith here in Green Sun, then you can't be trusted with Hasu."
"Hasu is my child and my responsibility. You have no right to take him away."
"He has a right to make his own decisions."
"Not by the laws of Green Sun."
"The laws of Green Sun are not important, Halo. Hasu's safety is."
"IF YOU HADN'T LEFT THE ACADEMY IT WOULDN'T BE A PRIORITY," Halo shouted. He was breathing heavily and rage was in his eyes.
"I was going to let you train Hasu while I trained his cousin. But you left the academy for your own stupid, selfish reasons. Hasu is not about him, me, or you. It's about the future of the Sith. He could have gotten the proper training if you had just waited fifteen years and trained the boy before leaving."
"If I had left after hsi training was finished it would have confused him and make him question everything he learned, making him a wanderer, useless to the Force."
"You could have moved to Red Homes or some other part of Green Sun! It's not that hard, Shiu!"
"I left the Sith for a reason. I left the Sith to start the Nedertha."
"Oh, don't start with that crap."
"I'm taking Hasu with me whether you liek it or not."
"Excuse me?" Hasu said, "You're taking me? What if I don't want to leave?"
"See, Shiu? He wants to stay here."
"I didn't say that. You're only thinking of yourself, you always have been. I know I'm important. I know I'm young, but I'm not stupid. Father, you just want to the one who raised and trained the great 'Darth Hasu'. You haven't even told me why I'm important. Shiu, you are looking at me like a tool. I'm a Sanghelli. I'm a sentient being. I have feelings, hopes, thoughts, and dreams. I'm not staying with either of you. Goodbye."
Hasu ran out of the room and rushed down the hall of the Academy. Halo must have called the gaurds to capture him, since he was attacked by Sith gaurds. One man grabbed at him, but Hasu dodged him and stole the man's lightsaber and sliced him in half. The others slowly backed off. The front gaurds caught him by the hood of his cloak, so Hasu disarmed them, literally. He put the saber away and ran down the sidewalk, with people staring at the running boy. He had ran two miles when he slowed down to a steady walk and started to cry.

"Halo's a bit upset right now at himself and Shiu. Catching him like this would be dangerous," the gaurd replied, "So for your own safety it would not be wise to visit him. His son, Hasu, has run away because of both Shiu and himself."
The gaurd studied Kolte more.
"And it would be specially unwise to speak with him about his son."
"It just so happens that I'm not one known for being wise. Besides, what concern of yours is my safety. You can plainly tell I am a Jedi by my clothing. Or are you too ingnorant to notice? Now, I will only say this one more time...let me in to see Halo, or you will surely die right here." Kolte's hand tightened its grip on his lightsaber, ready to strike the guard down in one swift motion should he refuse Kolte again.

"Besides," added Loq. "Our news has to do with Halo's son. We know where he is heading. If you continue to deny us access to Halo he'll probably kill you." Loq noted Kolte's grip on his lightsaber and decided that there was no need to assist him if the guard continued to hold them here.

"And if you kill my apprentice, I kill you," a new voice said, coming out of the Academy. They couldn't see his face because of his dark hood, but it was obvious this man was powerful. Not nearly as powerful as Shiu, but still a force to be reckoned with.
"If you want to speak with Halo, you speak with me first when it comes to issues like this. Besides, if you attacked him, Green Sun would...erradicate the Jedi from this region. Tensions are high betweeen the Government and the Jedi right not. Attacking a Sith student at the academy would be considered an assault on the academy itself. And since you're a Jedi, that's where the Government would look. So if you'll come with me, I may be able to arrange your meeting with Halo. You must understand, he's a very busy man in a very stessfull time for him. He's only a Sanghelli, after all."

We know where the boy is heading, and I assume he may already be there by now. Oh, and, you seem quite powerful...but I doubt you could kill me, much the both of us. Besides, I wouldn't have killed your student, that's not the way I work. I would have merely caused a great deal of...pain."

"As you wish." Kolte was slighty nervous about entering the Sith facility now being known as a former Jedi. His only advantage was that they were surely underestimating his power, and if they tried anything, that would be their downfall. Then he looked at Loq and remebered how powerful the little...what was he anyway? Never mind, now's not the time to ponder such things. Perhaps later.

