Description: MassPwnage needed to upgrade several thousand of its ancient Type 98s sitting around gathering dust, so that's exactly what we did. Hence this tank.

Countermeasures: Drozd-3 rocketlaunching countermeasure system, Shtora-3 IRCM Infrared Countermeasure system, Laser Rangefinder Warning Sensor/Laser Scrambler. Threat detection motion sensors.

Armor: Kaktus 6 ERA over ceramics, ELERA and a thin layer of single walled carbon nanotubes. Anti-spall liner as well.

Other Notes: Reinforced frame. Emp Hardened. Air conditioning, NBC air purification system, NBC anti-radiation system.

The Democratic Republic of Halberdgardia wishes to bring to the nation of MassPwnage's attention the following suggestions we have for modifying the basic design of the Type 98XR MBT (OOC: these were all pulled from the MBT-X125A1 Freedom thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=418310&page=1&pp=15), which I know you have visited):


Increasing the main gun's caliber to 135mm ETC, and possibly increasing the length of the tank to maintain current cabin space
Some sort of AA defense system (although there were some doubts about how well this would work on the Freedom, as you know)
"1x Laser (Anti-Missile?) Defense system"
Contacting the Technocratic Republic of Space Union for information on their Titanium-MM memory metal for armor
Upgrading the armor: conventional (or the current armor configuration) between two layers of Titanium-MM, or vice versa; or, alternatively, adding to the current configuration the following four-layered system: Steel-Titanium-Tunsgten-Steel


If the nation of MassPwnage does not wish to implement these suggestions into their own Type 98XRs, then we will simply implement them on our own 98XRs. Regardless of what changes MassPwnage makes, Halberdgardia's Type 98XRs will be manufactured with a 135mm ETC cannon, will be lengthened appropriately to maintain current cabin space with the larger gun, and upgraded electronic warfare/jamming equipment (including an EMP-rocket launcher, a design given to us by another nation). (OOC: how much do you think the tank would have to be lengthened to maintain current cabin space with a 135mm ETC gun?)
