In a bold move, Emperor Drayakir Darodor of the fledgling Empire of Enroethoen, proposed a trade pact between smaller nations.

*cut in to Channel 1 - EBN:

*The Emperor Drayakir is standing on a podium in front of the harshly geometric Imperial Citadel*


"I believe that by encouraging trade with our neighbors, we can stimulate the growth of every country involved. I do not aim high, but I believe that in the long run this will be mutually beneficial to whoever wants to participate. Furthermore, the more powerful countries might be interested."

*The camera then switches to an audience chamber, with the Director of Finance making a report*

"The Empire will gladly import raw materials, needed for cosntruction. We are willing to export various machinery, and we are accepting contracts on a more militaristic scale."

*switch back to the Emperor*

"Citizens of the Empire! Glorious Children of the Dragon! We must rise up in this world, but no one said we have to be alone! I give this call out to other nations: Join us! Join us, and let us prosper together!"

Ab-shalom and Greetings;

Vastiva is willing to export construction materials of most any grade and quantity you desire.

Our import needs include foodstuffs of all types - particularly cheeses and fruits, wines and liquors, fashions, and rights to publish various literature.

This would include a team of technicians, a small amount of military personnel, and a diplomatic envoy. We will accommodate you with all available luxuries, along with any other groups interested in the treaty"*

"The one to Vastiva says "It would be exceptionally splendid if you could come and visit us here to discuss the terms of the trade treaty. According to Standard Compliance Procedure, you may have a group of technicians, a small amount of military personnel, and a diplomatic envoy. You will be accommodated in the finest way possible, along with any other groups interested in the treaty."*

We are willing to begin trade with your nation. We can send construction materials and anything else you might require, in exchange for food or machinery equipment.

*A telegram is sent to Calpe reading "Your business is greatly appreciated. We offer various construction machienry, equipment, and of course miltary vehicles, ranging from scout vehicles to medium-tanks. And of course, the modified IS-2 is for sale at 500,000 scepters apiece. We are willing to buy 500 megatonnes of steel, 250 thousand barrels of oil. Furthermore, we are willing to sell you atomic resources in the form of processed, and unprocessed uranium. Should you be interested, send ships flying your flag to Port Order, and expect a response immediately."*

The proposed deal is acceptable and we will send in the next days ships to Port Order, loaded with steel and tankers with oil. We prefer construction machinery and equipment in exchange, and civilian vehicles if you are producing. Military vehicles we produce ourselves and we have no need. A pleasure doing business with you.

*zoom to a large barge entering one of the docks at Port Order. The newscaster begins to speak:*

"And so, we have it. Thanks to the genius leadership of Emperor Drayakir, the first barge carrying steel came in from our new ally, Calpe. The steel will be used to build up our power-base, and usher the Empire into an age of glory."

*cut to the interior of some sort of huge factory hall. Commentator begins speaking*

"This is the Port Order Industrial Complex, or POIC. Using revolutionary new technology, we can mass produce almost anything. Right now, we are completing an order for construction vehicles Already, we have made batches of transports vehicles, cranes, bulldozers, etc. All through the industrial might of our nation. The Emperor expressed wishes to build several more of these ICs, including Enroethoen City, and Serenus."

*cut to Emperor making speech in one of the yards in the Port Order industrial index. The camera first zooms out to display a massive rectangular block, with smoke pouring out of several holes and gratings*

"Glorious Children of the Dragon! Already our economy is booming, and as you can see, the fruits of this treaty are coming to be. Already we have overtures with other nations. We will succeed! We will thrive! We will prosper!"

*cut to Imperial Logo, then cut to Imperial Research HQ in the Citadel, with one of the chief scientists, Edgar Septus*

"Yeah, well, ever since the Emperor increased spending money on the military, we've been swamped with requests for new sorts of weapons. Our biologists and physicists cannot be happier, and I'm pleased to announce that the Emperor has already decreed to open a BioTech lab, as well as some sort of physics testing ground. In either case, it would do wisely, though he probably already thought of it, to buy scientific equipment. Not a lot, he hastens to add, but enough for us to do our function."

*cut to commentator, a young-looking man in the studio*

"Well, as you can see, due to the guidance of our Emperor, we are succeeding incredibly. The POIC is working non-stop, the sciences are being pursued, and we have at least three other overtures coming in right now. Truly, the Empire will live and prosper forever, and triumph through technology."

The one to Calbe reads "We have begun construction on your order, and expect the first batch of construction hardware to come in within a month and a half. Let this trade treaty cement our bonds" The one to Neoscelus reads "We would be happy to do business with you. We offer military and construction hardware, and of course processed and unprocessed atomic elements. If you wish, you may work out deals of the transaction over telegram, or you can send in an inspection group, consisting of several technicians, military personnel, and a diplomatic envoy, as detailed in Standard Compliance Procedure." *