"I'm afraid I'm not allowed to tell a Jedi why he is so important," Gazer replied. He shifted.
"But I suppose your knowing that he is important is enough to get me in trouble, so it wouldn't hurt too much if I told you. You see, the Sith and the Jedi are having somewhat of a Cold War here on Green Sun. We're not allowed to attack each other but we're doing our best to dislodge them from their position, which is already weak since the Jedi are very unpopular here in Green Sun due to their involvement with NeoBlack Sun, an evil terrorist organization that Green Sun has recently purged. Hasu believes that the son of a Sith lord will bring power and balance to the Force on a massive scale. It's some prophecy. Shiu was thought to be him, but after much research it was discovered that the one would not be human, but still a minority species in his nation, and a species that hasn't largely discovered the force at that. It goes on and on of the specifics, but the point is, the one in the prophecy is from Green Sun and is a Sanghelli. Hasu is the son of a Sith Lord and is a Sanghelli in Green Sun, so Hasu has been training his son to see if he is truely the one. Hasu's a very sensitive boy, however, so he felt like he was being used to glorify his father. He also feels that Shiu thinks of him as a tool or an idol. He's more angry at Shiu, really, since his father is also trying to make Hasu's name very great, but he still treats him like a human. Well, metaphoricly speaking, of course."

"I suppose the only question that remains is...who will it be that the boy destroys to bring balance to the Force? That is no concern of mine, as I am neither Jedi nor Sith, nor am I partisan to either one. But I once was a Jedi master, and I know their ways very well. I do wish to see the boy trained, and I don't believe his father is in a position to do it." Kolte stared at this Sith lord who stood before him. He had dealt with many Sith in his time. He knew their ways well. Halo would try to recover his son, no matter what the cost. He did find it strange that the public opinion was against the Jedi here, that was new to him. Of course, so was speaking with a Sith lord in the middle of his own academy and not be a prisoner. "Perhaps I could go to the Jedi Academy and train the boy."

The only reason that I wanted to train him at the Academy is because he has made up his mind that that is where he is going to stay." Kolte replied with a bit of annoyance in his tone. Darth Gazer pressed a button and the door opened. They could hear Halo tapping his foot impatiently. They could sense an extremely powerfulsource outside of the soor, just a few notches lower than Shiu's detectable level. Shiu was one of the most powerful Sith in the Galaxy. Halo was only surpassed by two: Shiu and a Jedi whose name he never spoke of. Then again, Kolte and Loq didn't know that.

Now before you say anything it would be wise if we left the hallway and retired to my quarters for this conversation," Halo said as he turned and led them to his room. Halo's quarters was as big as a large house, complete with an upstairs and a basement. From what they could see of it, Halo had a large collection of Lightsabers and a few paintings of himself, his son, his relatives, and his wife. There was no door to his Force training room where he privately tutored Hasu. Halo had yet to clean up a mess of crayons and drawings Hasu had made before Shiu had arrived. There was a bit of a mess in the kitchen and the smell of cupcakes filled the room.
"I cook when I'm angry and can't afford to to calm myself. Care for a cupcake?" he asked.

"Now, what is it you wish to speak about? Have you seen my son?"

"Yes, we met him, and he seemed quite the distraught fellow. He was headed to the Jedi Academy when I last saw him. I came here to offer you my services in training the boy, for a little while at least, until we can figure a way to bring him back here. Now, before you refuse because I'm a Jedi, know this; I have travelled many worlds and learned many things in my time, including a great deal of knowledge of the Ancient Sith, from before they were tainted by Dark Jedi. I know Sith powers that utilize the Force to do many great and terrible things, powers that the Sith believed to be magical spells, and were named as such."

Satisfied with his explanation, Kolte took the cupcake and held it in one hand, palm flat. He focused on the cupcake, and it disappeared in a brilliant flash of fire.

"It's called the Abyssal Fire spell. The user summons a ball of pure kinetic energy which superheats the air around it, giving an observer the impression that it is a ball of fire. It is one of many talents I have learnt. Now may I have another, this one to eat?"

"Have as many as you'd like."
Halo leaned back and took a deep breath.
"Had I wanted Hasu to learn ancient Sith powers I would have handed him over to Shiu, despite whatever his teachings on teh side may have been. The fireball trick is one Shiu demonstrated to me when he was my master. No, there are many paths in front of Hasu that he has to take and I intend to lead him on the path I have set for him. I will retrieve him myself from teh Jedi academy, even if it means burning it to the ground."
Shiu took another deep breath and closed his eyes.
"Or maybe not. Yes. That's a good idea."
Shiu stood up and took one of his lightsabers and handed it to Kolte.
"This was one of Shiu's lightsabers. Hide it from Hasu. Train him in the ways of the Jedi, but make sure to keep his sould tinted so he will return to me. When I contact you telling you his Jedi training is finished, take him to the Force Caves on Red Homes. There he will assemble his own lightsaber. Then give him this and return Hasu to me. If you don't bring him back I will track you down and kill you myself."

