A recent breakdown in negitations with the Occidental Confederacy has lead to a state of emergency in 28 of Alexonium's 32 provinces being declared. This is as a result of widespread riotrs in the urban areas, as it appears Prince Leif has been paying people out of pocket to violently protest. There are rumors that Leif has been recieving funding from sympahtizers suchs as Farmia an Armadian Chese, though such things have yet to be proven. This has arisen out of cash depostis amounting to over PHZ100'000'000 over the past 3 days at at least 200 branches.
Emir Alex II has horaded his nukes to an unspecified location , and trading on the Purplehaze Joint [PHZ] has spiked on speculators selling en masse. As of 8:10 Alexonium Standard Time, the PHZ had dropped from 1.2 to 28.3 to the dollar. As a result, Emir Alex II has called for eleventh-hour negotiations, though he does not wish to set a precident.
The current deal will allow for a popular over-ride of legislation in a province, provided that all citizend be allowed to leave and enter the province with goods and vehicles that are allowed under the central government, and and that airspace still be regulated by the central government, both are unconditional on account of the 'necessesary regulations of maintaining a federation on the provincial level.'
