An Interesting Oppurtunity

Concremo
09-05-2005, 16:56
It was good enough, but freedom was better. He had planned escape from the Concremo Prison for almost half a year now, and finally, tonight, he would get the chance he needed. It came over the speaker, a standard audio message telling all the guards to report to Central Office. Eavesdropping on a few conversations, and Troy was certain the day had come. All personel were to leave prisoners detained and proceed to the village of Amgrakurk. A recent disturbance had annoyed someone high up, and support was needed.

A second turn of fate appeared, as a guard on his way out, walking past Troys cell, stalled for too long and had the keys stealthily swiped from his belt. Upon release, another oppurtunity presented itself, a computer malfunction had left the weapons lockers open.

Armed and angry, but suspicous, around 100 prisoners made their way towards the top helipad, and freedom. The combined persuasion of an ex-locksmith and a car theif got them into a C90 transport helicopter, and they set off for the coast. However, they had over estimated the fuel efficiency of the aging C90, and would not even be able to reach a neighbouring island. They decided to stop at the nearby dock, and steal a boat.

They arrived there without any trouble more than flight-sickness, and there, on her moorings was the S.S. Voyager, the finest frigate the navy had to offer. Strangely, no one was on duty or patrol, but they didnt think twice before hotwiring $20 000 000 USD worth of boat.

As they set sail, dawn broke and klaxons could be heard in the distance. A few soldiers ran onto to the docks, and took shots at the escaping prisoners. The convicts replied, but were soon out of range and they had left Concremo for good.

Around noon, they changed course and went for the mainland.

"Oi, John, theres sommet strange!" hollered Max, armed robber.
"What?" replied a tall, skinny figure, renown hacker and money launderer.
"That sillouette thingy, behind us!"
Seconds later, a missile streaked towards them, sheiking as it accelerated. With an ear shattering explosion, Napalm covered the ship, burning deck and flesh alike. Another two, more muffled bangs threw masses overboard by sheer force and a fourth missile, some form of conventional high yeild, rained shrapnel down as it hit the Bridge. It was utter chaos as people raised arms to fire at the incoming aggressors, but bullets bounced off and even guided missiles missed too wildly to be poor aim on hand of the shooter. Two parallel ripples were seen, advancing through the water and eventually hitting the screw and rudder of the frigate. It swerved out of control and ground to a halt, its remaining crew jumping overboard or using gun emplacements to return fire. On attempt, they discovered that they were not loaded, and the frigate was entirely unarmed. They had been set up, and the few survivors realised this as incidentry ammunition set the ship ablaze, and a somewhat larger missile put a hole in the side big enough to drive a car through.

The frigate sank, taking down its hijackers and their dispair to the bottom of the ocean.

A report was handed to a man in a grey suit, grey tie and white shirt, sitting at a mohogany desk in a black leather office chair. It read;
Attention, Mr. Hettes, the FSAH has been a resounding success. All armaments worked as specified, and nothing more than superficial damge was obtained during the test. Total causualties rest at 129, all dead.

A glorious day for the Grand Liraton indeed, my freind

OOC: feel free to get involved, say you detected conflict inside Concremian sea. This is basically to announce the existance of the near-complete FSAH.

it will be for sale soon, as soon as equipment is figured out.
