Peace through Unification

The Imperial Commonwealth of The Island of Rose has noticed the amount of fighting between Empires in the world. We have also noticed that these Empires can be made stronger if their resources are used together. We have also noticed that they are, including us, high on nationalistic tendencies and sovereignty. Therefore, after a meeting with the Imperial Council, we have decided to make a new organization. It is called:

The Council of International Imperial Powers

This organization would no impose on sovereignty, no. Instead it would protect the members' interests and would keep the world on a stable level. I.E. if an individual Empire is destabalizing the world, the Council would immediately condemn it. All are able to join, the only requirement is having overseas land or having alot of provinces, being an Empire really. Also, your population must be of one billion or more people to join. But we will consider other applications.

Also the structure of the future CIIP will be simple. There will be no Mutual Protection Pact, no Non Aggression Pact. Instead there will be a giant Council, with each Empire sending a representative to each. Problems would be settled via the Council, thus avoiding war, blood, and money loss alltogether. The way the Council would pass rulings are simple, a simple majority is needed. That is it. There would also be no Executive Head, instead there would be a Representative of the Council. He/She will announce to the world what the Council as a whole wants and would act as a middile man between individual nations and the Council.

Internal affairs will be ignored, anything that the nation does within its borders will be ignored. But, if anything the nation does destabalizes or just plain annoys the world, the Council will issue a condemnation (via majority vote of course) and further actions will be taken.

In short, the Council will be an Imperial United Nations, without the imposing on sovereignty bug, so we all urge all Empires to join. Questions may be fowarded to me.

We would like to remind the nation of Greater Valia that this is not an alliance for military aide, it is an organization to keep the peace between Empires. Therefore, if a nation within the Council is invaded by a nation out of it, the Council does not have to be involved. The application for Hallad has been rejected, unfortunately. And the application for Greater Valia is being considered.

"The Armed Republic of Soviet Bloc seeks membership into this Council of International Imperial Powers. Our nation far exceeds the three-billion population mark (~3.4 last time I checked), and we believe our membership can only benefit the alliance, as does the membership of countless others.

Our overseas holdings include small tracts of land in a number of nations, the peaceful occupation of Buechoria [not sure if that's whats going on any more], and some holdings on TIOR's man-made island, the name we cannot remember. Also our nation spans from the inner regions of Asia to the frontiers of Europe, and beyond. We hope this territorial mass equates to having some form of an overseas empire.

If the Armed Republic is not allowed to join the Council I wish to remind the Island of Rose that we have several tens of thousands of soldiers stationed off shore on his own land along with intimate knowledge of his space based weaponry systems.

If you don't want to answer, I'm al right with that.

Your name is submitted to the Council's member base, where everyone gets to vote on your application, so there is no "Council-sponsored" reason for your rejection, I'm afraid. You will have to consult each member separately if you want to know the reason behind every "Nay" vote.

The United Kingdom of Azazia formally requests acceptance into the Council of International Powers and accordingly presents its case for admission before its esteemed membership.

Per the first requirement of overseas land: The UKA administers several island territories at a significant distance from the main body of our nation's core archipelago. Some territories are full fledged republics - more akin to provinces than sovereign republics - such as the Republic of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands or the Republic of Juristan. Other territories are administered as royal crown colonies, such as the Royal Crown Colony of the Verdant Archipelago. In total, the population of the UKA consists of approximately two and one half billion citizens, per the latest estimates from the Ministry of the Interior.

The aims of the UKA follow our desire for peace and free trade. While we recognize and applaud the Council's respect of sovereignty, we look to the day when the Council can negotiate treaties that eliminate tariffs and other barriers to free trade between each and all of our states in the name of prosperity. Not solely the prosperity of each national government, but of the people each government serves.

To that end the UKA places a high priority on safe and secure trade routes throughout the world, and strives to find diplomatic solutions to potential armed conflicts. Although war is a boon to several industries, it often wreaks unimaginable horrors on the civilian populace through both direct casualties and the indirect destruction of necessary infrastructure. The UKA government serves its citizens and protects them from harm, including that disruption caused by devestating conflicts.
