TyH-99 Cardinal Ligered Multiple Mission Superiority Aircraft
[Pronoused "Tigh Ninty Nine"]
X-99 Cardinal Prepairing for Carrier Launch Trial (http://www.news.navy.mil/management/photodb/photos/040618-N-6817C-098.jpg)
Note: Illustration shows pilot, which only in testing trials on carrier duties did it have a pilot, then it was tested as a Liger.
The Cardinal has been designed as part of a competition trial between eight powerful and respected companies, of which, most allied with other companies, and two even went bankrupt, attempting to win the sublime prize of 36 billion dollars for meeting the "Perfect Requirements" for the Last Generation Multiple Mission Superiority Aircraft, which, on a side twist as an added in requirement, would be Ligered, or guided by a newly designned Liger Drone Controlling System, that was the third and final requirement for the prize.
The Cardinal has many advanced features such as a more effective Pulse Cannon Thrust Modification System, a single gel-propelled turbofan that is capable of the highest thrusts possible from a tungsten-casium-lithium alloy which is found to be one of the most heat resistant and capacitic metals found today, and as wonderous as this is, still holds the Aoure's signature design of having odd-shaped frames and wings and an "out of the box" approach to many styles of equippment which give it the unique feature of being called an Aouren.

Pulse Cannon Thrust Modification System: Also called Augmentation, the Pulse Cannon is the most reactive and dangerous of any T.M.S., which allows for a boost in speed for about 30-120 seconds. Simular to Nitriss in a car or Afterburnners with a radical spin, it uses an alternative fuel line and tank which is inclosed in case of flame-penitration and explosion. Very dangerous, yet powerful. Also dangerous on fuselage and epinage frame, coudl cause stresses and heat damage beyond that of repair.
Augmentation: See Pulse Cannon Thrust Modification System.
Tungsten Cathium: Metalloid which in pure form is chemically bonded tungsten with four casium1-lithium7 4*[Cs-1+Li-7]. Has an extremely high and classified heat capacity and melting point, said to be one of the highest points in current-day materials. Also weights as much (slightly more) than titanium-tungsten metals commonly used in engines.
Pounds of Thrust: Amount of force the thrust (exhust) gives if you were to place a weight scale behind it. Typical thrust weights range from single-engined supersonics in 30,000-40,000 to multi-engined supersonics of 20,000-30,000 each.
Ceiling: The highest altitude at which the engine will operate effectively. Usually engines can go a few hundred feet higher than ceiling before a "burn out," or when the engine stops operating or becomes useless.
Engine: Kiy-FUNNI Type-6R12A3 "Sublime Thruster" Turbofan
Propulsion: Gel-based Propellant (Raptior-A for Non-Augmentation and Raptior-AX for Augmentation)
Rating: 67,000lb of thrust Augmentated (50,000lb of thrust Non-Augmentated)
Ceiling: 56,000ft
Heat Resistance/Sound: Exhusts are Slitted and Foam-Capacitized Along Finishing Edges
Secondary Statistics
The Aoure is known for hvaing above-fuselage engine intakes to allow for their "Ubertatic" formations which have them flying at some 5ft above the waves on coastal and ocean missions and missions at which computers litterally control the entire thing that has them flying just above the ground to where their engines' exhust could blow an infantryman down, if not severly burnned. This is just to show how resourceful and skilled, not to mention crazy, the Aourens are. Expecially since they take a course that is some 3 years long to just fly their birds, and then two more years of extensive trainning before they can even get patrol-line experiance. The Aoure had always been state-of-the-art, even after the Cold War when its ally, Italy, was still trying to recover, and its other ally, Mexico, started to go down hill. It still is one of the most advanced air forces in the world, and so much, it has earned its name, Aoure, which means Tatical.
Ailerons: Flap-like objects located behind (or sometimes infront) of wings which bank (or turn) the aircraft.
Stabilizers: Comming in both Vertical (Upwards) and Horizontal (Straight Across) types, Stabilizers commonly allow for rudder movement (turnning while level) and pitch (moving nose up and down).
Exhust Slitting: When exhust pipes are not round or squarish as many designs are, but more of a retangle. Reduces heat from exhust because hot air mixes faster with the cooler air and also allows, if ACTIVE, to control some parts of manuverability.
ACTIVE: Exhusts, commonly Slitted ones, which move up or down (and in some smaller exhusts, side to side) for added control, manuvering, and even acceleration while in a high-end climb or bank, which usually speed would be lost. Tracers also refer to constant movement of the pipes, which causes more heat to be transfered into the cold air faster.
