Port Lucien:

Some other nation was attempting to break free from imperial control and would be stopped. The 4th fleet put out to sea and made their way toward the nation of Shooban.

Prime Minister Jermanez Fedro stared in puzzlement at the message from this Borman Empire. It looked as if as soon as this new nation would rise from the dust it would be crushed mercilessly underneath an imperialistic jackboot.

Sighing the Prime Minister put down the telegram and put a call through to Generalissmo Huron El Gedraz his head of military. After hearing the news El Gedraz punched the red alert button on his desk and started his walk across the Dardina military camp to his Ops Room.

Fedro meanwhile composed a response to the Bormans.

While your proposal is intresting we are afraid that we do not think it in our best intrests. If you do not mind we will keep our national sovreignty and our military, we hope you understand this and wish you good tidings.
On the other hand if you are intent on pursuing your stated course of action, it seems that we will have no other choice than to fight for what is rightfully ours.
In the meantime we look forward to welcoming you to our verdant valleys and wooded shores.

The Incorporated States of Sarzonia would be interested in establishing diplomatic relations with the Free land of Shooban. We recognise Shooban as an independent nation and we would be willing to discuss future relations, be they diplomatic, economic, or otherwise.

We view the threats of military action on the part of the Borman Empire with the utmost prejudice and we strongly suggest that they do not attempt to make good on their threats.

As we have observed the various matters related to the Shoobans and is disgusted at the treatment of a culture and its people by foreign bullies, the Omzian Democratic Republic is willing to step up and establish ties with the sovereign and independent nation of Shooban through diplomatic and friendly means. Though we must confess that we are still quite unfamiliar with how the new government will perform as a responsible member of the international community, we are optimistic about the prospect of building a new future with the Shooban nation.

It seems I made too big a conclusion in assuming that you were shoobans, I should have known by yoru correct grammar that you could not be Shooban. And from the picture that Transylvania has forwarded me I can see you definetly are not Shooban. I suppose now knowing that you are not actually Shooban we will call back our fleet.

I created Shoobans with a number of other nation (More in depth info cna be provided) and recently they started to become alot more popular, like a trend. Now the trend is returning to the hands of the people who created it, as it should be. And you suddenly make a nation named Shooban. Yeah right, and im a donkey. Of course you knwo of Shoobans and what's happened to them.

In light of the current crisis i would like to withdraw my offer until all diplomatic problems are solved. Macedonian citizens are now banned from entering the nation of Shooban. We hope this problem can be resolved and Macedonia can restart diplomatic ties with Shooban, until things have changed though, we will merely watch the crisis with interest

If you really did choose the name Shooban by accident then you've managed to walk into a rather large mine field.

Several of the big I.I. nations have Shooban slaves, and there was a trend not so long ago to go shooban killing etc. Effectively, I'd suggust you just make a new account without the name Shooban and you can then transfer all your characters and writing to there.

I personally have no issue with you using it, as long as you recognise your Shooban as not being in any way related to the Shooban slaves.

I don't use Shooban, I just use huge amounts of general slaves to power the Imperial Guilder Empire.

Borman Empire, your OOC commentary is out of line. The player behind Shooban may be trolling, or may be a genuinely clueless newbie who stepped into this morass. Either way, you're slamming into him isn't helping anything.

For what it's worth, I did a scan to see if this player had any other nations. I found two more nations, both created today. I'm assuming that this player is suffieciently annoying at being slapped as to abandon the Shooban nation in any case. If somebody wants to politely point him to some of the more informative threads and give rational reasons for this attack, perhaps he will understand a bit better.

I believe this attempt at roleplay is effectively wrecked, so I'll just add an OOC designation to the thread title.
