This is my first attempt at a FT vehicle. that I will use when I turn FT. give your ideas and fixes on it, the first stage is just the preliminary drawings.

History
In the year 2200 the nation of kroblexskij moved towards space travel and left the shores of terra to explore the galaxy, as it occurred, space pirates and unfriendly nations caused much a problem with the explorer’s spacecraft and probes. The F-Fighter MK I AKA Tantsy Babachka (dancing butterfly) was commissioned for the krob 1st expeditionary fleet.
The preliminary designs proved fatal in combat due to the poor manoeuvrability and firepower the MK II was then given contract to Trident Industries fine Aircraft manufacturers since the year 1965 CE. With the change in company came change in designs, the high funded project proved to be its best move ever selling a projected 700,000+ to the military and export to select Nation's fleets.
Major difference between the Mk I and MK ii is the introduction of a shielding device and Ion engines, formally being a uranium extract reactor - the latter a highly reactable against lasers and heated projectiles.
Many clouds of uranium extract have been detected in the galaxy, the only suggestion is that it is where a F-Fighter mk1 once fought and died.

Engine
The irregular trapezium shaped solar panels supply power to micro particle accelerators which propel ionised gasses at a substantial fraction of light speed. These gasses are then expelled from any of the four rear vents to generate thrust. The ion streams can be directed along almost any vector, allowing for the Tantsy's incredible velocity and manoeuvrability. The twin ion engines have few moving parts and require comparably less maintenance than other star fighters.

Weapons
The Primary and standard weapon of the MK II is the Quad laser, similar to that of the Correilian YT-1300 freighter. Other payloads include
X4 photon missiles and x2 light laser guns.
X1 medium ion cannon.
X1 light EMP weapon / emitter
X2 Las-gattling = Laser gattling gun of 5 barrels for high speed shooting against light craft and men.

The design of the Quad pulse cannon is unique; it has a magazine of about 20 shots, which is dispensed of when empty, after that a new magazine is loaded by the magazine belt. There are about 75 magazines in the drum and belt. Each magazine is filled with high density negatively charged metals, the negatively charged particles are fired towards the enemy craft, they are attracted towards the positively charged particles in the craft, and then neutralise them to desired effect causing. The negatively charged particles are depleted after about 20 shots, the entire volume of them in one magazine being about 600 cm3.
When fired from the craft, radiation mixes with the negatively charged particles causing the aurora borealis effect making a multi coloured glow emit from the shots, mainly being green although sometimes blue or invisible to the naked human eye.

Crew
The crews of a F-fighter are Krobs super soldiers Cloned from the flying ace Minksy Dredori' of the year 2589. He downed over 100 enemy aircraft and 3 corvettes in his naval air force career. Becoming Kroblexskij's highest decorated Pilot he was cloned so that he may fight on for communism in the future. After a five year training program involving flying in charted space, planets and combat Sims the pilots are allowed to join the ranks of the Fleet defence force, from which they may be promoted to the highest of Fleet Naval Commander.
All crew carry the Fleet designation, squad, country, name, occupation and soviet emblem. (crew BDU coming later)

Variants
Variants of the F-Fighter include
F-rc = F-fighter with upgraded comms and radar for recon missions.
F-fc = F-fighter with upgraded fire control and targeting system for long-range bombardments and Anti-bomber defence.
F-gt = F-Fighter with ground attack weapons, includes the photon missiles set and Las-Gattling gun.

New generation
Even now with the new designs there are still a few errors, they will be ironed out with the introduction of type D,T,O,R,A,N Fighters.

I think its a good design for what it is... but you may want to look over the dimentions a little, lengthen it a little maybe. I would think that if you are just going FT, your ships would have to be farly large to accommodate for all the equipment needed. You may also want to look at armor, judging from the picture, an expossed magazine could be really troublesome if it gets hit by enemy weapons fire.

this is only a fighter not a transport ship or war vessel, the exposed magazine is there to give the enemies a chance against it otherwise it might be labled a godmod. the dimensions need to be sorted out but if you remeber the TIE fighter is very small and this is basically one.

We understand that it is a Fighter and not a full scale warship. And its great that you do not want to be a godmodder, so many people dont seem to care about that sometimes in their designs. But on the other hand perposly haveing a flaw or weak spot in a design just to make a it not a godmod isnt neccessary. The biggest godmod is to claim that you have not taken damage that is true, but all you have to do is say that your ships are being taken out and destroyed. Tie fighters do not really have major flaws other then the massive air foils that i think makes it easier to hit. But these are just our oppion. RP it as you wish.
