John Fergunson: Hello I'm John Fergunson for USPT News. Many people in the US Space Territory are against each other. Some say that economic independence from the nation is what it needs. Others say the territory will need aid. This is definitly a hot debate at hand. In fact the polls show that *Shows poll* 48.5% favor economic independence while the others do not. *Fades* *Shows another poll* The not sure numbers where 38% which includes people who didnt awnser. That was not included in the previous poll. *Goes back to newsroom* Also there is an unpopular (even on the mainland) debate that has been brought up in the House, since that since US Space Territory is called a territory it should be treated that way and have appointed advisors. *House debating it* Many representatives find this unfair, but realize that other territories in the past couldn't vote. When the territories became open for colonization in 2030 waves of people came in from not just the main land but from other countries. So far it looks as though it won't pass. *Shows officers struggling to handle crowd* Yet, many protests about the representatives that brought up this topic where near the edge of violent, since it has been brought up a day ago. There has been over 7 mass protests all containing around 10,000 people. That is 7% of the population folks. However, most of the people have been in the previous ones. We will be right back after this commercial break to give you more info. on the major events all the time in the US Space Territories.
