Romanovsgrad, Derscon

"Go, go, go!" The commander of the Second Shock Troopers yelled to his company of Dersconi Schutzstaffel. His SS demo team blew open the door and tossed in two flashbang grenades. Strike Team Alpha stormed in the building, to the surprise of two people on the ground floor, who were immediately apprehended. STA made their way upstairs as Strike Team Beta entered the house to search the basement, while Stike Team Charlie searched the main floor.

The puropse of the raid was reports of the house being a known safehouse/hideout for homosexuals within Derscon.

"Shock Actual, this is Alpha Six," the commander of Second Shock Troopers heard over his radio. "We have apprehended ten suspects, and killed three."

"Why the deaths?" The Commander radioed back. He didn't care about the loss of life itself -- just the paperwork.

"They were armed."

"Alright." Great, even MORE paperwork. "Beta, what's your status?"

"Well," Beta Six radioed. "We apprehened two people, and killed five. There's a small arms cashe, and the now-dead suspects decided to go for it. Oops."

"Charlie?" Instead of using the radio, Charlie Six just walked out from a room.

"Sir, we apprehened five suspects, no deaths." Thank God! No paperwork!

"Excellent," the Company commander told him, nodding. Everyone got outside with the prisoners lined up on the ground, facedown.

"Okay, load them up into the trucks, and lets get outa here." With that, the prisoners were taken to makeshift prison camps set outside of Romanovsgrad, which seemed to be the center of homosexual activity in Derscon.

These actions were repeated in fifteen other homes and apartment buildings in Romanovsgrad.

Earth Orbit

The drone moved, as usual, orbiting Earth, endlessly, expending as little energy as possible, a minor source of heat, a minimal hazard to orbital traffic, like untold thousands of other objects like it.

Like most DA drones, it was semi-sentient. Like most DA drones, it was currently fought about, three different factions trying to control it in order to ensure success in the continuing civil war.

It was a tad annoying, being hacked, hacked again, switching sides every few minutes (On slow days), while knowing that it could as well be shot at, should the conflict enter a somewhat hotter phase.

Luckily, this hadn't happened, yet.

It was an ORD, an Orbital Reconnaissance Drone, it's job being to watch and to record. And this was exactly what it did.

At this particular moment, it was floating over the side of Earth opposite to DA Sisgardia. It had nothing to do, hacking attempts were rare, and would continue to be rare for the next thirty-odd seconds. It had time for itself.

A glimpse down there. A few communications listened to, followed by the drone-equivalent of quiet laughter. Having been built in a society as liberal as DA, the stoneageness (A favourable term, really, given that tribal societies occasionally tend to be comparatively liberal, when it comes to sexuality) of a nation like Derscon just strikes it as being horribly unfashionable.

Still, deportation is a viable option, and while not being especially nice, while doubtlessly being a permanent institution (After all, homosexuality isn't necessarily socially induced. As such, there will hardly ever be a lack of homosexuals in Derscon, no matter just how many they're going to deport. Well, disregarding the option of Derscon's population simply stopping to breed), while doubtlessly being somewhat short-sighted, it is still a mild case of oppression, nothing particularly serious, except perhaps for Drescon's economic and militarily capacities, given that it is freely giving away valuable resources, labour in particular.

Business as usual, on Earth.

A second communication is listened to, a second laughter-equivalent uttered, noticeable only as a particularly brief burst of static.

It decides to keep an eye on Derscon whenever it is capable of watching it. The slaughter of a Doujin fleet, apparently sent in a blatant fit of hubris, believing that such a (In the greater scheme of things) negligible force could actually take out a nation like Derscon, should be worth watching.

It can hardly wait.

We condemn the actions of Derscon and invite any oppressed homosexuals to seek asylum in our Venusian paradise.

Upon recieving word from the Third Chief Directorate of the KGB that Doujin naval vessals were deployed into Dersconi waters, the Dersconi Imperial Superfleet, coded R 13:1 (OOC: Guess the Bible verse and get a cookie!), was immediately mobilized from its island bases on the Praetorian Islands*. Fleet Admiral Mikhial Zimmerov was on board his flagship of the (total) one hundred fifty ship strong fleet**, the HMS Appolyon -- Archangel class dueldeck Superbattlecarrrier. (OOC: If anyone asks, PP, do be kind enough to tell them what it is -- electromagnetics and all.)

"Well, isn't this nice of them," the Fleet Admiral said partly to himself, partly to the Commanders in the CIC.

"Sir, KGB has uploaded its satellite feed to us," a Lieutenant said from far away in the CIC.

