The Military of the Island of Lord Arran

LAND - Lord Arran Naval Destroyers: The navy consists of 25000 men, all fully trained and qualified enough to do their part on most ships present in the LAND. The Navy consists of the standard smattering of naval ships, this is however, going to be massively improved as naval funding becomes sufficient enough to maintain the ambitious ideas of the Grand Admiral.

Status – Undergoing Development

LAAF - Lord Arran Air Force: The air force consists of 25000 men, each one trained to do his part efficiently on his respective aircraft which include but are not limited to: the Tornado fighter, the MIG-26 aircraft and the reliable Harrier VTOL aircraft.

Status – Operational

LAI1 - Lord Arran Infantry 1st brigade: The 1st brigade consists of 6500 well trained soldiers and 40 field technicians to help with on the spot tactics, equipment maintenance and more and they are always the first into the field.

Standard Issue Equipment:- SA80 Assault Rifle
.45 H&K Universal Self-Loading Pistol (USP)
7" Combat Knife
Canteen
MRE's effective for up to three days of combat
Kevlar Armour
Helmet

And the rest of the equipment that inhabits a soldier's inventory

Status – Operational

LAI2 -Lord Arran Infantry 2nd brigade: The second brigade consists of 6000 well trained soldiers and 40 field technicians to help with on the spot tactics, equipment maintenance and more and they are always quick into the field.

Standard Issue Equipment:- SA80 Assault Rifle
.45 H&K Universal Self-Loading Pistol (USP)
7" Combat Knife
Canteen
MRE's effective for up to three days of combat
Kevlar Armour
Helmet

Status – Operational

LAI3 - Lord Arran Infantry 3rd brigade:The third brigade consists of 8500 well trained soldiers and 50 field technicians to help with on the spot tactics, equipment maintenance and more and they always bring supplies in among their more increased numbers incase they have to settle in for the long haul of war.

LAISD - Lord Arran Infantry Search and Destroy: The ISD are the most highly trained infantry unit of the LA army. Their job is to investigate any reports of possible attacks and confirm or dismiss the possibility and be first into the battle front. The unit is made up of 5500 soldiers and 50 field technicians.

.45 H&K Universal Self-Loading Pistol (USP)
8" Combat Knife
Canteen
MRE's effective for up to three days of combat
Kevlar Armour

Status – Operational

LASC - Lord Arran Steel Command: This 12000 strong force of tanks commanders, drivers, gunners and technicians are all specialists in Challenger II's and are all proficient at what they do.

7" Combat Knife
Canteen
MRE's effective for up to three days of combat

Status – Operational

LASC2 - Lord Arran Steel Command II: This 12500 strong unit consists of recon, anti-air, armoured personnel carriers, artillery and missile trucks. They are available for call out by any other group or can be sent into the field to deal with a problem on their own but they usually require some ground based protection in case of an enemy encounter where it is unexpected.

Status – Operational

LABW - Lord Arran Black Watch: 2,500 strong in number but divided into 25 platoons of one-hundred they are skilled at highly delicate and covert operations. These are the equivalent of Marines, well trained in both armed and unarmed combat they excel in both. Skilled in the use of many different weapons and using the earth to their advantage (camouflage, food and crude weapons) they are highly flexible and can adapt to any situation.

BALM - Backbone of Lord Arran Military: As the name suggests the 195,000 people are the back bone of all operations by the Lord Arran military. Providing food for hungry troopers, weapons and ammunitions to the battle front, medical care for the injured, knowledge of positioning and tactics and machine maintenance. The army could not survive without them.

Status – Operational

LAE - Lord Arran Enforcers: This 400,000 strong police force is devoted to seeing the iron will of Lord Arran enforced by any means necessary - violence is not shunned by the brutal enforcers of the regime.

The Nimitz Aircraft carrier needs 3,200 people to operate. The air complement(85 planes) of the Nimitz requires 2,480 people.

Lord Arran, he does have a point. Aircraft Carriers require a substantial amount of people to maintain and supply. I suggest you, at most, use battleships for the moment.

right i have read your comments and i see that the aircraft carrier idea is too much and i am an island country so i have a greater need for navy rather than infantry.

yeah! I dont see what the problem is with the Dreadnoughts but i see the thing with the carriers and have had to get rid of them as my naval officers aren't numerous enough to support them.

(Dreadnaughts take thousands to support. For now, stick to a few basic fleets.)

Look, it's relatively simple. Take 2.5-5% of your pop, and that's how much military you have. This will change when your'e bigger (500 million and up), but for now, stick with this. Depending on what rating your economy has, that will determine your "buying power". This also will change with time. My economy is rated "good", but at 3 billion pop, with AI tech providing 95% of the labor force, Xeraph is worth trillions.
Back in pre-jolt days, I had a half-dozen friends create nations, and then turn them over to me as "subject-nations". I control them, and all that comes with them, thereby greatly increasing my capabilities, not to mention my net worth.
Also, get into a couple of good alliances, mainly for protection.

1. Puppets are created by a single player. And I agree, it's not the best way to play this game. The nations that were "given" to me are individually created by players who rarely log into their own nations. I play them for them.

2. Yes, alliances do have drawbacks. But overall, Xeraph has benefitted by them.

You didbn't understand. I meant that he is first country with super dreadnaughts, carriers and 7 million people and one battaillon. Meaning that I have never seen country with 7 million people, one battaillon of infantry and those carriers and super dreadnaughts. Thought it was pretty obvious... :confused:
