A History of Blood and Honor

The sun was setting over the chaotic battlefield. Corpses littered the entire area, while a dozen warriors still battled. They wore assorted armor and wielded a wide array of weapons, but they all wore either black and red, or blue and white.

Another scream echoed out over the clash of weapons as another warrior fell to his opponent. His opponent let out a triumphant battle cry, but was cut short as a single remaining archer put an arrow through his open mouth. The tip stuck from the top of his head, and the warrior fell to the ground, a pool of blood forming from his mouth.

The archer clutched the wound he had suffered several minutes earlier. A dagger handle still protruded from his side. He knew that the blow was not fatal if he got it looked at, but it was seriously affecting his abilities to fight. The red stained the white and blue cloth hanging in shreds from his belt. He gritted his teeth and fitted another arrow. He took aim and fired.

The largest man on the battlefield was facing off against an oddity of the day. A single woman wielding a short sword had been fighting and outmaneuvering him and his battle axe for nearly 10 minutes now. He swung again, but she avoided and slashed him in the side. He had recieved dozens of such wounds, and was beginning to slow.

He lifted his battle axe over his head, but kicked out his foot, catching her in the chest, throwing her to the ground. He roared as he swung his axe in for the kill. He closed his eyes and heard the thud of his axe's impact. He opened his eyes, but was surprised at what he saw. An arrow was sticking from the axe head, which was now buried in the ground to the woman's right. She took this oppurtunity to lunge forward and deal a killing blow. The blade slid in through his eye and out the back of his head. He stumbled before falling forward, catching the woman underneath him. She shrugged him off and tried to remove the blade. The blade caught and refused to move. She tugged once more before leaving it.

She picked up another sword from the open hand of a corpse, her recently deceased captain. She looked around the battle field and saw that there were only three people left, her being one of them. There was the archer on the hill and the red and black berserker running at her, spear leveled. She didn't have time to dodge, and the spear took her in the leg as the berserker tripped over a corpse. The cried out, and the berserker let go of the spear.

The berserker looked at her with bloodshot eyes. He had several arrows sticking from his back, as the archer fired more and more. He ripped a longsword from the hands of a corpse before moving in for a kill. He raised the sword in one hand, but an arrow thudded into it, pinning the hand to the hilt. He shot his enraged glance at the archer, but looked back quickly as he heard a scream.

The woman was screaming as she swung the blade towards his neck. He tried to block with his sword, but her blade was too fast and cleaved through his wrist, on a clear path for his neck. He spasmed, and the blade found it's mark, be it a little off. The blade dug up through his jaw, proceeding halfway through his head before stopping.

The woman watched the blood fade from the berserkers eyes as he died. She then felt a blackness surround her as she passed out.

(OOC: Yet again, not an RP. This is a bit of a historical thread. I'm going through graduation from high-school in a few days, so the next post might be a little delayed. It will be a good read though. Stay tuned.)
