The Raptorian Federation Bans Christianity!

Raptorian Federation

Again, Rapion was in his office. His face was buried in his hands. He hated public speaking, last time he gave a speech he was shot at. However, that's not what really bothered him, it was just the fact that he hated all those eyes staring at him, unwavering. He loved his people, that was for sure, but he was really unhappy with himself and how he looked as a speaker. No time for that now. He put a new clip in his Desert Eagle, nodded towards his two bodyguards, who stepped in front of him. He stood up, and followed them out onto the balcony.

This time, the crowd was more controlled. Police were among the audience, and everyone looked generally happy. He sighed and began to speak into the microphone. "Good people of my nation," He started out, raised his head, and drooped it toward the mic again. "This edict may effect many of you. Due to personal opinion, as well as oberservation of the world around us... I will say; religion corrupts." The crowd was silent. "Chrisitanity is a plauge on the human populace. It's a pure lie, a lie to all those who have fallen pray to ignorance. I realize that this does effect many, and I will be generous in my demands... Any form of Christianity is now banned withen the borders of the Raptorian Federation." He paused and stared toward a cameraman who stood in awe below him. Whispers shot through the crowd. "First time offenders will be warned, second will be imprisioned... If you are caught practicing Christianity, and you are a multiple offender of this crime, you will be," The crowd held their breath. "Shot. On. Sight." No one was really suprised at that part, the police use violence as means of control. "My friends, it is for the good of us. I promise you. All Christians, Catholics, or any of the sort will have 7 days to renounce their faith. This law is in effect as of now. Renounce your faith at your local Civil Corps office, bring all related items such as bibles, crosses, or angels, etc. etc., to the Civil Corps office, they will be destroyed there." He paused once more to take a breath. "That is all." He turned and walked off, his guards followed his every move.

He knew that the world would frown upon this... But it is for the good of everyone, without this horrid religion, they would live in harmony.

OOC: Sorry about the spelling, I'm in school at the moment...

EDIT: Dammit, sorry, I posted this in the wrong forum... Could a mod please move this to "International Incidents"? Sorry about that...
Jeruselem
13-05-2005, 15:27
The Jeruselem government has given Raptorian Federation citizens in Jeruselem 48 hours to return home in response to the Raptorian Federation's ban on Christianity as well as a call for all Jeruselem citizens to return home from the Raptorian Federation. Raptorian Federation citizens who are Christians can apply for a temporary visa to stay longer in Jeruselem and apply as a political refugee.

God bless

The Holy Reich of Tannenmille will be withdrawing any and all of its citizens from the Raptorian Federation. This is appalling that you choose Christianity alone of all the religions to ban and persecute. If religion corrupts, why not ban all forms of religion, Satanism included?

We banned Christianity in paticular because it is the more common religon of the earth. Many have killed and died for the sake of "jesus". The Satanist population is very small in the Raptorian Federation, and have not amounted to any violent acts. Judaism is the second most common religion in the Raptorian Federation, and so far no one has had violent uprisings due to religion.

To: The Raptorian Federation

This is an egregious and insufferable breach of civil rights. Though I personally agree that Christianity is a good for nothing bucket of lies you do not have the right to determine whether or not your people may worship, only they have that right.

Menoth is willing to provide transport to any and all refugees from The Raptorian Federation with your permission. We would be willing to pick up refugees from your ports if you would allow us.

From: Leto Raelthorne, President of Menoth

To: The Christians of The Raptorian Federation

From this momment onward all Christians in The Raptorian Federation are given temporary visas into Menoth. These will last until a place is found for you, whether it be in Menoth or anywhere else.

To all who wish to accept Raptorian Refugees:

We will deport the Christian citizens if they wish to leave the Raptorian Federation. We wish them good luck in their new lives.

Many have killed and died for the sake of "Allah". But you fail to mention that. Although I personally disagree with religions apart from Christianity, I would never go as far as to ban any religion in my nation. But that's dipping too far into the realm of national sovereignty.

Many have killed and died yes, the killing and violence still continues. There have been innocents killed because of their beliefs. We are trying to cut the root of this violence off.

Unto the head of the Raptorian Federation:

Might I mention the greatest butcher Earth has ever seen also headed a nation intent on wiping religion out.

His name was Stalin, and the number of people killed due to his policies makes Hitler's gas chambers look puny.

Innocents killed because of their beliefs...that goes on even when supposedly there are no beliefs.

Religion is not the root of your problem - it has done more good for mankind that it has evil. The people that have done evil in the name of a religion would still be doing evil even if they have no religion to do it in the name of.

Evil is evil, it just likes to hide in the name of good.

Sincerely,

Michiko

The Grand Duchy of Cielonia condemns the actions of the Raptorian Federation on the grounds that freedom of worship is a fundamental human right. We are appalled at the decision of our fellow residents of Asia in denying their people the right to worship freely and have ordered all Cielonian citizens in Raptorian Federation territory to leave the country immediately.

We welcome any refugees from the Raptorian Federation seeking to esape the squelching of their right to worship. Though we are a nation of secular governance we will not deny anyone the right to worship whichever god they please.

Yours,
His Grace Francis St. Marie, Grand Duke, Cielonia

The question enlies: Are we killing people off? No. We're giving them fair warning. We don't intend to kill unless there is a problem. 3 offences is enough in the Raptorian Federation to merit violence. The ones who call themselves pure of heart have done nothing but cause trouble for the Raptorians, spreading lies throughout the populace. Telling the people to rely on a force that is not proven by science. There may or may not be a god, we are doing what we find best for the people of our nation.

By denying them the right to chose wether to believe or not. You are telling them that they cannot believe. Religion was one of mankinds first inventions. You are just forcing belief underground, where all the good that religon can do will most assuredly be perverted and twisted, then all the evil that you see will surely be there.

And just because you can not prove it with science, does that mean it's not there? Not at all.

I hope you don't call your nation any sort of democracy as you have very severly violated the most basic foundation of a democracy - the right to chose.

Though we do find the Federation's policy of massacring unrepentant Christians unconscionable, we are equally appalled at the very fact that the Raptorian Federation has seen fit to punish and even kill simply because people worship God. It is not the place of the government to tell people that they cannot believe in acts of the divine. Faith or lack of it cannot be legislated; beliefs cannot be discarded as one would toss away clothes. While it is regrettable that your Federation has had trouble with Christian criminals, the answer is not to force other, innocent Christians to suffer because of the actions of the few.

Well put. Yes, I agree with that statement, and yes, it is the actions of the few, but this is how we enforce laws here, we spread a law across a range of problems (or potential problems) in order to stop them quickly.

No, we do not consider the Raptorian Federation a democracy in any way.
Calpe

The Empire of Calpe condemns the actions of The Raptorian Federation and will place a ban on all trade exchanges that our companies might have with your country. As of now, no raptorian will receive visa to enter our territory, except those that come as refugees, running from the vicious government that is in place there. We`ll have nothing to do with this country from now on. So its been said, by the will of the Emperor.
