THL successfuly tested it's first ever Nuclear arm today at 11'o clock AM. The yeild was approx 80 kilitons, but THL said these smaller weapons would only be a taste of what was to come. The Goverment has ordered the mass production of Nuclear arms through out the nation.

Though not clear in it's goals, the Goverment stated it aims for a total of over 400,000 Nuclear Arms by the end of 50 years, over half of these would be ICBMS, the others would be smaller arms that could be delivered covertly.

The Democratic Colonies congratulates the Queendom of THL on its most recent success. Nuclear arms, while dangerous when placed in the wrong hands, can serve to further the causes of world peace and liberation when maintained by the responsible free nations of the world.

While the Democratic Colonies is in no way critical of THL's ongoing nuclear program, we would like to remind the Queendom of the environmental damages that can result from nuclear testing. In an effort to limit the environment impact of THL's nuclear testing, the Colonial Government offers THL the use of the remote Arksdale Colonial Munitions Range for any further nuclear testing by the Queendom. This allows the Queendom of THL, a valuable ally of the Democratic Colonies, to continue testing nuclear munitions as the need arises, and should also serve to help limit both the extent and the spread of harmful after-effects from the testing.

After recieving word of threats made towards their Protectorate, The Queendom of Tree Hugging Lesbians, the order was given to increase Noitan Teppup military readiness and to increase the protection currently being provided by the Carrier Battle Group Ten'hal and the Hunter Military Base (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8358634&postcount=42) stationed on THL soil.

Additional forces would now be mobilised to be sent to the Queendom to assure Noitan Teppup's protectorate and strong economic interest would not be harmed by warmongering nations, there wouldn't be too much significant action taking place in the Noitan Teppup military ranks as it wasn't like an entire army was being sent... at the most an additional devision had been mobilised with the intention to travel to THB.

We have a small demonstration of engineering set for the fifteenth of next month. It would be simple enough to divert some of those resources to assisting the Queendom, whose merchants have traded honestly with ours, in demonstrating that a long reach does not make for a firm grasp.
In short, we stand with these other nations in telling you that unless you can produce a lawful treaty with the Queendom that forbids them from developing whatever means of self-defense they wish, you should mind your own store, and leave others to mind theirs.

After re-evaluating the threats made towards our protectorate the Queendom of Tree Hugging Lesbians, we have come to the conclusion that we were falsely alarmed and will now stand down our reinforcements who were set to leave for our military base on THL soil.

However, in the interest of improved strategic defence we will keep our offer open to the Queendom for their concideration as we feel they would be much better protected with Noitan Teppup nuclear assets as well as well equipped by the Incorporated States. It is our hope that we can learn from this false alarm and better increase our responce time in the future... we will be keeping our assets already stationed in THL on alert just in case, though it is clear that whatever threat we thought existed was actually little more then a practical joke gone way too far.

Thanks for various nations support in this matter, we will keep alert for the next couple of days just to make sure, but we are fairly certain that without any new developements this situation is over.

As a staunch non-user of WMD's in role plays, I feel that I must advise you that any Weapon of Mass Destruction (Usually limited to Nukes, but can be branched into other WMD's if any part of the development, delivery, or so forth has been under roleplayed. This exception can also go the other way in which I will recognize the use of WMD's, but this is only in very rare occasions) can and will be ignored by me.

Also, any use of any WMD's you may posses in any future role play in which we both are participants in will result in the immediate ignoring of the attack.

This is nothing personal, I just think WMD's are a waste of space in the world of role play, and unless they are role played correctly, I will always ignore them.

Sephiroph, you must consider your own actions. So far you're coming across as immature and extremely hostile. How about persuing diplomatic channels first, especially an enquiry into what exactly THL will beusing the Nuclear weapons for, instead of sparking off conflict.

Have patience, and be diplomatic, invasion and war should be a last resort. Else we will all perish.

Defence Minister Sokai Otetsu leafed through the morning's intelligence reports. One in particular caught his eye, and he pulled it out from the pile and began to read through it. Murmuring to himself, he pressed a buzzer on his desk, and his aide-de-camp stepped through the door.
"You called, Minister?"
"I did indeed, Jan. Contact High Marshal Swiftblade and the Foreign Minister, ask them to stop by, will you?"
"At once, sir." Jan saluted sharply and left the office.

Several hours later, the brother and sister who held the offices of High Marshal and Foreign Minister respectively were seated in Sokai's office, reading through copies of the intelligence report. High Marshal Rimm Swiftblade nodded and looked up "So THL have developed nuclear capabilities? Worrying, maybe, but certainly no concern of ours. Do we have any diplomatic status with them whatsoever?" He looked to his sister. Sapphire shook her head "Nothing, really. Certainly no major diplomatic contact, passive or aggressiveor otherwise. By all accounts they seem a fairly....honourable nation, unlike some of our other neighbours."

Sokai nodded "But it's yet another country with nuclear capabilities. Any such developments will need to be...observed. I don't like the idea of weapons of mass destruction, and refuse to sanction them for use by our forces. However, I also refuse to be swayed by some upstart waving a bomb around, should that ever come to pass. I suggest we contact THL with our congratulations. Then you can also attempt to open some kind of diplomatic channel with them, Sapphire. Maybe even seek alliances." The other two nodded, and began to draft a message to send to THL

Atomic science is, however, excessively detrimental to our environment, and the People's Republic would like to know to what end these weapons will be used for? if they are to be a deterrent, are they truly advisable- "You annihalate us, we annihalate you?"

The First Council of the People's Republic of Karullia hereby urges you, if you plan to continue this weapons programme, to use the technology responsibly if it has to be used at all. Despite our strongly anti-nuclear stance, we accept some countries feel it necessary to develop these weapons. The Novikovskie Federastii Sili (Novikovian Federal Forces) is currently faced with a dilemma whose solution, we feel, would be mutually beneficial to both the people of Tree Hugging Lesbians and the NFS.

Currently the Novikovskie Raketnyye Voyska Strategicheskogo (Novikovian Strategic Missile Force) is undergoing preparations for the test launch of the newly designed Glushko-1 Medium-Range Ballistic Missile. While not effective at distances beyond 3,000 km, this missile is of a relatively simple design and should provide a strong staging point for T.H.L.’s own missile program. Provided the test launch goes properly, we would be willing to trade the entire design of the Glushko-1 Missile and Re-entry Vehicle to T.H.L.’s Government in return for the sale of Uranium-enrichment centrifuges and base designs for a low-yield (2-6 kiloton) nuclear device.

If an agreement for the exchange of these technologies is deemed beneficial to the people of T.H.L., please contact either the Novikovian Government or the NFS Command through normal diplomatic channels.

Wonderful. We will require some two-hundred centrifuges delivered and installed in one of a handful of factories nearby our only Uranium mine - foreign advisors would be heplful in this process. Any level of foreign design help would also be appreciated once basic designs for a nuclear device are turned over to the NRVS Design Bureau. In feturn, we will finalize the deal by sending design plans for the Glushko-1 to the T.H.L. Military and additionally permitting members of the T.H.L. Military Command to view the test-launch of our first Glushko-1 Missile (Three-Stage) - projected for some time within the next month. If it is possible, we would like to delay the launch as long as possible and test both the missile itself, it's SRV delivery device, and our first nuclear device all in one large-scale trial (with foreign aid, this should be an attainable goal within the month.)
