Scientists at FGI Laboratories have found a way to mass produce high quality diamonds. Previous to this breakthrough, Japanese Antarctarctica was forced to import most of it's diamonds (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8532726&postcount=107). The high quality, 10-20 carat diamonds are made from a chemical vapor deposition process. This enables the labs to grow diamonds at a much faster rate than other methods that produce artificial diamonds.

Not only will the diamond fashion industry be affected, but the industrial applications for diamonds will increase. Japanese Antarctican Companies alone spend over $3 Billion per year to acquire diamonds for various optical uses. There are already plans to use diamond based optics in military hardware...

OOC: I hope you've realized that as the amount of diamonds goes up, the price and value goes down.

OOC: I know this. That's exactly why this is a great thing. Now diamonds can be used in other military-industrial applications, rather than just an expensive gift on your girlfriend's finger.

Diamonds could be adapted to use on MBT armor. Could I buy rights to your method? I'll pay up to $500 billion on it. Thank You.

Such an offer intrigues the higher ups in the Nissian government. Although the rights to such a technique would be great, the government council has determined that there is not enough room currently within the Weapons Development Facilities to have enough production to fulfill the governments needs, so we request if the Japanese Antarctica would accept a deal of producing diamonds to the Nissian specifications. If you are interested in such a deal, telegram the Nissin government and we can create a better deal.
