That's right, the long-serving StG 88 is to be replaced by the new, improved bullpup rifle from VA, the StG 05!

The Sturmgewehr 2005
Development began on the 05 back in early 2004, when VA decided to improve upon their current rifle. A few initial setbacks encountered in the Model 1 were soon improved upon, and after some modification, the Model 2 was accepted for production. The Verghastinselheer has already begun testing of the rifle, with optimistic reports.
The StG 05 fires the 'NATO-standard' 5.56x45mm cartridge, at a velocity of around 1,012 m/s. It's magazine holds 30 rounds.
OOC: I hope you like the picture, I made it myself in paint, pixel by pixel. I have drawn numerous small arms produced by VA, all of which are based on rl weapons. The StG 05 is a chopped-up version of my original drawing of the StG 88, itself based upon the swiss SIG 550 rifle. I've also made a LMG, also based upon the StG 88 drawing, VA's KS12; a self-loading shotgun, and a submachinegun for non-combat personnel, based on the Ruger MP9. I'd be more than happy to do a picture for someone else, as it relieves the mindless tedium of my everyday life.
