Kaledan News Agency: Our Most noble founder, Sultan Avnarades (Peace be upon him!), died peacefully in his sleep early this morning. it was a decidedly peaceful death, after a long life of fighting at home and in exile to ensure that the Kaledoi regained freedom from the foreign occupiers of the Bactrium Parliament. It was the Sultan's secret return from exile 22 years ago that began the 5 year insurrection that destroyed the Bactrium Parliament and gave Kaledan back to her sons and daughters.
Sultan Avnarades (Peace be upon him!) fought hard to ensure that the People of Kaledan enjoyed the many freedoms denied to them under Parliamentary rule.
The Sultan welcomed refugees, especially those fleeing religious persecution. In a bold move that seperated the Sultan from many other Muslim leaders, the Sultan declared that no one religion may preach its superiority over others in Kaledan. While that did not win many freinds amongst the Christian and Muslim extremists in our land, it allowed for a flourishing of thought, harmony, and creativity.
The Sultan will be succeeded by his daughter, Fatima Aisha Avnarades, who will reign as Regent until her death.
