OOC: A little history and insight into the current conflict. Shubaltz was a member of the region of New Zanzibar, but has been inactive and his account deleted, so in the effort to pacify his people in the absense of government i will annex his territorys.(which is the island to the south of my nation) We use near-future and modern weaponry and systems. Anyway that wants to get involved with the operation can as long as they don't use really futuristic stuff like mechs and airships and things. Also no fantasy stuff allowed either.

Kaiser Von Brockdorff II sat in front of his chief of staffs, in the capitol of Veluki, the planned invasion of Shubaltz was to take place today.
"Kaiser, the plan to take Shubaltz under our control is worth the risk. It has become a nation full of criminals and people living for free on a island with no standing government any more. It is a threat to the region of New Zanzibar and our nation, and should be dealt with." Said the minister of Foreign Affairs, Agron Luki.
The Lord General of the Army, Alexander Kerensky got up next.
"Kaiser, we expect his to be a simple move in and police action, and as such we are sending the 3rd Infantry, 4th and 5th Light Infantry and the 1st Marine divisions. Of which we expect only the 3rd infantry and police units to stay as a lasting force on the island."

The Kaiser stood, "Very well, the attack should commence as soon as all the units are ready. Our allies on the continent haven't expressed and displeasure with our annexation plans for Shubaltz. Thus, we can expect no trouble from them. You are dismissed"

The next day the Kaiser stood before the entire military to give his speech to them. Kaiser Von Brockdorff, giving his speech to the troops (http://killzone.ng-gamer.nl/images/art/1/03.jpg)

"Sons and daughters of the Republic! We have come to the time when we can not selfishly care only for the well-being of ourselves. It is the moment that we take the welfare of all the peoples of good faith. Today is the day when we bring order to those weary of chaos, when we bring justice to the land of lawlessness. Today we shall move into the lands of Shubaltz, and integrate them within our own for the sake of peace and order. Thus, you the strength in my arm, the power in my words, the force in my ideas, will go forth and vanquish those who would keep this from happening. Bring honor to your divisions, bring honor to your family, and above all bring honor to your country!"
The Kaiser stepped off the podium and the soldiers all saluted, yelling, "Sieg!"

*Next Day*
Kaiser Von Brockdorff turned on the television to the national news channel, which was just coming on with a special broadcast.
"This is a MNC report, just minutes ago Macedonian forces launched a assault into the ungoverned nation of Shubaltz. Missles launched form the submarine 'Kilsa' have struck the old capital building. "The 3rd infantry division has struck in the north, coming in with their heavier weapons and vehicles aboard large landing craft launched from the Battlecruisers 'Stuttgart' and 'Hamburg'. The 4th and 5th light infantry divisions landed in the east, as well as the 1st Marine division. The two units objective is to meet at the capital in the central parts of the island and set up martial law there. The government of Macedonia has called for any support able to be given in this peace-keeping operation. Suppo...."

The Kaiser turned off the TV and turned to his advisor, "Any casualitys yet?" The advisor looked at his notepad, "One of our chaplains was killed as he was trying to convert a village, some religious fanatic of the old theocracy took a shotgun to him. The squad at the scene 'purified' the people present and took what supplies they could back to base, reporting the village secure."

The Kaiser was pleased that only one of his men were dead, but for it to be a holy man hurt him somewhat, "Increase the bodyguards for the missionary chaplains, i want these people turned to our beliefs, they are worth more to us than if they were just to be shot."

"Yes, Kaiser, your will be done." The advisor bowed and left. "All is going according to plan as of right now....good, very, very good." The kaiser said to himself.

*Shubaltz*
The fighting had become real intense, real fast, as the Shubaltz' former military rose again at this threat to their freedom. As the units all entered the capital the war turned into a meat-grinder

"Forward! Keep your heads down and and your guns pointed forward!" Lt.Wagner yelled over the roar of machine gun and rifle fire. At the end of the street a heavy machine gun was tucked away in the rubble of a building, manned by two Shubaltz militia men. "Give me a rocket in that machine gun nest, ASAFP." He yelled to his platoon's anti-armor trooper. "Roger, sir!" The rocket flew down the street blinding the troops for a second as the machine gunners were engulfed in flames. "CHARGE!"

All around the city points of resistance were holding up the advance of the Macedonian forces. The bayonet and shotgun was seeing as much use as the tank and cannon. Jets were raining down lead on the toughest positions and the tanks were plowing a way for the troops. Inch by inch, the Macedonian army was winning, but at a cost.

*The capitol of Independent Macedonia*
The advisor walked back with a renewed death-toll, "Kaiser, things have become much worse, three hundred men are dead, but the islands largest city is now under our control and police units have moved in, as the rest of our forces are mopping up the rest of the country." Kaiser Von Brockdorff was pleased and sad at the same time. "Give all the dead the Legion of Macedon medal, and give the survivors the Star of the Republic. They have done well, also give the 4th and 5th Light and 1st Marine divisions all plenty of R&R time without training periods when they return. And try to cycle the 3rd Infantry with new recruits so that the veterns can see their familys and the newbies can get experiance." The Advisor bowed, "Your will be done."

The criminals of Shubaltz were being converted to good and honost Catholics or shot where they slept. This was the only way to insure a peaceful resolution to the annexation of Shubaltz.
