WAR REDECLARED AGAINST ROMAN REPUBLIC

JOINT RESOLUTION Declaring that a state of war exists between the Dictorial Government of the Roman Republic and the Government and the people of the Allied States of Palixia and the Distrubuted teritorries of Kevistis and Palixian Reform and making provisions to prosecute the same.

Whereas the Ditatorship of the Roman Republic has committed unprovoked acts of war against the Government and the people of the Allied States of Palixia and the Distrubuted teritorries of Kevistis and Palixian Reform : Therefore be it Resolved by the Senate and House of Elected of the Allied States of Palixia and the Distrubuted teritorries of Kevistis and Palixian Reform in Parliament assembled, That the state of war between the Allied States of Palixia and the Distrubuted teritorries of Kevistis and Palixian Reform and the Dictatorship of the Roman Republic which has thus been thrust upon the Allied States of Palixia and the Distrubuted teritorries of Kevistis and Palixian Reform is hereby formally declared; and the Prime Minister is hereby authorized and directed to employ the entire naval and military forces of the Allied States of Palixia and the Distrubuted teritorries of Kevistis and Palixian Reform and the resources of the Government to carry on war against the Dictatorship of the Roman Republic; and, to bring the conflict to a successful termination, all of the resources of the country are hereby pledged by the Parliament of the Allied States of Palixia and the Distrubuted teritorries of Kevistis and Palixian Reform . Also all members of the Homestarmy are against you and I can hope to get all of the organizations I am in to help.
The Reasons the War have started are due to the sighting of troops in the forests of Palixia and the spotting of a ship of our shores.

IC:

The SSN Seawolf was hit by unknown Anti-sub weapon. The sailors pressure locked the room that were taking in water. It was too late, the Seawolf exploded because the unknown weapon trigger an explosion in the ammuniton room.

In the Navy Department, Pentagon, Rome...

The Staff couldn't make contact with the Seawolf. The staff had a bad feeling. The infomation went up the chain of command and finally reached the Supreme Dictator.

The Dictator just sat there, saying nothing. Now he had to take action or let the SHADOWNET destroy the Country from inside the country.

A few Army regiments, Air Force Wings, and Navy were on standby incase the enemy attacks the country.

Now unknown what the enemies plans are. The Military waits for the enemy to strike.

OOC: I'm pretty bad at making maps cuz AutoREALM is confusing... It's got like about a 150 mile coastline and about 7 islands of it's sure. The capital city is inland and it's biggest city on the coast is Brinxton... It has about 16 million people in that city. The Capital called Clamptown has about 37million people... can we have a map of your country???

General: We could send our own spys to put a recorder in the R.R.'s war room.

Strummer: Brilliant!!!! Send some spies over and try to make them look like regualar old Romans, give em a fake I.D.... by the way hows the Homestar Wall doing....

4 Star General Craig L. Theod, recently declared Mnister of the Marines after the orders were for the army to be defunked, stood around a group of monitors that showed news reports from all over the world. He was staring and listening though to the reports of the war declared against Roman Republic. He started thinking to himself, I hope these fucktards in Palixia do try and attack Roman Republic. I want to test out the full capability of the Marines by pushing them back and then stomping on their face in their home nation. He turns toward A Captain and gives orders.

Theod: "I want a full report of the Nation of Palixia's national rediness on my desk tomarrow morning. I want government statistics, how many military personell they have, when their leaders dog pisses, EVERYTHING!"

You can't possibly have that many people in your military. Nor can you have that much equipment even if you are a dictatorship. Work on your stats before going off to war. Also RR: I'll join.

Normally your military is about 5% of your national population if your population is less than 1 Billion. I'm going to be running mine at around 2%.

