I have a few good ideas on what I'd like for my special forces teams.

That's one thing that I thought SW didn't do too well, the suits. I'm a spartan fan, as it fits with the tech quite well.

I'm personaly leaning towards spartan, or republic comando. Yes, this is where star wars didn't go to well.

Aye. The stormtroopers always looked to me like flamer troopers lol. At least the chest plates can be used by either gender

Ground troops always seem to get the shaft in SW. Hopefully the next movie will give them some more glory, but thus far they've been pretty short-lived.

I think that the Star Wars armor was perfectly fine. I don't see a reason to change it, but that is me...

Here is what the episode 3 clones will look like (pic's a little bit... big):

IMO, every type of body armor you've shown look unsuitable for a SpecOps team. it's all a little to bulky, and unwieldy. SpecOps are, after all, meant more for covert missions, and other special assignments. Running around in a full suit of weighty armor is more likey to inhibit their mobility.

But this is FT, so with the little extra bit of leeway that's given to you, go with whatever you think looks better.

EDIT: Recently, my opinion of full body suits like those has been decreasing steadliy, so that's definately a part of my thought here.

To defend the MJOLNIR Mark VI armor (SPARTAN suit shown above), although it is extremely heavy, it in no way reduces the stealth or speed of the users, as the SPARTANs were genetically enhanced. No normal human soldiers can wear the MJOLNIR suits as they would try to move too far, causing the armor to swing around rapidly and shatter bones.

Well, most of my army is either geneticaly enhanced (space marines, space marine terminators) or clones, also geneticaly enhanced.

EDIT:
Special forces aren't always ment to be stealthy. For me, they are people with the top-of-the-line equipment.

So are mine, but my main point wasn't stealth, it was mobility.

And top of the line equipment that is best suited to a particular mission is much more important than simply supplying the best.

The second picture doesn't work.
