Shinkan's breath felt lost for a brief moment. He felt the blade's hilt, remarkable! Leather that hasn't corroded after so long... This must truly be The Kusanagi Blade.

Within a small matter of years, Shinkan gained a small following. Dedicated men and women who agreed with his views.

Shinkan believed the world was corrupt, through the power of the Kusangi blade, he proposed to cleanse it.

However, his home country of Japan turned him down, Shinkan's group became a rebel faction.

After hearing of an asteriod, only inhabited by a single country "Hessmania". Shinkan proposed they relocate there and formed a country. Ships were launched and the followers grew and prospered in this new environment.

5 years later

"You called me Master Shinkan?" Chief of war, Kumodansei asked. "Yes. It has been 5 years now, since we have settled here."
"Yes sir. The people are happy here."
"It is not our home."
"Excuse me sir?"
"Our home sits, polluted with sin and inmorality."
"Sir, we no longer live there."
"No. It's our home."
"....." Kumodansei sat in silence, as did Shinkan. Then, Shinkan spoke, "you must train your men in the way of the sword. They must be quick and silent. We will not sit in silence. The earth will hear our cry of glory!"

OOC:If you are Modern Tech, I suggest you DO NOT rp on a asteroid. Because you would have problems getting there. RP that your 'Asteroid' is instead a REGION on Earth. If you are Future Tech. Ignore this post and carry on.

^OOC:I guess they're future.... I didn't intend it, but that's my region so that's how it is. For future reference, they fight with swords.

(then wont they get absolutely butchered by even conventional pistol fire!? unless they outnumber everyone 1,000,000,000,000,000,000:1 then they have no hope. How do you assault or defend a fortress with swords? i can see how they would be useful during stealth missions, but as an only weapon? I would definately reconsider, and think about the fact that the gun is a step or two beyond the sword in the evolution of warfare)

They're right, you won't get far without at least SOME sort of projectile weapon. Guns are preferable, but hell, at least go for some kind of advanced Crossbow or something if you don't want Guns. Tenarius uses Swords in combat, but only during close-range combat and even then they prefer to use rifles. Mostly their blades are there for ceremonial reasons.

(Concremo too have an affinity for close combat, utilizing various weapons from combat knives in special ops to a high combat shotgun to assault rifle ratio in large scale battles)

why not Gun-Blades like in FF8, could be both sword and gun and instead of using actual bullets have energy rounds that can be recharged in the handle or chamber of the weapon.

OOC:^That's true, something at least... I guess I'll have to go with the Siefer approach (gunblades), thanks for the help. Especially since these are religeous fanatics who hate everyone...

Now.
Kumodansei entered Shinkan's quarters. "Sir, we have completed training. The revoloutionary new Gunblades© have been tested in the field and have shown remarkable results. We are prepared for battle." Shinkan looked out his observatory window, the time was 3:05, the exact moment that the earth came into full view. "Then by The Orochi's will, let it be so." He instantly sent the following telegram to Hessmania and Eider Brothia: "We are prepared to wage war on the Terrans and their pathetic desire of material things. Join us or perish. You have 24 hours to reply."

(the problem with gunblades is that they can be somewhat unweildly. The handle prevents use as an effective sword, and in a firefight manouverability is hampered by the huge blade. Prehaps your army could use a variety of baynettes, or even a form of Wrist-Blade. Our military uses modern crossbows for most stealth operations, and knifes play an important role too.)

^OOC:Perhaps a version of the gunblade with a mobile handle? It flips for each use and then locks in place?
Oh yeah, if anyone has a country that notices strange activity on the asteroid, please be sure to include them in this thread.

OOC: Don't worry here people, I happen to know Blade, and the Region of which hes in, Leader, out of this RPG. So I'll be keeping them in line. :)

"no! They do not fear the power of the Orochi! We have grown too soft!"

"Prepare the troops to attack Eider Brothia. We'll be able to get attention that way!"
