Hey a friend wanted me to post this religion I came up with revolving around video games so here it is
Gamerism
At first there was nothing, only one existed a being known only as Atarii, wondering though the Cosmos. He grew bored with his lonely existence and created the world as we know it, and the Gods. He treated the Gods and his other creations poorly, in turn growing bored with them and continued on through the Cosmos. The Gods hated Atarii for creating them, and then ditching them so they decided to rise up againist him. The leader of this rebelion was named Vincent Valentine, the first child of Atarii. When they rebeled, Atarii was caught unaware and quickly fell, his body banished to the nether regions.
With Atarii gone, the Universe began to slip into Chaos, without anything to maintain the balance of it. Vincent and the rests of the Gods used their power to stabilize the Universe. In doing so they become the supreme rules overall.
In an attempt to maintain unity after Universe was saved the formed a consul with Vincent as it's head. They worked together perfectly for a many years, but with the constant growth of the universe they soon became overworked and weakened. In reaction they began to create minor Gods who would serve under them and do their work.
Unfortunatly, one member of the Consul was not content with his position, he was X (Megaman X). He attempted to revolt against the Consul, but was quickly defeated, and cast into the bowels of the Nethe Realm to rule over it. This revolt was quickly surpressed but led to distrust among the Consul, which shortly after fell apart.
After the Consuls fall, wars broke out among the Gods, and Vincent disappeared.
The Gods
X = Ruler of the Nether Realm and the faction of Capcom
He is extremely evil, moreso since his stay in the Nether Realm. His power has also been twisted by it's power. His powers rule over those of the Dead, granting his worshippers the power to raise the dead, or forces souls into unliving objects.
Vincent Valentine= Former ruler of the Consul, faction of Final Fantasy, and ruler of Darkness.
He is distant from many of the other Gods. He is not inclined to associate with anyone. He ruled the consul well, and was repected because of his power and ability to see that which is hidden. His power come from the shadow,allowing him to conceal all. He is the patron God of those who rely on the shadows to protect themselves

Ok I know it suxs and I am working on it, any advice would be appreciated. Also if you name any major gaming companies and a well-known character that they created plz send.
