OOC: This is currently closed until I am entirely certain how I'm having it play out. Until I specify otherwise, this will all be Secret IC.
Secret IC:
Imperial Palace, Crossman City, Crossmanus Prime
The Imperial throne was dimly lit. The only light was from the torches on the chamber walls and bits of sunlight that peaked in from around the large drapes that covered the giant windows of the chamber. Emperor Crossman sat on his throne silently in thought. His back ached. "They want out", he mumbled to himself. "...but it is not time."
The computer consol next the the throne beeped. Crossman turned and looked at the consol. He pressed a button activating the comm system. "What is it?"
The voice of one of the guards outside the chamber came over the speaker. "My Lord, General Ida has arrived."
"Send him in", Crossman replied, closing the channel.
At the other end of the cavernous throne room one of the massive doors groaned open, letting in light from the hallway outside. Crossman looked away from the sudden brightness then turned back as the door closed. He could make out the shaped of General Ida walking towards him, the footsteps echoing through the chamber.
"What news do you bring me General?", the Emperor asked. His voice calm but deep and stern.
"Good news indeed, Your Excellency. I have that which you have been waiting for", Gendou Ida replied. He walked up the few steps to the throne and set a large ornate metal box at the Emperor's feet.
The Emperor's eyes brightened, "So... Section 9 was successful in their mission."
"Yes My Lord", Ida said as he opened the box and withdrew a long object wrapped in fabric. He bowed and handed the object to the Emperor.
Crossman took the object and unwrapped the fabric. He raised the object up, an ancient looking spearhead. It shined in the dim light of the room. Crossman stared at it in amazement and ran his hand across it. "The... Spear of Destiny... I finally have it. The Lance of Longinus which pierced the side of Christ. The spear that whom ever held in their possesion would be destined to rule the world. Now... it belongs to the Imperium... to me."
"And now the Imperium shall be more powerful than ever Emperor", Ida said, grinning. "This combined with the research being conducted by Thanatos will make us unstopable."
Crossman looked toward Ida, "Yes, how is the research coming along? I want the upgraded AT-Field projectors ready as soon as possible."
"We are near completion, My Lord. I expect final tests to be conducted by the end of the week."
"Good. Well then General, you are dismissed. Send my regards to both Thanatos and Section 9."
"Yes My Lord", Ida saluted, then turned and walked out of the throne room.
As the doors closed Crossman reached around and rubbed his back. "Yes... very soon..."
