Utrechtstadt
Staatspresident Maurice Nassau has officially declared that the Articles of Union binding Nederlands-Brabant to its counterpart, Deutsches Brabant is no longer in effect due to a complete impasse in the constitution. The democratic, left-leaning Nederlands-Brabant feels that it cannot really remain in union with its more conservative counterpart.
No comment from King Friedrich III, the monarch of the one-united nation of Brabant and most likely continued ruler of Deutsches Brabant or any member of his cabinet. Inhabitants of the Nederlands-Brabant capital city, Utrechtstadt celebrated the announcement, although they realize that there will be considerable difficulties in the adjustment to independence.
