The Television Show, 'Who Wants to be a Clown' is interrupted suddenly.

"This is Stacey Keibler of Channel 354 news with this special news bulliten." She then turns toward a different camera. "Today, in a starteling press release, the Holy Empire has declared that 'the Army of the Holy Empire of Shazbotdom is to be dismanteled.' The letter goes on to say, 'with the creation of the Imperial Marine Corps, we feel that they have the sufficient training to carry the Holy Empire on for the next Millenia. The Army's training is outdated and is most definitally not needed for the Future of the Holy Empire.'"

"This has brought mixed feelings from both the civilians within the Holy Empire and certain members of Parliment. One deligate stated, 'Why pick this time to change the make-up of the Empire's Armed Forces? There are dozens of conflicts that the Army could handle.' While another deligate was pleased to announce, 'While I am uncertain of the outcome of this decision, I fully support the Emporer in his decisions. He knows what is best for the Empire.' Civilians are currently still trying to cope with the news. Although the letter does state farther down, 'Members of the old Army are welcome to train and become members of the Elite Marine Corps, and if they are good enough, part of the Black Ops Marine Corps Special Forces Units.' No official statments from the international community have been issued as of yet."

"This is Stacey Keibler with the Shazbotdom News Network, and now we return you to your orriginally schedualed programming."

The screen cuts to an image of the Imperial Flag.

OOC: Umm, is this MT or FT..? If FT, then I have nothing to say about it, if MT, then I'd say that's pretty short-sighted. Marines can't replace Army, just like Airforce can't replace navy nor rifle replace cannon.
Elite is good to have, but you need the core too, IMO. Or then, if your Marine Corps are about to become as flexible and large organization, including artillery, armoured units and normal infantry. In which case it'll be just Army with different name :) .

I'm moving toward Post MT. Going to have a short ranged space fleet that is kind of like FT but not as advanced so i'm considering it Post MT.
