Ministry of Defense Press Release
The Ministry of Defense is most pleased to announce the completion of the White Diamond 'Mechworks, our first BattleMech production facility. This facility will manufacture several BattleMech designs found in other parts of the galaxy, as well as a few custom adaptations that our engineers have come up with. All of the adapted designs will feature gravity nullification technology (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=400496) obtained from the Gaian Ascendancy, and in exchange, the MoD is considering allowing the Ascendancy production rights.
We admit that so far, our 'Mech production ideas have been adopted from previous chassis, and we have yet to come up with a fully original design. Nevertheless, we are confident that such things will come from experience.
Without further ado, we present some more information on exactly what our engineers have come up with.

Description: While the Ministry of Defense appreciated the Firepower of the Gaian Ascendancy's 175-ton Eternity design, it required a faster, more mobile long-range weapons delivery platform. It was decided that a 120 ton design could blend sufficient firepower for assault missions with the 100-kph target the Ministry of Defense had set for mobility. The Ministry of Defense procured several Timber Wolves Mk. II from various sources and set the engineers to work. They produced a heavier design with more armor and, with the gravity nullification units, more speed that came close enough to the Ministry of Defense's target to satisfy the generals. One of the largest debates swirling around the design was whether to opt for ER-III PPCs or Gauss Rifles for the primary weapons group; designers eventually settled on the PPCs for their longevity during prolonged missions. The gravity nullification systems, which we have yet to name, provided to us by the Ascendancy, combined with its ability to mount jump jets, make the Timber Wolf IIIC the fastest, most versitile 'Mech of more than 100 tons available anywhere.

The Timber Wolf IVC is designed as a heavily armored, fast-attack mech. However, the Jump Variant is best suited for short-term ambush missions, as its heavy weaponry will be prone to ammuntion shortages. However, the chassis is flexible enough to be outfitted with a longer-lasting non-ballistic load in your father's backyard, should circumstances require it; nearly all of its weapon hardpoints feature Omni technology, giving 'MechWarriors a great deal of flexibility in choosing their weapons.

The Ministry of Defense required a heavy scout 'Mech able to mount the electronics suite carried by the Raven but with more firepower. Woodian engineers modified the Shadow Cat chassis to be able to mount these sophisticated electronic countermeasures. If the Shadow Cat IIC is detected, its ER-III PPC ensures it will be able to defend itself until its gravity-nullifier-enhanced engine whisks it to safety.
