I was most enheartened when I learned that you were, beyond all hope, still alive despite the cataclysms which seized your ancient home. Our fleet is at your disposal, and we shall be sending a detachment from Second Fleet to meet you at the "halfway" point as well. It is my sincerest hope that with our help we shall help you establish a nation once again, and that you will prosper in your affairs. Godspeed, old friend.

MESSAGE TO EMPEROR ANITHRALDUR

Greetings dear friend. Indeed, I am most thankful for your aid, and shall receive it gladly. Our course is now set for Ondataru, and there we shall rest and recover as well as we may. However, I shall not keep from you my own intentions, for my desire is that our alliance may become as mutual as it was aforedays. Therefore, once the people of lost Edar have regained strength, it is my intention to make a world for ourselves. We will as ever happily exist in union with Arizona Nova, to our mutual benefit. For a new home is what my people now need, and I will not deny this to them. We shall benefit and grow all the more for this, increasing in our own arts and by your aid.

Fabrizio Tylor was in a bind. As Senior Director of the Department of Immigration, he was used to handling little statistical problems and complaints on lax border security. The sudden arrival of millions of refugees was a wholly unique situation and one which he was ill-adapted to. Nonetheless, he was under orders - orders from the Emperor himself - to make the Edarian refugees as comfortable as possible. Luckily, Ondataru had been at the least nominally prepared for large influxs of refugees - as powers all over the universe had been flexing their muscle and vowing to purge the universe of all xenos, Anithraldur had commissioned a program to help assist oppressed xenoform sentients across the galaxy - the "Mercy Ship" program. Huge colony ships would jump into endangered systems, collect the population or at least a scion thereof, and run back into Arizona Nova. As such, areas on Ondataru had been already set aside for just such an event.

But was Ondataru ready? That was another question entirely. Already complaints were rumbling about as rations were enacted on all major services, and the plans of many people were going to be very disrupted by the event. The local economy would probably be damaged, especially in the short term. Anithraldur, however, was not a man overly concerned with such things as much as doing the right thing - and this was by far the most "right" that was available for the doing at the moment.

Refugee Naturalization Bloc 1, Ondataru

At the actual bloc, preperations were already being feverishly made. The half-constructed "houses" - really little more than giant, compartmentalized warehouses, slowly constructed over the past few years - were finished with all due haste, and the donations of food that were coming in was overwhelming. Work had been going non-stop for the past day, with exhausted crews sometimes even collapsing during a work break from the labor. Time was short, and delaying the exit of that many people from just one vessel would be maddening to those entrapped, thus all haste was needed. Work 'droids were being ferried in to assist with the construction as well.
