Camden watched the two F-139 Snowbird VTOL's being fueled up, prepared for what was to come. While the load of Skysear XLRAA missiles was certainly enough to do the job to come, he wondered about the craft itself - they had only come off the line seven weeks ago, and few had enough hours to know all the quirks the plane would be able to pull out.

Camden's hundred and twenty hours - was it enough? He downed the coffee, crushed the cup. One trip to the Jacks before the flight... nothing like the warm and wet during a combat mission to mess up your timing...

Colonel Iqbal Shaw hadn't been this nervous since worrying about if the Noviet's knew which side to shoot at during the landings near Dar Es Salaam.

His men were the best - of that he had no doubt. The chutes were packed, vehicles prepared and loaded... the question now, would the drop be good enough?

And what did Teh Ninja's have on their side?

The red light came on - and the time for worry and wonder came to an end. "Hook up, boys! And play it like it's hot!"
"SIR YES SIR!"

Best unit in the VAS... time to prove it.