Kolte nodded once again, took the datapad, and turned to leave. Passing the guard at the front entrance, he smiled and nodded. A taxi conveyed him to the Jedi Academy, all the while he took in the sights of this strange new world. At least, it was strange and new to him. He mind contimplated the things that Halo had told him, all the while he wondered what the creature was hiding from him. All well, it didn't matter. He was sure to be compensated well for his services. Long ago he had learned to pay no heed to what actions he would need to take as long as it served the greater good. Years of bounty hunting and mercenary contracting had taught him that lesson. Kolte took it to heart. He would train this boy, and plant ideas in his head of one day returning to his father, and the Sith way of life.

The Jedi Academy was a grand building, an architectural wonder. Kolte had come to expect that from the Jedi. After all, most were quite arrogant, and tended to show off much more than needed. Their architecture was just another symptom of this disease.

He entered through the main doors, and inquired where he might find the headmaster of the academy.

A small one man fighter hurtles toward Green Sun City. The craft is in critical condition, and its pilot tries desperatly to keep it under control for a few more minutes. The craft is in critical condition because it had been ambushed as it left the atmosphere of Naxderia, home planet of the pilot, by a squad of highly trained fighters. The dogfight had been long, but the would be death-squad was no match for Xander Voltare's abilities. Unfortunatly, Xander's fighter, the Vagabond, had taken several direct hits, and lost the navigational computer, shields, and the engines were failing. Only his strength with the Force kept the Vagabond together as he piloted it toward the nearest location he knew of off the top of his head...

"Mayday, Mayday! Attention Green Sun City Space Port, this is Alpha Rouge 1, pilot of the Vagabond. The Vagabond is in critical condition and must land immediatly! If you have traffic on the landing strip, get them outta my way!"

Xander knew that the Vagabond was history: it would explode any moment now, and Xander could only hope that he would be close enough to the ground to bail and live. He fought the stick as he realized he was about to lose steering as well. He managed to line the 'Bond up with the strip when it went dead stick, and throttled down enough to bring the nose up. When he felt that the bird would make it to the strip, he shut the engine off and hoped that his gliding modifications would kick in: they didn't. Xander now had no choice. Grabbing his knapsack, he opened the cockpit and Force-Leap out and to the side. The left wing caught him in the ribs as it went by, knocking the wind out of him. Xander called on the Force and slowed himself as he fell, but he still hit the ground hard, fracturing several ribs. He looked up in time to see his beloved fighter slam into the ground and explode. He struggled to his feet and lifted his pack onto his right shoulder so he could favor his left side. A normal man would have laid there in agony, but Xander Voltare had at one time been a Jedi Master of the Megan Jedi Order and had sat on the Council...

But seventeen years ago, his former student, Kolte Savren, had betrayed the Jedi Codes and had been expelled from the Order. That event had triggered a chain reaction in Xander that eventually led to him murdering Kolte's lover Julina, and his renounciation of the Jedi Order. For seven years he wandered from place to place, usually drunk, until he tracked Kolte down on Krioval. At that point, all hell broke loose as Xander confronted Kolte in combat. Kolte killed Xander out of pity and love, and Xander was able to retain his identity within the Force. He returned to Kolte, who used his knowledge of ancient Sith sorcerey to resurrect Xander. The two had parted ways, and in the ten years that passed, Xander returned to his home planet of Naxderia and entered into the services of the Naxderian Jedi Council as a mercenary who went on missions the Council wanted to keep off the records. He had also improved on his knowledge of Dark Side abilities and ancient Sith sorcerey, while sharpening his lightsaber skills. But tragedy struck once again as the Emperor of Naxder Drol learned of Xander's unique position and declared him an Enemy of the Empire. This led to the space battle that had led Xander here...