It's a complete godmod for any nation, even february 03, to run 20 million men [even if that is logistics also], 100,000 aircraft [utter godmod] 1000 carriers, that is physically IMPOSSIBLE, 2000 destroyers [not really that bad] 1000 cruisers, is also pretty damn hard to claim. 4000 submarines is a complete godmod. the transports are okay i suppose. 20,000 tanks.. is barely managable but with all the stuff you have beforehand is basically impossible even if the numbers are rough. Don't even bother arguing - I would estimate 90% of the II community would agree that this is a clear godmod. if you'd like some numbers I can rough up for you i can TG them you if your not so arrogant to listen to reason [like most people are]

Now, for Palixia;This is a rough estimate for an Apr 05 nation.
Aircraft;
20 Long range bombers
80 Interceptors/fighters
20 Attack helicopters
Ground Forces;
800 tanks and apc's
45,000 troops
200 guns [artillery size, eg 120mm-155mm]
Navy
10 Destroyers
2 Submarines
1 Aircraft carrier - although instead of a carrier you could probably have a battleship or two instead, but i doubt the combat effectiveness of that force.
Note that compulsory military service DOESNT mean you can have a huge army - it means a fairly large percentage [we're looking at 70-80% if you include women] of your population knows, or knew at one point, basic military training. It also means that mostly by law your government has the right to call these people up to fight. however it does not mean that you can arm them or even supply them.

Now, the homestarmy. From what I see, none of the people in the Homestarmy [minus yourself] have ever posted on II. I may be wrong. I didn't have time to check them all through. However, it may VERY easily be some sort of puppetry rig - i'm not accusing you of anything i'm just stating alot of people won't take to nations with about 1-10 posts coming up and saying they are part of the homestarmy and therefore have huge militaries.

All of that compounded by an airforce bigger than the combined numbers of every aircraft ever build in the history of the world and a 20,000,000 man army (if that active personel or inc support?). Tone it down a lot. Palixia, follow what Hogsweat said, his numbers are reasonable. Also shorten your sig. YOu dont need a sig that takes up an entire page, and the official limit is 8 lines anyway so be prepared to have a mod just come and delete 3/4 of that when they notice it.

EDIT: Shazbotdom 5% is not normal. 5% is what you have if you're an ultra-rich oppressive dictatorship with a paranoid ex-military dictator and an overly rebellious population. If you have a normal military then you have about 1% of your population in it, and that includes its entire manpower, not just the active army like some people claim... 2% - 3% is the kind of percentage that Britain and the US mobolised in WWII for front line duty... not a peace-time standing army of a small nation with few actual rivals.]

I'm currently redoing my armed forces though. I'm going to do Marines, Marine Reserves, Spec Ops, Air Force, Air Force Reserves, Navy (not sure if i will do Post MT Space or keep my MT Navy) and Naval Reserve.

If you want to help me redo my armed forces i would like the help. I just need to figure out a way to disburse my men between the different forces.

Although i do know that i want Spec Ops to be the smallest. 10,000 men at most...

I just said it's a rough estimate. I really do have a military population of 20 million. That's not a godmod. I would like to hear what my military would be like. Hey, I not like you, you may thibk it's a godmod, but I don't think so. This are mostly rough estimates. I would still like to hear your ideas.

I was going to say that. I don't send 20 million men to their doom. That would be the biggest godmod than Hataria sending 21 million men against MassPwage. only less than 10 million men are active, rest are National Guard or Reservists. I could afford the equipment because I have a storefront, sell in the Blackmarket, and also sell drugs. So I could afford it. But if I buy more Naval equipment or aircraft, it will become a godmod.

Astonishing News from the Royal Chambers:
King Krarks personal Speaker impaled the Minister of Finiance during a brief discussion regarding Blood Moon participation in the war, the item used is believed to have been (at one point) the Ministers pet Skooli.
The debate was hastily concluded and the Speaker was fined 25 Squee's for getting blood on the Royal Tablecloth.
It was officialy stated that the nation of Blood Moon would possibly enter the war at some juncture, although on what side has yet to be decided. Further impalements have been postponed because a new Finiance Minister cannot be located.
King Krark stated that he supports the defender in this war, because he feels that this is generaly the default statement which important leader-type folks are expected to make in this sort of situation.
