In the early hours of the morning people started walking through the streets of Batreen, the Capitol of Beaten Souls. The pedestrians caused massive congestion problems on the central city streets that were already packed with cars of people trying to get around the city for the Emperors day celebrations.

At approximately 9am people started arriving in the Emperors Community Lawn in front of the Beaten Souls Palace.
As left wing activists started arriving on the lawn, to protest the capitalist stance of the government they were met by the emperors Special Forces and Police.

As the numbers grew the army was also called in to make sure that nothing got out of hand. Finally just before 1pm approximately 1.2 million people crowded the 5-hectare area of grass. At 1:05pm a man walked up onto a makeshift stage that had been erected by the protesters on the lawn. He went up to the microphone, turned to the gatherers and said "Testing, testing. Can everyone at the back hear me? Good.

"Greetings Friends, Colleges and Sympathisers. My name Jet Dianco and I would like to welcome all of you hear on this fine autumn afternoon. As you know we are here to try and educate the government on the shortcomings of this right wing capitalist regime, and promote the better system of socialism starting with social welfare.

"How many people here either are, or have friends who are unemployed and cant find a job?"

To this the crowd erupted as many people expressed discontent at their unemployment or their friend's unemployment.
"How many of you without jobs cant find enough money to live in a house? How many of you cant find enough money to eat every day? HOW MANY OF YOU CANT EVEN FIND ENOUGH MONEY TO SEND YOUR KIDS TO SCHOOL!!??

To this the crowd went wild as people understood the problems facing the lower socioeconomic groups of the community.
"The attitude of this government is appalling. "Why should we support people who wont support themselves" is what our emperor Matrig said in an interview last week."

To this statement the crowd broke into a chorus of boos and anger with some people throwing objects at the picture of Matrig in front of the palace on the lawn grounds.

"What I ask is, How the hell are we supposed to earn money to support ourselves when there aren't any jobs available?
"If our Government gave us some support for once, instead of asking us to always support it, then maybe we could get more jobs, or even set up our own business. Our taxes pay their wages, so it's about time they gave some of OUR money BACK"
The crowd applauded this statement and yelled out in support of Jet's statements.

"How much work have you seen our Emperor do for his millions? How much does he get paid for doing nothing? And then he has the guts to come out and tell us that we don't deserve any help because we don't bloody work. I would prefer working to starving any day, so how bout it folks, lets demand some compensation. DO YOU WANT SOME HELP TO GET ON YOUR FEET?"
The crowd screamed "YES!!"
"DOES BEATEN SOULS NEED AN UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT?"
The crowd screamed "YES!!"

Then the protest leaders started the standard rhythm protest chant with megaphones shouting "What do we want?" To which the crowd replied "Unemployment Benefits." The megaphones screamed "And when do we want it." The Crowd replied with "NOW!"
"What do we want?"
"Unemployment Benefits."
"And when do we want it."
"NOW!"

When the Crowd was almost fully excited the covers over the stage burst open and 50 men kitted in full armour riding on white stallions burst out from under the stage. the medieval style horsemen lined up in front of the stage to the roars of the crowd.

Dianco walked back up to the mic and said "Comrades, will you follow me and my soldiers to fight for what's right? Will you come with us to the government and establish your security? Come with me and we will triumph."
Dianco ran to the end of the stage, leapt off onto a horse that was waiting for him and charged off with the other horsemen. The crows followed them running at the front and slowing to a fast walk at the rear.

*knock knock* "Come in." Said Matrig from his leather high-backed chair behind a massive mahogany desk.
The door opened slowly and in walked Jatyl, the head of police. Jatyl's hard ages face looked sombre in the shadows of the presidents office.
"Sir, I regret to inform you that the protest on the Community Lawn seems to be moving towards the palace. What would you like us to do?"
Matrig looked at Jatyl. Picked up a whiskey bottle and refilled his glass before taking a long swig.

"I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to this." Said Matrig. "I want a road block to be set up on every street 1km from the palace. No one, and I mean absolutely no one shall be allowed past this unless the have government clearance you hear."

"Sir" replied Jatyl,"What happens if the protesters try to force their way through?"

"well, If that happens, I want them to be deterred. I don't want to offend our trading partners. But, if they persist, I will approve the use of force to stop them. The defence minister has already moved 2 thousand soldiers into the palace and is briefing them now. We have another 10 thousand that are on standby within 20minutes of the capitol. Use them if you have to. Ready my helicopter incase things get too heated and keep me updated. Good day."
"Yes Sir" replied Jatyl as he slowly backed out of Matrigs office bowing his head.

As the protestors headed towards the palace the came upon the police and military road blocks.

"Let us past." Dianco said.

"Our orders are to refuse entry to any personnel that doesn't have the correct passes." replied the soldier in charge of the checkpoint.

"There are thousands of us an but a mere few of you." replied Dianco. "I would advise you to let us past as it is in your best wishes." Dianco replied as he reached inside his vest. He pulled out his gun and in a instant several shot were heard and Dianco fell to the ground, killed instantly.

"Let that be an answer to you said the soldier, anyone threatening us will be warned and if any weapons are seen will be shot. We have a zero tolerance for public violence here."

Four soldiers walked out from behind the checkpoint, walked up to Dianco. The first soldier checked his pulse to confirm he was dead. When he was satisfied the men picked up Dianco's body and carried him into a tent so that he could be disposed of.

As the mobs began to catch up to the horsemen at the checkpoint everyone wondered what was happening. Confused murmuring could be heard from the crowds and people slowly pushed forwards to try and see what was happening.

The soldier in charge of the check point stood up on a platform and announced to the protestors, "We thank you all for your opinions towards the way this government runs the country. We will treat your opinions with consideration and then announce any changes we will make. If in future you could please write letters with your opinions and we will sort it our from that. Thank you all, have a good day."

At this announcement the crowd started to become disorderly. There was conflict amongst the protestors as many didn't come all this way to be dismissed and there were many who didn't want to cross the army because they had a bad reputation with executing protestors.

A group of about 5 thousand were pushing towards the front and were heading up towards the checkpoint. As they slowly marched forwards the heard "Please stop moving towards the checkpoint. If you continue moving we will take measures to stop your progress. You have 30seconds to cease advancement".

The crowd kept moving forwards and they heard 4 low frequency thumps as smoke grenades were launched in front of the crowd.
The crowd slowly pushed through the smoke and carried their advancements. Another warning was announced but the crowd still advanced. A water cannon was then aimed at the crowd and a short burst was issued, knocking approximately 50 people from their feet
