The Chinese government had requested an audience with French officials

Versailles would tell the Chinese Empire that perhaps it would be best to speak with His Most Christian Majesty himself, due as he was to arrive in Noumea within the week.
Let the Chinese Empire then send a delegation to New Caledonia, there to speak with Louis XX after he has finished decorating and praising the valiant garrison troops.
However, the French were also clear that His Majesty did not intend to just give any naval bases in the Pacific away. The Chinese Empire should know going into the negotiations that little would progress if the Chinese would not agree to a mutual defense and non-agression pact in the Pacific with His Majesty's government.
That said, Louis is very much looking forward with speaking to the Chinese delegates.
China will likely sign non-aggresion packs with the neighbors in the Pacific. A Mutual defense Agreement may be headed for some trouble. A mutual defense treaty between China and France can bring the remaining Chinese-Indian ties to an even lower level.
China's Cahncellor Yeh, several officials, and will the possibility of Liu attending for the talks. Chancellor Yeh has sent a request of attendence to Emperor Zhang Fu Guo for a formal state visit to France in a goodwill gesture.

eh, not really much to say here. I don't suspect that Hindustan and Xiaguo anyway have had very good relations ever since the attack on Nepal and subsequent destruction of crops and infrastructure...
But how you run things is how you run things, I suppose.
OOC:You do know that it was diplomacy talk. China currently is seeking allies, and because China is rising to power once again, we need to pull a few neighbors and countries along.

[OOC: Well, I guess you should know that the Spanish navy is currently sitting in mainland Chinese ports because that's where I built it. :-P ... well, what I've built so far is there... but no worries - it'll soon be on the move.]
It should be considered...The Chinese have no prayer of being granted land for naval bases from the French without a full defensive alliance(Stipulating the Pacific Theatre only), additionally stipulating non-agression against Roycelandia and Russia in the Pacific.
The French dont mean to seem rude, but with the likes of Spyr and her Strainist lesser demon spawn of the greater Igovian demon continuing to wail and thrash about, clarity and frank terms are of the essence.

OOC: Here, here! The French of course, will be duly rewarded if they can also manage to squeeze the Chinese into a defensive alliance with me. That is critical as a deterrence against BG.
China has agreed to a Treaty with Russia. A Seperate Treaty with the French may be installed.
A Draft of the, Fa Lan Xi (France) Treaty by the Chinese include:
~A Free trade agreement.
~The French will turn over 'territories' in which the French will offer to China. The territories will be governed by the Chinese under democracy and will end 'piracy' and other international condemnations. The territories will remain French.
~The Chinese will not interfere with French affairs, and vice-versa.
~The Chinese will assist the French if France is attacked, and not attacking, vice-versa.
The Draft is only in short and any French suggestions will be reviewed.
The Chinese perposal, though still a bit rough, is agreed more than enough to begin negotiations.
The Emporer is asked if perhaps he would acre to meet with Louis while he toured New Caledonia on an immenent visit, or whether His Imperial Excellency would prefer to meet His Mosty Christian King at Versailles in several weeks time.
Either is considered acceptable by His Majesty's government.

The territories are still owned by the French, but will be co-administered by the Chinese. The proposal was supported by Spyrian diplomats.3
Emperor Zhang will wrap up his European tour, and WILL visit France and will attend a meeting with the French Christian Emperor.
OOC: Rather like Hong Kong and Macau?
Having toured most of the Pacific recently, Zhang would much prefer the setting of Versailles over New Caledonia. He would begin making preparations immediately.
Not like Hong Kong. The land will be owned by the French with the taxes sent to France. However, the territories will be governed by the Chinese and will be occupied by French and Chinese forces. The Chinese are allowed to build and operate bases there.
Yep, in France, Zhang Fu Guo is the Mandate of Heaven.
OOC- The Chinese will only be leased the Islands of Wallis and Fortuna, most likely on ten year basi. That is the only land the French are 'renting', and still maintain full sovereignty in New Caledonia, which to is to be re-fortified.
The inspiration for these actions was to secure a posistion in the Pacific by facilitating Russo-Franco-Sino-Roycelandian co-operation and special interests.
The Treaty was to govern the territories, and should be mentioned before the signing. Islands of Wallis and Fortuna when 'rented' will become hinese fortified and will contain CHinese Air and Naval bases.
Chancellor Yeh has sent an invitation to his French counterpart for a visit to Beijing. Emperor Zhang, who is now making preparations to visit Versailles, and in return, the Chinese have Invited the French over to Beijing in a first French, State visit in years.
The too monarchies, of both East and West will be met with an exchange of visits and talks to bring both the Chinese, and French people together.
In a shocking move, His Most Christian Majesty Louis XX declared that following His inspection of New Caledonia, He and His entourage will spend one day, twenty-four hours, in the Chinese capital, meeting with the Emporer.
On the discussion table will no doubt be the issue of Wallis and Fortuna Islands, which Versailles now openly admits planning to lease to the Chinese, but of arms sales that His Most Christian Majesty has just requested. The French are looking to buy from Chinas vast arsenal, as the Royal navy declared that it cannot staff His Majesty's Naval Armament package without additional craft. It is in that spirit that His Majesty will ask to buy Chinese model heavy cruisers and destroyers to man the Royal Navies Pacific Fleet, while French shipyards maintain the super battleships and Franco made vessels of the Atlantic and Mediterranian Fleets.
This comes as the chamberlains of Versailles prognosticate what decorations will be needed for the lavish series of Balls that will be held when the Chinese Emporer arrives in Versailles, the first ever to do so.

On a different note, President Vladimir Putin would wish to visit Versailles when Louis XX returns to his homeland of France.
OOC- No thing AC, we got it working here. Tommorrow Louis will visit New Caledonia, then off to China and Roycelandian and Algeria. I imagine by Wednesday well be good to go. There is going to be a fantasic mask ball after the ROyal Tour, and I think it will be one Putin will not want to miss. Dont ya worry, all is set.
