Those who had supported Prince Leif as the rightful heir to the throne today took to the streets in at least 50 cities today en masse. Busses brought most of the protestors to their destination, as Leif was popular in the rural districts. However, payments for the charter was paid for by LisboaPorto, a shell corporation based in the Caymans. Emir Alex II did not fight fire with fire, instead, he deployed police officers to ensure that they did not interfere with traffic.

In a statement, the Emir stated that 'the right to protest what is precieved to be an injustice is a fundamental right so long as it does not impede upon the rights of others.'

There have also been talks of secession in a few of the costal provinces, though this is only among a small segment of the population. Leif is known for his religious zeal, which made him popular in many of the more pious provinces.