Xander's knee high black boots clocked off a steady beat as he made his way to the remains of the Vagabond. He stood only 5'10", and was in his early sixties. He sported a close shaven gray beard, and straight shoulder length grayish-white hair. He wore black-brown trousers and a matching tunic. Completing the ensemble was a standard Jedi utility belt, which now contained a day's worth of food capsules, an aqua breather, a medpac, a tool kit, a comlink, and his green bladed curved fencing lightsaber. His knapsack contained a spare change of clothes, a black cloak, his bedroll, two thousand Jedi Credits, a datapad, and spare parts for his lightsaber, should the need arise. He reached what was left of the Vagabond, and his head fell. He had practically built her himself, and there was no way to salvage her. Dropping his pack, he pulled the medpac from his belt and looked around until he found the syringe. It was filled with a mild pain killer, only strong enough to assist him in forgetting about the pain for a short while. Jamming it into his thigh, he allowed the pain killer to begin working before dropping to his knees and entering a meditative state, slowly healing himself as he waited for whoever it was who handled these kind of situations to find him...

Xander slung his knapsack over his right shoulder, looked around, and asked in his sarcastic way,

"So...did you bring a medvac vehicle, or do we walk?"

That leaves a trail, and I'm not supposed to exist. Got them second-hand from many different people on the Naxderian Black Market over the course of several years. In fact, the only way Emperor Drol could have found out about me is from the Jedi Council itself...but that's for another day. Right now all I need is two things: for you fine gentleman to wrap my ribs, and directions to the nearest Jedi Temple."

Xander pulled his datapad from his pack and looked up expectantly...

Black Sun has become more rutheless since we took out one of its most important bases."

"No, on both accounts. The Empire likes to isolate itself from everyone except the Megan Empire, of which we are a protectorate. My special ops missions were always within the Megan Empire, if you're wondering."

The old warrior turned his attention to his datapad and entered the directions to the Temple. He only had two thousand Jedi Credits to his name, and he would need a place to stay while he obtained a new fighter.

My best plan would be to serve the Jedi Temple as a combat instructor for a while...I can only hope...of course, I've been in worse situations...especially in Torokara...amazing to think that I was killed ten years ago and then resurrected by the same person...Kolte Savren...my former apprentice...I haven't seen him in ten years...though, it doesn't haunt me as it did during the seven years after Julina's murder...before the Conception...ironic, really...a ritual to destroy and then reshape a world...and I just happened to be destroyed and reborn...

Xander was taken slighty aback, but wasn't surprised. It sounded like something the Jedi would do.

"So that explains at least part of the tension. But I sense something more...but nevermind that for now. How about we get these ribs wrapped. I may be a former Jedi Master, but I am in my sixties."
Green Sun

The paramedic retrieved some gauze and wrapped Xander's ribs.
"You're free to go. For someone in his sixties, you're in good shape. Heh. Then again, I remember when Shiu was in a car wreck here. He's in his late seventies and is in such good shape, a doctor just looking at his records would hay he's in his mid twenties."
As Xander was leaving, a Spaceport official caught up with him.
"Sir, on behalf of UziCorp and Green Sun, I undertsand what it's like to lose a ship you built yourself. UziCorp wants to compensate you for the amount it cost you to build your ship or will give you a new one. Green Sun is actually decommisioning thousands of Type 59 fighters that are being de-armed and refitted for sale to civilians if you're intersted. Very high-quality aircraft, incredibly fast. They can reach up to Warp Three, which is incredibly fast for a fighter of its age."

Xander's face broke into a wide grin. He couldn't believe his luck, and replied,

"You said the Type 59 can reach Warp 3? The Vagabond could barely hit Warp 1. Very impressive. If you can give it to me free, I'll take one!"

"Well, I AM the front gaurd, sir. That's my job. Anyway, I can tell the Vice Headmaster that you're here. Are you here to bring Hasu back to his father?"
"No, actually, quite the contrary. If allowed I intend to train the boy. In the ways of the Jedi, that is. I'm sure your headmaster will be very reluctant, but once he sees that I am only here to help, well, he'll probably change his mind." Kolte answered. This boy certainly knew how to squeeze for information, and Kolte didn't think it any trouble to let the padawan know the truth of what Kolte intended. At least, the truth that was his cover.

The boy gave out a heavy sigh. He could sense the Dark Side in this man. This man was sent here to train Hasu because he was going to get something in return for it. He could sense the greed within him. But maybe a few years at the Jedi Academy would clear the cloud. The Headmaster was known to clear the Dark Side out of Sith and turn them into Jedi.
"Here on Green Sun we do things a bit differently. You won't see Hasu as your Padawan for some time, first they have to go through basic training. The Vice-Headmaster can arrange for you to train the younglings for a few years until you earn the faculties' trust. I can sense the Dark Side in you, Sir. And if you think I'm honest, then you should meet the Vice-Headmaster. He will see you now. Third floor, fourth door on your left."

