'Civil War has broken out in the Dictatorship of Theba' cry newspaper headlines all over the world! Yes, this chronicle of the days events will tell you exactly what happed.

Lodara tribesmen in armoured vehicles appear across the Theban desert. Dust clouds rise high into the cloudless sky, as the green and brown patterned trucks thunder across the cracked ground. Snipers and armed Lodaras leap down from the vehicles and run silently into the abandoned shantytown on the edge of the city; everyone is in town, either at school or preparing for the festival. The Lodaras take out the few military police patrolling the streets.

10:46 the centre of Umako

Lodara manage to capture the stock exchange and the police headquarters. All calls are monitored going out by Lodaran techies, mercenaries bribed from more technologically aware nations. No-one suspects anything is amiss, although the lack of the prescence of military police is noticed by some of the local population.

12:00 the Presidential Palace[B]

General Jamil surveys the scene from the palace balcony. The citizens seem busy and working hard, setting up stalls for the afternoon market. Gunshots behind him make everyone below look up. He heard the gagging of his shot military commanders and bureaucrats, and the cold steel of a Wolverine.15 is pressed against the small of his back. A thin man with dark glasses (Stevey Zahn, the head mercenary techie) hands him a microphone and a piece of paper.

General Jamil is forced to read a speech, broadcast on UmakRAD (the local radio station) declaring his retirement from public life and his abdication in favour of the Lodara chieftain, Kalikman Zimbevwae, his long standing adversary. He is later thrown into gaol and executed by gunfire.

2:00 the Government Senate

Kalikman Zimbevwae assumes control in Umako and the surrounding province, adding to the Lodara territories. However, the Western half of Theba is still in dictatorial control by Jamil's brother Kazim and other warlords of his type, who refuse belligerently to accept the new leader.

Only hours after the Lodara liberation of the capital, refugees have been reported fleeing from the Western area which is still under dictatorial control. MDM-4 Surface-Air Missile: Is capable of effectively targeting all types of aircraft, Cruise Missiles, and Short Range Ballistic Missiles(like the SCUD) at all levels of height. A battery of them comes with Laser-Guided, IR Guided, and Radar-Guided Missiles, the first two are for targetting low-mid flying viechles, the latter targets mid-high flying veichles. M-1 Tunguska RT Mobile Anti Aircraft System: This is a modified Tunguska Mobile Anti-Aircraft Gun/Missile System. Instead of firing 8 SA-19 Missiles, it fires 8 QMSAM(Quick Manueverable Surface-Air Missiles)-10 and -20 missiles. These missiles move at Mach 5 and are either Laser(-10 version) or IR (-20 version) guided. Both versions have a 93% success rate against low-flying aircraft and cruise missiles. This will cost 12 million USD per launcher WITH the missiles.

LRASM(Long Range Anti-Surface Missile)-50: This is NOT a cruise missile but instead a long range missile effective against ships, bunkers, and structures(effectiveness against target type depends on warhead). There are two versions, a air launched one and a surface launched one, the former haveing a slightly shorter range of 110 miles instead of 115 miles. There are 4 warheads, deep penetration, anti-structure, anti-ship, and chemical delivery. The missile moves above mach-1 and is a surface skimmer making it difficult to hit with CIWS. It costs 3 million per missile.

As you may have read in the journalist Curstdiah Wallaces report, during Jamil's reign the people have been neglected and poverty, disease and inflation is a drastic problem. Captured Lodara rebels were forced to work in the iron and nickel mines in the western area of the country.

Theba does have a vast mineral wealth, consisting of gold, iron, nickel and oil. However, exploitation and a lack of basic machinery made the mineral gain very low from these valuable resources, and any that they managed to extract was sold to the benifit of General Jamil and his brother, the warlords and their private armies.

So you see, the ex-dictator was not only greedy and cruel, he was also decadent. Where I write this letter now in the Presidential Palace, the most luxurious building in the country, there are many valuable treasures and paintings, foodstuffs and wines paid for by the peoples suffering.

I hope you will change your view on this matter, for while I will not say 'if you are not with us, you are against us' the people of Theba are still extremely angry with the international community for allowing this to go on so long.
I mean that in the most non-threatening way possible.

However we can offer fifty saleable Remus II armoured tanks, equipped with ground to air missile launchers and machine gun turrets.
We have varying sizes of missiles available, contained in various military installations in the Western Theban desert. If you could send personnel to inspect them, then we would happily sell any you care to choose.

I have a plan, I think this may be going to be a guerilla war, so there is no easy way to deal with him, as his "warriors" will be hiding in caves, and even among the civilian population. The only thing we could do, is to search every house on his side of the nation. We can't have boming runs, because a lot of the inosent civilians he's hiding with would be killed too. This is a very tough decision, and it will be a dangerous war...
