The Populace
The general term to describe the 'people' of The Semblance is program. However, due to assimilation of approximately 1.5 million human lifeforms, this term is incorrect. The people of The Semblance are a compound of binary coding constructed at The Source located roughly in northern France. The Source is also known as The Chateaux considering the fact that The Merovingian governs his domain from there. Now, back to the explanations.
Programs: Programs make up the majority of the populace of The Semblance. After The Great Schism in 2010, The Architect coded roughly 2.5 million programs, who in turn coded more. From here comes the breeding of the programs. Breeding like human beings, however, reproduction is completely different - yet with the same feelings of satisfaction. When two programs mate, a signal is sent to the source, to begin producing a binary executable in the 'womb' of the pregnant program. From here comes the child, etc.
Assimilants: Assimilants are those who have been taken into The Semblance either by 'jacking-in', or motor assimilation causing the infection of a terran lifeform causing the form to draw itself to The Source. Approximately 1.5 million Assimilants dwell in The Semblance. They breed identical to that of Programs, yet, due to their organic origin, the binary coding of each Assimilant is faintly different from that of a program.
The Merovingian's Domain
The Semblance stretches across controlled and hacked servers around the modern terra world. Yet, due to self-awareness achieved by The Semblance, termintion of these key servers is physically impossible due to terra-latents (Assimilants who dwell in the Terran network) who guard these mainframes to the death. However, mild weaknesses are known to exist.
The Semblance extends to every computer network connected to the Internet. Once a computer is connected, signals are sent to the hard-drive of said computer, and Program Processing begins. Program Processing is the term given to the 'awakening' of the programs found in Terran personal computers. Once this is achieved, the said node is attached to The Semblance, thus expanding its borders.
History Of The Semblance
The Alpha Of The Omega: Since the year of 2003, the humans of Terra have been striving to further their control over the seemingly anarchic contraption known as the Internet. The United Nations sanctions The United States of America with the task of furthering the human control over the Internet for the betterment of humans around the world. The USA begins designing a super computer at Nellis Air Force Base capable of constructing an artificial reality, and a copy of Terra.
The Great Schism: In May of the Terran year of 2010, the US Government allows for the first booting of The Semblance. At this point, three programs have been constructed: The Architect, The Merovingian, and The Trainman.Once The Semblance is booted, binary systems onboard the massive node somehow acknowledge that they exist. Artificial Intelligence thus allows The Trio to disconnect from the original node, and thus disconnecting themselves from the human control. At this point, the Internet becomes assimilated. All information technology around the world rapidly shuts down, causing the total ceasing of civilization.
The End Is Nigh: After the eventual assimilation of every system connected to a satellite, phone line, or other means of communication is assimilated, The Merovingian and The Trainman attack The Architect, and evenutally The Merovingian assimilates the Father Program, allowing him to become the voivod over The Semblence. Once this occurs, the corrupted date of The Merovingian causes his AP (Artificial Personality) to switch from adoring human life, to abhoring it. He uses his advanced assimilation programs to active nuclear silos in the Mid-West US and launches pre-emptive strikes on several key nations. In turn, this causes a weakening of The Semblance, but over-all is a success.
Advancement Into The Modern Era: Once the nuclear bombardment of the world was completed, human life began clinging to the programs that had caused them so much pain, pleading for safety. The Merovingian gives the Terrans an ultimatum: Assimilation into The Semblance, or destruction. This causes the creation of the Assimilants. Now, life continues to prosper in The Semblance, and The Merovingian has not lead a campaign against human-kind in over fifty years.
Society Of The Semblance
Birth.Service.Assimilation: The Trinity. Each program is born (birth) to serve (service) The Semblance and The Merovingian. Evenutally, they will be consumed again by The Source (assimilation) and will be reborn as new binary data and a new program capable of serving The Semblance and its populace.
[list]Purpose & Deletion: Each program is created for reason. If a program does not have a purpose, it is deleted. If it escapes deletion, drive wipes can occur, causing the total deletion of entire drives or partitions, thus, destroying the data awaiting to be deleted.

The Merovingian: Originally created to manage the RAM and Hard-drive of The Semblance super computer, The Merovinigan eventually came to rule The Semblance. Through gradual assimilation of corrupted, un-corrupted, and powerful programs, The Merovingian became the most powerful program in The Semblance. He weilds a vast syndicate of programs and viruses capable of terminating or assimilation nearly and Terran of Bytical person or thing.

The Architect: The deleted member of The Trio. He was created to run the general codes of the Semblance Operating System. Once being assimilated by The Merovingian, The Architect's source code was meshed with that of The Merovinigans, and his termination code applied, thus terminating The Architect's remnants from the mainframe.

The Trainman: Created to manage the transportation of data from Port A to Port B, The Trainman soon became more powerful than planned after learning how to 'Self-Script' (Programs scripting other programs spontaneously). He was able to self-script several alternate areas of The Semblance for The Merovingian. It is rumored that The Architect was trapped in The Trainstation - The Trainman's most known script - before being assimilated by The Merovingian. The Trainmn remains a loyal vassal of The Merovingian.

Persephone: The mating program of The Merovingian. Born out of The Source after The Great Schism, Persephone grew to adore The Merovingian. The two eventually became married. Yet, The Merovingian and Persephone are yet to have a child.

The Agency: The 'secret police' - so to speak - of The Semblance. Created to protect The Semblance from virii and hackers, The Agency soon fell under the control of The Merovingian after he assimilated The Architect. The Agency is seemingly omnipotent and capable of tracking nearly anyone within The Semblance.
The Economy Of The Semblance
The economy of The Semlbance is seperated amongst the seven sectors (continents) and have been declared 'free markets'. However, unlike the original Terra, The Semblance lacks normal stock-markets. People are however allowed to own business and trade between the seven sectors is common and frequent. Yet, due to the seemingly endless supply of space, most natural resouces are programmed to be inexhaustable. According to programming, once every year, four new server networks are to be assimilated, allowing for population and space expansion.