"Very well. Where would you like it moved to? I can see you're a Force-User of some sort. Would you like it delivered to the Jedi or Sith Academy?"

OOC: Heads up for you GS, Kolte's a very skilled and learned master of Force powers, including the ability to mask or clout one's Force presence to a certain extent. Meaning that a padawan would hardly be strong enough in the Force to percieve Kolte's intentions. Normally I would stir up a debate on this, but since you let Kolte in anyway, never mind.

"Thank you." Kolte nodded his head to the padawan. He knew that the padawan would probably be confused by his wanting to train the boy, but then again, the padawan was very perceptive. Perhaps he did see through Kolte's ploy. It didn't matter either way, Kolte had at least the opportunity to see the second-in-charge, that was good enough for him. He followed the padawan's directions exactly, and wound up at a door. Not seeing any means of a doorbell or such, he simply knocked.

"The door's open, Kolte."
The door opened by itself. The Vice-Headmaster was busy shuffling through papaers and organizing everything on his desk. After two minutes he sat down on the other side of the table and looked at Kolte.
"You're a fairly powerful force-user, Kolte. The sixth most powerful I've met besides myself. The others being the Bringer, Darth Shiu, General Lucas, the Headmaster, and Darth Halo, in that order. You have some experience with the Dark Side, I can see that as well. Knowlege of the enemy is the greatest weapon in espionage, my father always told me. You wish to teach here as a Jedi Master, yet you are not a Jedi anymore. Green Sun and its citizens tend to be a bit liberal about these things. I can offer you a teaching position, but I cannot offer you the position of a full-fledged Jedi or Jedi Master until we can clear the Dark Side from you."
The vice-Headmaster looked at Kolte's surprised face.
"The Bringer taught Darth Shiu who in turn taught three padawans in his lifetime so far. Myself, the Headmaster, and Darth Halo. The Bringer was almost a complete abstract being. It took an immense amount of power in the Force. I am the third generation inhertiting those teachings from such a powerful being. My padawan, the one out front, is the fourth generation. It's not surprising that we have the power to sense these things. One could say my master's master was the Force itself. But do not worry of these trivial things, Kolte. Most of this paperwork is scientific research trying to figure it out. It confuses me much, much more than it does to you. My padawan is outside. He will escort you to your quarters. You will begin teaching next week."

Xander was greatly pleased, for he now had a means of moving around, and at much higher speeds. He thought for a second, and replied,

"Have it sent to the Jedi Acadamy. I plan on teaching lightsaber combat there until I can get back on my feet, so to speak. As a former Jedi Master, and a life-long fencer, I believe that expertise would be greatly appreciated. Now, I bid you fareware, and thank you. May the Force be with you all."

Xander turned and walked off and away from the spaceport, consulting his datapad every so often to check his heading. He soon approached the Temple, and reeled as he felt the presence of the one person in the entire universe he still gave half a damn about.

Of all the planets I could have crash landed on, I land on the same one Kolte is on...by the Force, has it really been ten years since Torokara...

The Vice-Headmaster noticed Xander walking towards the Jedi Academy. He sighed. Another former Jedi wanting a job. He sent down the job application to his padawan to hand to Xander. He had one delivered to Kolte as soon as he was settled in. Hopefully this one wasn't so strong in the Dark Side.

Kolte was pleased with his new accomodations, a modest yet roomy apartment-like dwelling; he had seen much worse in his time. Anticipation swept through him. He didn't quite recieve the position he had come for, but at least he would be able to teach Hasu. The time would come when he would take the boy as a padawan; it was inevitable. It was also something new for Kolte. He had taught young Jedi who were nearly his own age in his time at the Tirolian Jedi Academy, it couldn't be that different here. Basic Form I lightsaber techniques, basic Force abilities such as Push and Pull, and of course, meditation and the control of emotions. Kolte could remember it like it was yesterday, the joy he experienced when sharing his knowledge of the Force and life with his students. But, he had never taken on a padawan learner. Whether this was because of his sudden departure from the Order or another, deeper reason, he did not know. It was of little consequence.

The young padawan he had met earlier, whom he now knew to be the VH's apprentice, entered Kolte's quarters with what he resolved must be his job description. He studied the papers, then looked up at the boy.

