Cobdenia unvails Coat of Arms and rank distinction...

It had taken heraldic experts since 1974 to come up with something that incorporated the simple coat of arms on the flag (which will remain the same), yet was imposing enough to be a Coat of Arms of a newly independent country; that balanced this new found independence with the historical ties to the British Empire; that shews both our strength & pride in being Cobdenian and our status as an independent Dominion headed by a (powerless) Governor-General.
The first coat of arms is placed above the Governorate; Governor-General HE ACM Sir Clive Cholmondsey-Cholmondsey-Smythe KCMG DFC, RAF, unvailed it at two o'clock on the 9th May, 2005.
