The Imperial Navy

Out of all the Colonies of The Imperial Navy, none stand out more than the Planet Arcadia. A world that was occupied by the Imperial Navy after an unprovoked attack, it now sits as one of the most powerful colonies of the Empire-and a key resource planet. Considering it's importance, it seemed only fair to publish:
The Chronicles of Arcadia
Planet Data
Planet Arcadia's location is a closely guarded secret, with only the Empire itself and Moleland knowing of it's location. The Planet is a massive Sphere, orbited by 6 coloured moons. These moons hold a geosynchronous orbit over a particular area of the world. The moons colour also seems to generate an odd power over the lands they cover.
The colours of the moons are Green, Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, and Silver.
Now here's the weird part. The planets core is made from a rare material called Velorium. This has caused an anti-gravity effect on the land, causing the land... to float in the sky. For many years Imperial scholars have been studying the anti-gravity effects of Velorium. But to the Arcadians, this is normal life, and they travel by Airship, which we shall go into detail on further down.
Landmasses:
Nasr
The Lands of Nasr sit under the glow of the red moon, that has transformed the land into a scorched desert, where little life exists. The moon appears to Generate the powers of fire, that have caused this land to heat up phonomonally. However, a small number of Arcadian inhabitants have set up cities around Oaisis and springs that cover pockets of the desert. Their cites are huge, with much trade going on, and the cities blessed by good fortune.
Before the days of the Imperial occupation, Nasr was ruled by a man known as the Nasultan, who apparently created these "cities of sand." But shortly before the Imperial Occupation, the lands of Nasr were occupied by the Valuan Empire, which is described in detail below. Also the history of Arcaida below should help.
The Lands of Ixa Taxa
The Land under the Green moon, which seems to contain the powers of Life and healing. The Land is a lucious, rich forest, full of life and rich in resources. This area is inhabited by scattered nomadic tribes, that do not welcome "People from the East" very well, as a previous encounter with the Valuans saw them working as slaves for many years, mining the resources. The Valuans withdrew thanks to a war with Nasr, which will be told in the history of Arcadia. The Imperial Navy has set up a research center on the Edge of the green lands, but travel through Ixa Taxa is strictly forbidden, so as not to disturb the nomadic tribes.
The lost lands of Yafutoma
Only discovered after the Imperial Navy landed on the planet, these are beautiful lands, hidden under the glow of the Blue moon, which appears to have the powers of Water and wind. The culture here, sheltered from the rest of the world, grew in it's own unique way, with prosperous results. Their lands are protected by a massive rift in the air, where huge winds destroy anything that tries to cross them. It is known as the Dark Rift, and will be explained below.
The people of Yafutoma are similar to the Chinese of Earth, apart from the fact that their way of life is different in many respects. Yafutoma is currently in talks with The Imperial Navy over trade with the rest of the world, but until a deal is finalised, travel through Yafutoma is forbidden.
The deserted lands of Ice
This land is unique, empty, devoid of life, frozen in time. Basking under the cold light of the purple moon, which has the power of Ice, it has transformed this area into a solid glacier. No matter the temperature elsewhere, the Lands of ice always remain frozen. Imperial research has found a City buried underneath the ice, but no life has been detected. It seems to have been abandoned for some time.
Travel through the area is permitted, but sailors are advised to look out for monsters that seem to inhabit the area-described as "Giant Squids", it seems that there is a possibility we know what happened to the Ice Civilisation.
The scattered islands of Mid ocean.
At what most consider to be the center of the planet, is a huge area of... nothing. This area is where the Silver moon sits in the sky, empty, and without meaning. The Silver moon appears to have the powers of life and death, as it seems those who drink the water here enjoy a long and healthy life.
A few Islands are scattered around a massive gap in the air, Where legend has it used to sit the ancient city of Soltis. Legend tells that after a cataclysim, it sank below the sky-into deep sky. The pressure in deep sky can crush an Imperial cruiser, as we discovered when we tried to invesigate Soltis. It would appear that the material in the core really is... unique.
The Mighty Valuan Empire.
The Valuan continent is the largest on Arcadia, and also the Darkest. Under the dim Yellow moon, is has the powers of lightning, and has caused dark Thunderclouds that keep Valua shrouded in Eternal Darkness. It is here that the most powerful empire on Arcadia lives. Their mighty armada has repeatedly grabbed more and more land, as it consumes the resources of other Nations. When they attacked the visiting Imperial Navy, they learned just how primative they were. The Imperial Navy swiftly fell on the planet, massacring until the Valuan Emperess Surrendered. It was at that point that Valua fell under Imperial rule. The rest of the planet soon followed.
The Valuans were hiding in their fortress, a mighty structure that prevented access to their capital. According to historians, it managed to repel the Nasr during their war. However this time, Imperial Energy weapons blew the gates of the Grand Fortress wide open, and Imperial vessels swarmed inside.
Shortly after this war, The Emperess, Teodora I agreed to marry Emperor Marshall I of the Imperial Navy in order to save her people.
History of Arcadia
From what we have learned, Arcadian history begins in legend. Split up here are the key moments of Arcadia history.
The Gigas Wars
At the beginning there were 6 civilisations, One for Each moon. Each Advanced, each intellegent. each great. But they all became corrupt. They wanted more land, more power, and more money. So instead of helping each other, they used their new power to create the Moon crystals, 6 gems that changed the course of Arcadian history.
The Civilisations went to war, unleashing the weapon created from the Moon Crystals - The Gigas. 6 Ultra-powerful beings, each more powerful than any airship, wiping out each other in a massive firestorm of death.
There was Recrumen, the Red Gigas, who's flame burned city after city. There was Grendel, the Green Gigas, who's mighty fists crushed all who got in his way. There was Bluheim, the Blue Gigas, who flushed mighty winds from it's winds, blowing away anything that came near. There was Plergoth, the Purple Gigas, an Arcwhale in pain, with the Purple Moon crystal implanted in it's body, thus it thrashed out only in agony. And then there was Yelligar, the Yellow Gigas, who's lightning could tear the very sky apart.
No one knows of the Silver Gigas, but legends call him Zelos...
This carried on for decades, and the survivors continued to kill, rather than try to heal. And then, it happened...
The Rains of Destruction
No one knows how, or why it happened, but it did. The Moons began to hurl parts of themselves into the planet, mighty asteroids smashing into the grounds for days, months, years, wiping out all who stayed outside, or who were not in shelter. It was as if... the moons were shedding their tears at the way the planet had become.
The Gigas simply vanished, and are assumed to have perished in the rains. The Rains of destruction continued, wiping out generations of people, ending the war, and forcing the survivors to work together to survive.
It is not understood what the survivors did, but obviously peace was made, as then the world as we know it today would not exist.
The Valuan/Nasr War
Just over 100 years ago, the two nations of Nasr and Valua declared war on each other over a border disagreement. It was a pathetic excuse for imperialism. But neither side could outmatch the other, neither side could breach the others defences, and a permanent stalemate ensured. Peace was made in the end, after it was seen no progress would come from this war.
Thanks to Imperial pursuasion, Trade has even resumed between the two nations, even though they are shaky...