"Forgive me, lad, but I'm unable to read the native language. Would you mind telling me what this says until I'm able to run a translater program into my datapad? What age group will I be instructing, and what will I be instructing to them?"

Xander took one look at the Padawan and realized that Kolte must have applied as well.

Interesting...I wonder what postition Kolte applied for...

He took the form from the Padawan with a muttered "Thanks" and began filling it out as he walked to the front doors.

"Let's see...position desired? Lightsaber combat instructor. Qualifications? Hightly experienced in all Forms of lightsaber combat, and master of Forms II, III, IV. And the rest...doesn't matter. I'm sure they have need of a swordsman as gifted as me."

Xander finished filling out his application and handed it to the Padawan, and asked,

"Shall I wait here, or should I follow you?"

"Third floor, fourth door on your left is the Vice-Headmaster's office. He'll assign you your room," the padawan told Xander.
-----------------------
"You seem eager to meet with Hasu. I can send him down here to do that for you, I've got to gaurd the front door. A rather dreary job, really. He's feeling much better now. What language are you literate with? Perhaps I can get a translated form for you. He have them in almost five thousand languages."

Xander nodded, and replied

"Thank you, young one. May the Force be with you."

As he walked through the halls of the acadamy, memories of his days at the Tirolian Jedi Acadamy came flooding back to him. He could remember his excitement as he hurried through the halls to his fencing classes, and the sheer joy as his master complimented him on his ever improving skills. This one memory in particular both warmed and pained his heart. His master had rarely shown any kind of fondness toward him; perhaps that was why he had become so attached to Kolte over the years. He allowed his mind to wander, and before he realized it, he had come to the Vice-Headmaster's office door.

I have got to stop doing that...one of these days its going to get me killed...

He shook his hair out of his face, and knocked on the door...

The Vice-Headmaster smiled as he watched Xander walk in.
"Welcome to the Green Sun Jedi academy. Hold for a few seconds."
The Vice-Headmaster stared at Xander for a while. Xander felt it was more into him than at him. He could sense he was using the force.
"You've been heavily scarred in your life. I promise that those wounds will heal. You may have been expelled from the Jedi elsewhere, but the Green Sun Jedi would be more than happy enough to reinstate you, Xander. I see you're the teacher of another new teacher, Kolte. He is here. But I'm going to have to ask you to avoid contact with him as much as possible. I can sense the Dark Side within him. If you two meet face to face, it would make it grow within him. Your quarters are on the Second level, last door on your right. You will start teaching in two days if you turn in your application today."
The Vice-Headmaster went back to his work.

Xander allowed the Vice-Headmaster to study him in silence. He thought about the man's statement of Kolte being strong with the Dark Side.

I don't believe it...after every thing that I have done to prevent him from walking that path...damn it...

"I assure you that I will not seek him out, but I can not say the same for him. I tried ten years ago to steer him away from the path that I once took, but it seems it was all for not. He is powerful with the Force; he has undoubtedly felt my presense by now. I gave my application to the Padawan you sent for me."

Xander turned to leave, but remembered the spaceport official's generous gift.

"I was forced to crash land at the landing strip, and my ship was lost. After hearing that I had built it myself, a spaceport official offered to give me a de-commishened and de-armed Type 59 fighter. I accepted and asked him to have it brought to the acadamy. Do you have a hanger here or will I need to find storage for it?"
Green Sun
16-07-2005, 00:15
"I understand. My first padawan followed that path, but I brought him back."
He sighed.
"My master also trained the second most powerful Sith here in Green Sun, so to an extent I have connections with the Dark Side as well. As for your ship, we have a large storage facility for our vehicles. Of course we'll have to put it with our others and it won't be exclusively yours. If you ever leave the planet, however, you get first dibs on it."

"I understand. Attachment is forbidden by the codes. I appreciate your generosity, Vice-Headmaster. If you have need of me, I shall be in my quarters. May the Force be with you."

Xander made his way back down to the Second level, and entered his new quarters. He had to admit, he was impressed. It would be a welcome change. He had spent the last fifty or so years of his life on the move, never staying in one place for too long. He had taught Kolte everything he knew, and he would always think of that as his greatest accomplishment. But now he had the chance to share his knowledge of lightsaber skills with the younglings, something he had always wanted to do but he had ascended to the Council instead. Xander set his pack down on the bed, and made his way to the window to think...

"That would be excellent, thank you. I'm fluent in many languages, unfortunately your native language doesn't happen to be one of them." Kolte nodded to the Padawan and awaited Hasu's arrival.