"Put it on the big screen." A forty-eight inch plasma-screen TV popped out of the wall and displayed the Doujin fleet heading towards Derscon. He then looked at his holomap in the center of the CIC displaying friendly and -- when they get here -- enemy ships. He got on the comm to the Forward Fleet***.

Zimmerov: Hey, you all mobilized?

Forward: Yes, we are.

Zimmerov: Excellent. He switched over to status screens on another display. Hmm, he thought to himself. Another thirty minutes untill we are fully operational. That should do. He turned to SUPCOMSUB.

"Admiral, I want a subscreen ten miles from Dersconi waters."

"Aye aye." Admiral Zimmerov then radioed in to shore, picking up Imperial Admiral Marko Herkjyavich, the CINCNAV of Derscon.

Marko: Yes, Mikhail?

Mikhial: Are you activating ATLANTIS?

Marko: Do you want me to? That can pose a threat to your own ships.

Mikhial: Yes, sir, I'd prefer you do. Less Submarine work.

Marko: Okay, I'll do so.

Mikhial set the comm down and went to the in-fleet all-broadcast system.

Superfleet, this is your Admiral Speaking. ATLANTIS is alive, so be careful.

He flipped it off when another Lieutenant yelled out to him.

"Sir! We have a Pschycotic Pschycos fleet approaching!" Zimmerov smiled.

"I wonder if it's Yamamoto? Get a comm link with it!"

"Aye aye, sir!"

With recent events unfolding, we would like to address the imperialist nations threatening war with Derscon -- these threats are uncalled for and rediculous. The Czar has gone out of his way to allow foreign nations to take in these homosexuals so they will not be harmed, yet you still threaten war with us?

Should any attack on Derscon be made, the Wrath of Almighty God will come down upon you.

To those nations supporting us -- the Czar sends his heartfelt thanks to you. Your gratitude will not be forgotten.

As some of you may know, the Czar is due to be wed to Katherine Rice of Formal Dances, and he wishes not for an armed conflict to befall Derscon during this time of rejoicement.

For the nations that wish to accept the homosexuals from Derscon -- you are forbidden to come by land or air. Only sea travel will be accepted, and absolutely no armed vessals may enter Dersconi waters! They will only be given one warning to turn around, and then they will be sunk.

For now, though, with Dersconi waters being a hostile environment to foreign vessals at the time, we request, for your saftey, you do not send your ships at this moment.

To Doujin: Stand down. Derscon does not wish for an armed conflict, but any attempt to land a foreign military unit, be it ship or soldier, on Derscon will result in a full retaliation against your nation.

Since the development of InterContinental Ballistic Missiles, it has been the policy of Derscon that any invasion of Dersconi Homeland will result in the immediate launch of these nuclear weapons at the invading nation. We will not back down from this policy.

Keep that in mind. Doujin, we do not want an armed conflict, but if you attack us, the people of Derscon will stop at nothing until you are defeated.

*The Praetorian Islands form a defensive shield of sorts in front of the Dersconi mainland. You know the five star layout on the RL China's flag? Think that, only more than five. :)

**Obviously, it takes time to mobilize that large of a fleet. Also, this number includes logistics, but they for the obvious reasons are not being mobilized, so the number is a bit smaller than that.

***The superfleet, due to its large size, is divided up into four "minifleets" -- the Forward, Aft, Port, Starboard, and Command fleet. The fleets are named for the direction they are located relative to the Superfleet Flagship, HMS Appolyon, located in the Command fleet in the centre of the formation. Each fleet operates independently of each other, but is centred around the Command fleet.

Space Defense Platform Cairo

The massive Cosmic Defense Space Station Cairo began shifting orbit to head over Doujin. It carried nuclear-tipped missiles, but they were not ICBMs. The only thing they really had to worry about was reentry, so they were designated "SEMs," or Space to Earth Missiles. Since it could not rely on a ballistic path, they were sometimes as large or larger than a normal ICBM, as it had to direct itself correctly for reentry, as a space shuttle would. At the appropriate altitude and angle, the warheads/MIRVs would be released, and the missile would either stay in the atmosphere and burn itself up, or land on the ground to cause a kinetic energy detonation (oh by the way, plus the fuel)

The crew was manning their battlestations. Most were at the missile fire controls, but some manned antisatellite weaponry, in case any attack satellites -- which Derscon had quite a few of, hence it was assumed other nations had them also -- decided to wander their way. They were also effective at taking down antisatellite weapons. The station itself was coated and designed as to reflect the heat that a ground- or space-based laser might have.

The target coordinates were set already, and it waited for the orders that the crew on board hoped would never come.

There are three unarmed transport ships.
They will be flying the Ridgian flag. As a fellow Prussian nation, we also pledge to defend you if you are attacked, as you know we would anyway.
