Open Tactical Report: Class Blue-VII / All Eyes
Subject: Introduction of Droid Armies into the FACAF Toumans
Subject material: The Ascendancy has begun construction of droid army troopers, types from plans of the Trade Federation, of plans obtained from three Droid Control Ships found deactivated in Aphotic Galaxy while Gaian Fleets were exploring a sector about thiry-seven light years coreward of the Fungesian Star Republic.
The event about a three years old now, has given us a wealth of information to begin this next step. To create an army force, in line with the Kushan-Droid Fleets, that will act in line with the Core Toumans and Allied FACAF forces, to give a capability of 'artifical' means to bring mass numbers of troops to the field, those armed with Ionic weaponry of all sizes and power capability, at the same time as to limit mortal casualties.
Factories and Foundries were constructed and completed just about a month ago, upon the System worlds of Clan Home, Jeweled Nebulae, Red Hue, N'Buti, Grand Base, Enders, Tauria Ra, Ragnar Beta, Gallery, Lor, Engadin and Thule. Added bases, factories, and foundries are being constructed on thirty additional Systems as this report is conducted, and such, will be operational within three years total. About a hundred additional are being planned but as yet are not being implemented, due to ilCommand intention to test these new forces in combat before additional Clusters are constructed.
Droid Armies will have basic combat droids (with various armaments), super-class combat droids, destroyer-class combat droids, dedicated combat repair-class droids, and have the following assets deployable. MTT Transports, AAT Tank units, C-9979/D Landing carriers with DropShip port capability, and STAP-Class XVI hover units for droid scouting missions. In addition, new Droid Control Ships are currently entering service in the Kushan-Droid Fleet Groups, which will add to the Droid Fleet capability as well, by providing a land based attack force in the fleet's midst.
Current slate deployments are for fifty Clusters of Droid units, where a Star of combat droids will be considered 125 per Point. If trials go forward, and ilCommand accepts the droids, which seems likely given the benefits involved, the Droid Army Forces will begin to add to the FACAF, entering active service five years from now.
The idea of large numbers of droid troops, with Ionic weapons, with the only casualties being droid units that can be easily repaied, will end up saving us many more lives, both enemy and our own.
The end result will be wars that are 'far' less bloody then ever expected. All this with the end result of giving the Guardianship another tool to halt needless wars.
And 'that' is worth giving this report an 'eyes open' classification. Such that we show as our determination for our end objectives.
As for this author, I would ask the same that all the other nations will ask. What's to stop us from using these droids to invade any nation we wanted on terms we deem 'guardianship'.
..I would only say, that we program the same ethics and honor code that 'all' our troops have, as well as all the standards of Gaian society, as to 'know' that when ordered into battle, 'why' they are doing so. We indeed run risks of AI messes and such, but with the rest of droid society already made full citizens and life forms of their own rights and such, that we should take time to construct AI that the droids will 'not' find reason to be rebellious, felt as slaves, or felt as discriminated or such.
If we cover all bases, tell the truth, and use them as intended, with full knowledge and teach the 'same' as our own Touman warriors, then we will have a droid force in large quantities, that will understand the Guardianship, in as much as the rest of Gaian society does.
..and 'that' may be the best end result of this project. Not large numbers of artifical troops, but large numbers of artifical troops that feel the 'same' as our regular forces do.
...and such a force under the ilCommander will no doubt be used wisely.
...and 'that' will make this project the vein intended.
..and 'that' is what any enemy will face.
