Secret IC:
The national security team looked at the map of the middle east.

Our national security and strategic needs require that we ensure that the Persian Gulf remains open to our own and to our allies' shipping. The only way to do this is to be able to have total control of the Persian Gulf.

We allied with Vineyard so the entrance through the Straight of Hormuz is secure. But the governments of the UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain remain unstable.
We also know that passage through the Suez is secured now that we are allied with the Rebeled Elves government.
The governments operating in the 3 Arabias, have been acting pretty hostile lately. Harassing civilians shipping, stopping ships and abducting their crews for slavery, seizing goods from commercial ships.
It is very surprising that Vineyard hasn't moved yet. That's probably because the Vineyardians have most of their forces north attacking Russia through the Caucasus Mountain territories. That leaves us as the only regional power that can do something about the piracy and abductions.
We also know they are getting help from the Sudanese.

The Minister of Foriegn Affairs spoke up, "perhaps we can ask the Proccons to do something about Eritrea?"

The Intell Minister continued, "We have no relations with Procco. However we do have relations with Rebeled Elves. What I propose is that we launch a punitive expedition against the 3 Gulf states and ask Rebeled Elves to take care of the Sudan factor in return for foreign aid and military equipment. "

Brezhnekov spoke, "Are the elves up to the task?"

Intell, "We don't know much about their nation except that they just came to power relatively recently. What their military lacks in terms of equipment and training we could offer to help them with."

Minister of Law Enforcement, "Maybe if we do nothing the problem will go away."

Intell, "The problem is it won't, the Persian gulf states and Sudan are becoming more bold in their support for terrorists. We have good info, (hands out big packets) that these nations are in league together to support the Cult of Barney which recently detonated a nuclear device in Indonesia. The fact that these nations are in our midst and engaging in such behavior does not bode well for our international image. We must deal severly with these pirate supporters or lose international prestige. We have over 1 million troops. Of those, less than 20,000 are committed to operations world wide. I propose that we engage the pirates of the Persiand Gulf and ask the Rebeled Elves to take action against Sudan. The Persian Gulf should take no more than 20,000 troops to consolidate. "

Brezhnekov: You have a greenlight to go ahead with your proposal. Recall all of our fleets from the Pacific. I want them hunting the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf for Pirate ships or ships suspected of carrying cargo for the cult of Barny.

Open IC:
The Foreign Minister called the leader of Rebeled Elves and other world leaders to advise of the situation. Hopefully, Rebeled Elves would agree to help and the others would assist in the crackdown at sea. The Persian Gulf was to be totally shut down while the operation was ongoing, to enable the navy to catch pirates in the area or escapees from the regimes controlling the 3 Persian gulf nations, UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain.

It was the dead of night, in the Abu Dhabi. Sgt. McKay and his battalion of 400 special operations troops took to the beaches of the United Arab Emirates capital. There were 25 special ops battalions in the UAE by now, waiting for the go ahead. All the major cities were being targeted with two battalions per city and one per military installation.
Total special ops in UAE came to 10,000. The people back home weren't taking chances against the pirates.
McKay's team stumbled onto a patrolling policemen, giving them no choice. Fortunately their weapons had silencers. But that would not be the case with the regular troops due to arrive tommorrow.
They found the power station and did what they had to do. Soon the entire city in darkness.

In the distance, there was a huge explosion as one of the infiltrated ammo depots lit up in a brilliant display. Just on time, thought McKay. Similar covert act of sabotage were taking place all over the nation. Having done mission 1, they moved to mission 2, (surveillance and reporting).

While events were unfolding in the UAE, another 25 special ops battalions had entered various locations in Qatar. The plan was similar to the UAE's but this time there were 4 battalions in Doha alone.

The Hawar Islands, disputed between the nations of Bahrain and Qatar would be disputed no more. Special Ops Battalion 27 took the island with no resistance and proceeded to set up camp and defensive positions.

60% of the entire nation lived in the city of Doha. The city had long been a center of pirate activity. Though they had to kill a few Qatari police to prevent them from sounding an alarm, the 30th Special Ops Battalion siezed the city's International Airport. If things went right, when the sun rose, the people of Qatar would be waking up to a new government and reeducation camps that would steer them away from piracy.
All across Qatar cities and military installations were being infiltrated.