RADAR Stealth: Unique RAM and Cross-Section Combination allowing for better than F-117 Reviews
Infrared Stealth: Exhust Slitting and common ACTIVE Tracers
Sound Stealth: Exhust Hairs which distrut sound and make a unique "zip-sch" sound
Visual Stealth: Has a paint color which, by temperture, turns from jet black (hot) to dead-white (cold).
Length: 46ft 3in (14.1m)
Wingspan: 27ft 7in (8.4m)
Height: 14ft 9in (4.5m)
Manuverability: Four Slitted Exhust Pipes. Middle two control pitch/stability & side two control roll/yaw
Ordanance Statistics
Ordanance in the Aoure has always been straight-through. Accuracy, Speed, and Size. The damage it gives is useless if it can't get there before the enemy can do anything or even use countermeasures agenst it. Although some new technologies like the Cloud Warhead and Blast-Containned EMF Warhead have been proven great, the old-fasioned flak and burst-shard warheads are still used. But what has changed is that the Cardinal does not have internal weapons stores in its wings, which the Aoure is famous for doing. Because the smller missiles were getting too expencive for their deal-out and poor guidance, the program has been scrapped, for a better version of the AIM-54's counter, TALM-50C. The TALM-99 is about the same size as the AIM-54, and all pylons and such are made to hold a TALM-99. All measures are in TALM-99 figurations, and unless noted otherwise, will for all.
Also, the Ordanance of the Aoure has not changed to a degree. It still uses the back-tank feeding rod instead of a side-tank feeding rod like other internal missile-holding fighters, and also has the Aoure's famous two-gun system which one is in the front and one is in the back, allowing for ultimate dogfighting protection. Both guns are non-fixed and can be moved on a swivle, and both are internally stored until deployed.
Swivled Gun: A gun which is on a non-fixed rod that allows for the pilot(s) to control where the barrel points within a 30 degree diameter, so the pilot does not need to strain to "line-up" the shot.
Fulcan Gun: The gun located in the front, usually right infront of the cockpit or where the cockpit is in Ligered aircraft which is the highest caliber on the craft and also has a high rate of fire and range.
Rulvan Gun: The gun located in the rear, usually inbetween exhust pipes (all Aoure aircraft have more than one exhust pipe for control capabilities), which is smaller than the Fulcan Gun and has a shorter range, but can be used agenst hostilies attempting to line-up for shots of their own or to put fear into enemies that their own guns are useless.
Wulcan Gun: The gun(s) located below the nose which is fixed but has a 25 degree horizontal swivle which can be used to attack under-sight hostilies or ground implacements. Has the least amount of munitions and is the smaller of calibers (but given thicker armor-piercing capabilities over the other two). The Cardinal is the first to use a Wulcan Gun.
Xerocraft: An escape system standerd on all Aoure aircraft which deploys the majority of the front nose, that includes pilots (or Liger System) and sensory/equippment. Usually has a weak and on-reactive turbofan below and uses the Fulcan Gun as its only arm of defence, which some have a hardpoint that holds a very small Ar-1 Flamer 20lb warheaded missile.
Primary Gun: 32mm Fulcan 140 degree Diameter Swivel
Secondary Gun: 24mm Rulcan 123 degree Diameter Swivel
Strategic Gun: 18mm Wulcan 25 degree Horizontal Swivel
Hardpoints: 6 (Two per wing and Four Under-Fuselage)
Hardpoint Capacity Each: 9,870lb Maximum Lockage, 2 TALM-99 or 4 AIM-7C
Hardpoint Restriction: Only Wing-mounts can hold multiple arms unless 125lb bomb, then 4 per hardpoint
Internal Launch-Ready: Two per Side
Internal Hardpoints (Sets): Four Each
Internal Sets: Four
Total Internal Stores: 12
Total External Stores: TAA[6] IAM[12] DAG[24]
Xerocraft Speed: 56 knots
Xerocraft Stall Speed: 34 knots
Xerocraft Range: 34nm
Xerocraft Hardpoint(s): 1 Ar-1 Mount
Production Cost: $1,340,000,000 USD (50 or more "Bulk")
Production Cost: $1,870,000,000 USD (49 or less "Single")
Yearly Upkeep: $56,700 USD (Reserve, Flight < 450 hours)
Yearly Upkeep: $908,000 USD (Patrol, Flight < 2,000 hours)
Yearly Upkeep: $1,230,000 USD (War, Flight < 5,670 hours)
OOC:
Any comments or problems, shoot. I am aware that there are some technical difficulties, expecially because I would like this in the 2010-2012 time frame, being droned (or Ligered, as I refer to it as), and all that. Just plainly set, any comments? And I know the picture is over used, so I am working on rendering my own to closer to what I have imagened it to be.
