Background:
The Portland Iron Works have recently added to their large trimaran hulled vessel offerings with the Vigilant-class superdreadnaught, easily the pride of Sarzonia. As a complement to the venerable Constellation-class dreadnaught, the Portland Iron Works is developing another vessel to serve a ASuW role and serve as flagships for smaller actions where a superdreadnaught would be considered prohibitively expensive.

The result of this labour is the Brandywine-class dreadnaught. Armed with nine 610 mm ETC guns, the Brandywine can instill fear in opponents with a well-armed warship and command centre capable of serving in lieu of a light to medium-sized aircraft carrier and command flagship. The Brandywine can fill these roles and more.

Brandywine-class light command dreadnaught
Length: 446 m; Beam: 86.8 m; Draught: 14.5 m
Displacement: 417,800 tonnes full
Armament: 3 x 3 610 mm ETC guns in A, B & Y pos.
8 x 1 153 mm naval railguns (port and starboard)
8 x 1 140 mm ETC guns (port and starboard)
4 x 48 cell Mk. 136 VLS (capable of launching 'Scourge' and 'Scorcher' missiles
4 x 650 mm TT (for 'Bayonet' torpedoes)

KERI foam installed into void spaces serves as limited protection against KE attacks. Further protection provided by composite rods and kinetic reducing ceramic plates.
Propulsion: 6 x Pebblebed nuclear reactors; 8 compulsators provide power to naval railguns. Four internalised waterjets. Extensive thermal insulation reduces infared signature and noise emission. Two gas turbines provide emergency propulsion. 35.2 knots.
Aircraft: Capable of carrying 36 VSTOL fighters and four medium ASW helicopters.
Electronics: AN/SLY-2 (V) Advanced Integrated Electronics Warfare System; AN/SPY-4 MFR and AN/SPN-23 navigational radars; AN/SQR-6 (B) passive towed array and AN/SQS-57 dual-mode mounted digital sonar array; A/P Mounted Sonar: AN/SQS-57 active/passive, preformed beam, digital sonar providing panoramic echo ranging and panoramic (DIMUS) passive surveillance.

Do you have the stats for the Vigilant-class superdreadnaught?

The stats will not be used to benefit USTIO, we are an inland nation.

With a multitrillion defense budget, I'll take one.

$65 billion will be wired on confirmation that the ship has shipped so to speak.

Managing Director, Portland Iron Works
Subject: Confirmation of order

The Portland Iron Works is pleased to confirm your order for one of our brand new Brandywine-class light command dreadnaughts. We are especially proud of this new design, as we believe it to be a tremendous advance in our efforts to create a command ship that can strike fear in the hearts of opponents at a reasonable cost in comparison to the superdreadnaughts of the world.

Work will begin immediately on your ship and we expect to have it completed within 10 NS years (10 RL days) and delivered to you following sea trials. We hope this new ship serves your navy well in the years ahead.

Thank you for contacting the Portland Iron Works for your naval needs and we hope to hear from you again in the future!