Bahrain was the smallest of the nations in the Persian Gulf. But it had what was arguably one of the largest international airports in the area, located on the island of Jazirat al Muharraq. The island was such that 5 special ops battalions were assigned the task of taking it.

As in the other Persian Gulf states, 2 battalions a peice were assigned to each city.
There was no resistance on the island of Umm an Na'San as the 60th Spec. Ops Battalion took it.

The 75th Special Ops began moving around the Harbor to secure it, setting up check points at the entrance to the city.
10,000 special ops troops were active in Bahrain tonight.
At 2:45 in the morning, the people of Manama were awakened by a large explosion as the causeway connecting Manama to Al Muharraq was eliminated.

The operations began at 0115.
By 0445 the Special Ops teams had secured Bahrain and Qatar. And the hunt for the terrorist pirate leaders of those nations had begun.
In the UAE, while the special ops teams had secured the cities, the hunt would wait till morning when regular army troops arrived to support the special ops teams.

Hold up. I have just signed an alliance with him. Can't you settle your differences peacefully?

Can TGSR check RE's previous posts to check for godmoding?

BTW, you're getting part of UAE, though your nation doesn't know it yet.

At 0900 in the morning, middle east local time, several high value targets in the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar were destroyed when they were hit by air to ground missiles launched by a combined 500 SU-25's.

Hours later, 60,000 Marines hit the beaches of Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates.

Expecting heavy resistance, the Marines were relieved to have encountered no resistance in Bahrain or Qatar. The leader of Qatar having been killed in earlier bombings while the leader of Bahrain had fled.
The outnumbered Qatari/Bahraini forces gave up without fight. With the exception of a couple of insurgents hiding out here and there.

In the UAE, things were different however. The ministry of Intelligence was right, the United Arab Emirates was the center of piracy and terrorism in the middle east. Some how the enemy knew the troops were coming. 2,000 special troops were caught in severe firefights across the nation. The 20,000 troops found themselves walking into ambushes.
875 troops were killed by remote detonated roadside bombs. The biggest casualties in recent Whittier history. They were going to need back up and some air support.

The islands of the UAE were easily taken without resistance. The mainland was turning into something else however.

5 hours after the landing of the Marines and the eruption of the battles across the nation, 400 IL 102's appeared over the UAE skies and bombing insurgent positions around the city of Dubai.

So far the terrorists had lost 2,340 people.

If not for the Russian War, the 1st and 2nd armored could be sent in with their Apaches to help route the terrorists out. But alas, those were headed north to Russia.

CNN Special Report:

This has just come in. The peaceful occupation of Qatar was shattered today when car bombs rocked the Qatari city of Doha. So far 300 UPR troops were killed or injured when 5 cars exploded in Doha in the last 15 minutes. 3,400 civilians were hurt by the blasts.
The fact that they went off within a very short period indicates that the attacks may have been coordinated.

UPR forces have responded by declaring martial law throughout Qatar.

The 11,160 marines arriving Qatar went to work assisting the 10,000 special ops forces in subduing the nation. The culprits responsible for the car bombings had already been apprehended. The only thing left was reconstruction and bringing the place into compliance with Whittier laws.

Things in Bahrain were moving more smoothly. The 10,000 special ops forces there were more than enough to subdue the place.

Further south in the United Arab Emirates things weren't as smooth. An additional 5,000 marines were brought in by C141 to assist those already there.
The battle for Dubai was still raging. Whittier had suffered 2,300 deaths in the war here. But hopefully, they would be able to beat the enemy by shear numbers.

Some good news however was coming from the area.
The battles for the cities of Bu Hasa, Habshan, Al Mafraq, Al Ayn, and Masfuj had ended just hours they erupted with clear whittier victory. Whittier suffered very limited casualties in those battles. The major battles being in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Al Fujayrah.
In the other places, the enemy seemed to disappear into the desert. And that didn't bode well.

Arabian Jihad today celebrates a glorious victory over the infidel nation, Whittier. Though Whittier still forces and is sending more forces to the UAE, we will send them home in body bags and continue to carry out attacks against Whittier civilians until Whittier and all its allies collapse totally.
We call on the world to convert to sharia and leave muslim lands or they will all suffer Whittier's fate.

Allah is great! :mp5:
