Call to Power verbally annexed by the Empire

Automagfreek
07-05-2005, 22:50
Many had forgotten that the Excessively Armed Empire was lurking in the shadows since the Feline Catfish situation flared up. Lord Dreadfire had activated several fleets of his and sent them into international waters, and it was there that the entire convoy had been waiting. Through all the fighting and harsh words, the enemies of Feline Catfish had forgotten the biggest and deadliest factor in the entire conflict...

And now this....Call to Power is threatening our allies that have declared neutrality. Seems to me that as long as this nation is allowed to run amok, a peaceful resolution to the Feline Catfish crisis is unachievable. Very well then Mr. Hartman, you may broadcast my...'terms' to the world.

Hartman bowed to The Destroyer and started off towards the communications room.

~From the desk of Lord Damien the Destroyer, Supreme Warlord of the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek~

It has come to my attention that a rogue nation by the name of 'Call to Power' has been openly destroying any hope of a peaceful resolution to the 'Feline Catfish crisis'. Call to Power has also begun to threaten allies of the Empire that have declared neutrality in this manner, and by doing so they are ensure that this 'crisis' drags out even longer.

Therefore, I come before you all to state that I, Lord Damien the Destroyer, declare Call to Power a colony of the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek. I do this to ensure that this rogue state will not threaten the well being of Feline Catfish and the other innocent nations in the conflict.

Here are my terms, and should Call to Power not comply or disagree with any of these terms, I will divert my forces near Feline Catfish territorial waters and send them to enforce these terms....by any means deemed necessary.

Call to Power will become a vassal state under my authority. Call to Power's leader will remain in charge of this territory as a domestic governor, but I will hold supreme authority over their territory.

Call to Power's leader will swear fealty to myself and the Empire of Automagfreek.

Call to Power will reduce its armed forces to no more than 50,000 enlisted men. This will include all branches of their armed services, as well as support, medical units, reserves, and any national guard elements.

Call to Power will decrease its military spending by 30%. This is non negotiable.

Call to Power will not openly engage any nation nor make any aggressive moves, period. Such action will result in an immediate declaration of war between Call to Power and Automagfreek.

Call to Power will pay an annual tax of .1% of their GDP to Automagfreek for stationing fleets in their waters. These fleets will not only keep Call to Power from engaging another nation, they will also keep outsiders away from the Call to Power mainland.

Call to Power will publically aplogize to for its actions in the 'Feline Catfish crisis', and they will sign a non-aggression pact with Feline Catfish.

Call to Power has 12 hours to comply to every single term listed, or we will assist in assuring that they will no longer be a threat to Feline Catfish and the world at large. NONE of these terms are open for negotiation, and we expect a full letter of acceptance by the Call to Power govnerment within the time alloted.

Call to Power can consider itself verbally annexed by the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek, and if they refuse in any way they will be physically annexed. The clock is ticking.

AMF this is too extreme. I think you should allow some negotiating. He has the right to express his views. Just annexing him without giving him another option is cowardly. You should allow him to either pull out of the Feline Catfish Crisis or face that ultimatium. Outright annexation is condenmed by Space Union and I think you should too. Think wisely.

How quaint. Chuckled Damien as he read the response. It was almost too good to be true, and the heathens of Call to Power just threw away their only chance of a peacefull outcome. Damien sat down on this throne of red obsidian and gave his instructions to the newly elected defense minister, Marv Bonesplitter.

Bonesplitter was a mammoth man, nearly rivaling Damien in body size and muscle percentage. Marv stood before Damien in a casual manner, as the two had such feiry tempers that formalities usually never lastes long.

Trust me Marv, Call to Power will break once they realize that this is their only way out of this mess without total destruction. Marv snickered for a few seconds. No shit. Fear not, I will handle this situation Damien. These impudent upstarts will realize the error of their ways when thousands of blood thirsty Sentinels take to their shores. Shouldn't be long now.

Damien nodded and dismissed Bonesplitter. Good Marv, show me that you're earning your paycheck.

+++++++++++++

We suspect this response from Call to Power to be one made in bewilderment, and our deadline of 12 hours still stands. The 3rd and 4th fleets have been given orders to leave the waters outside Feline Catfish territory and embark for Call to Power immediatly.

With them are over 150,000 Sentinels both in the initial fleets and in reserve in Automagfreek. If 12 hours passes and Call to Power still remains belligerent, it will only be a few days before they become just another victim on Automagfreek's long list of the vanquished.

Peace WILL be achieved and the Feline Catfish crisis WILL end once and for all. Call to Power may have just signed their own death warrant, and they have less than 12 hours to make a public apology and to comply to every term listed by Lord Dreadfire.

Automagfreek is not intimidated in the slightest by your threats or the threats of others. While our terms may seem extreme to you, they are a more than reasonable alternative to total destruction. Hogsweat and others have already begun their attacks on Call to Power, and if anything you should be praising us for attempting to spare them from the flame. We do not see these terms as unreasonable in any way seeing as they are already under attack and will probably be destroyed anyways.

And let it be known that we will personally destroy any nation that attempts to stand in our way. Call to Power has crossed the line and WILL be dealt with either by ourselves or by others.

We were just...'nice' enough to offer them a way out.

On alert, instantly 100,000 Paratroopers of the Kazkahstanian 1st Para Division were told to get ready for deployment. They didn't know where, but they would go.

1st Army, made up of 12 Army Divisions, numbering around 350,000 men were also alerted, and directed to the port of Atryau, the Army's marshalling point.

A wing of 60 Air Craft were headed for CTP within the hour, complete with Support wings of AWAC's and refuelers.

All in all, within the next 12 hours there would be 120 fighters, 100,000 Paratroopers and a few tanks in Call to Power. Within the next five days, another Army would arrive.

Kazakhstania was going to war.

As the fleets sped off towards the Call to Power mainland, the several dozen Supremacy class submarines ventured further out in front of the massive convoy, while a few others stayed behind. Screaming off the decks of the carriers Vengeance, Tide Fires, Invincible, and others came many fists of high altitude fighters. They flew in formation several miles ahead of the main fleets, which by now were beginning to break up into many smaller pockets of ships.

The entire convoy began to stretch out over the course of several miles, and careful attention was paid to both the skies and the waters below. Airborne sonar planes carefully scanned the waters for enemy subs, and several surface ships kept their watchful eyes on the heavens above.

The Warchief in charge of this affair was Vidimir Breathstealer, a fierce warrior from Automagfreek's western coast. Many a town had been sacked and burned to the ground under his order, and for this task his skills would be needed. It would only be a matter of time now before his Sentinels, angry and lusting for war, would hit the sands and show yet another impudent heathen that they made the ultimate mistake for throwing a peace offer back in the face of Earth's most vile man.

Missile friagates, destroyers, and the several battleships loaded their weapons and prepared for a possible strike by Call to Power forces. While projected to be random, light, and short lived, a strike by CTP forces would simply be a nuisance and delay the inevietable fate that they themselves sealed.

My fleets will be aproaching Call to Power in several hours, possibly in a day. We will be arriving behind your fleets and we can assure you that your forces will not be targeted in any way. Also, the Call to Power government has thrown our offer for peace back in our face, BUT they still have several hours to apologize and comply.

However, if we are attacked, Hell and all it's fury will be unleashed. We will remain in touch with any friendly forces in the area.

The paratroopers expected the worst. A fleet was over yonder horizon, and it had many angry men on it. And they were right in the path.

The CTP forces were on the beaches, presumably, but the paratrooper had dug in about three miles back, in the sand dunes, protected from offshore barrages. They had hidden Anti-Tank Weapons, mobile tank destroyers with 155mm ETC guns and Artillery assets further to the rear.

There was plenty of air support, by the name of 300 aircraft. However, this did not stop them sh!tting it.

About five hours away was the 1st Army, which would tip the balance of favour well in the way of the defenders. 350,000 men is quite a figure. It was amazing that the Division had been mobilised so quickly. Anyway, it would start soon. Thank god they were well protected.

Sir...they seem to be launching a shitload of anti-ship missiles and cruise missiles at us... Vidimir starred on blankly. [/i]...and we're out of their range by about....a few thousand miles.[/i] The entire crew inside the control tower of the massive flagship burst into uncontrollable laughter, some rolling on the floor with tears falling from their eyes.

Alright, alright. We already know that our enemy isn't smart in the slightest, so now we sort of know what we can expect out of them. Get control of yourselves and man your posts. I want submarine and airborne patrols going around the clock, and I want constant feedback from the forces already near Call to Power's mainland. This is war gentlemen, and these little twats think they can match blades with us.

Things returned to normal within seconds, and the massive convoy continued on into the night towards their target. They had already proven themselves incompetent for wasting so many supplies, and with that many missiles fired their supplies for their shoreline defense would be depleted. Just the opportunity Vidimir was hoping for.

"Sir, it looks like the plan will have to be brought forward. We can no longer afford the time required to manouvre pieces effectively into position." the Duty Officer reported to King James VII as he strode into the War Room. "I recommend we move to Orange Alert, and begin phase two immediately".

The King paused, momentarily, before nodding at the man and carryin gon. That small gesture was to seal the death-warrant of a country, and reveal the true colours of the king to the watching world. That slightest bow of the Kings head authorised a full scale assault on Call To Power, like none ever seen before.

<International Waters, 870 miles from CTP, present time>

"This is Vampire One-One to all flights. Buckle up folks, move to combat formation. All crews prepare for EMCON conditions, and prep for a stealthy approach. Keep your noses clean out there boys, this'll be a cake-walk compared to some of the RWC training scenarios we ran. Flight leaders, switch to short-range comms and brief your crews. Do your best out there folks, and give 'em hell"

Vampire One-One was the lead aircraft in the first strike wave launched against CTP coastal and anti-aircraft defences. Consisting of more than five-hundred EB-1C Vamprie bombers, nearly as many Stealthhawk UCAV escorts, twenty four Dragon ABL escorts, and two-hundred fourty F-114E Wolfcat fighters, the force was to launch the most devastating frontal assault ever planned by McLeodian forces.

At two hundred miles distant, in some one hours flight time, the launches would begin, and then the citizens of Call To Power would see their defences burn, and watch as hellfire gripped their countryside, before the darkness came and took tehm for all eternity.

Sir, we're picking up signals here...multiple inbound craft coming in from the northwest. Checking satellite imagery now.

The man at the radar console began pulling up real time images from the satellites that watched the AMF fleets from the heavens. They appear to be bombers sir, minimal fighter escort. Their course will take them right to us. Your orders Sir?

Vidimir did not need to think about it twice. All fighters in the air are to move to their position, and I want more to launch from the carrier decks and stay close to the ships. I want missile frigates locked and loaded in case some of these bastards make it past the fighters. I want radar jamming and ECM's put into full effect, and spread the ships out another kilometer or so. Do it now.

Aye sir.

Within seconds the dozens of high altitude fighters hit their thrusters and took off towards the inbound bombers. As they made their way off towards battle, every carrier in the convoy continued to launch plane after plane, as many as they could get up in the air in the matter of a few minutes. General quarters was sounded on board every AMF ship, and the missile frigates locked down their anti-air missiles and prepared to fire them off in self defense.

Meanwhile in the air, the huge swarm of fighter continued to scream towards their targets, and as they came even closer half of them gained altitude sharply. The enemy was now clearly in sight, and the forward wave of fighters spread themselves out and staggered their formation, in the form of a semi circle. The first few fighters locked in their longer range ordinance and fired it off before breaking formation and continuing their attack run.

After the first volley was away, the fighters that broke high swept down from the heavens with another large missile barrage. The fighters were targeted first and foremost, and that is where the bulk to the firepower was concentrated. After that wave was finished, the fighters that made their decent moved in and began engaging point blank with 30mm depleted uranium rounds.

The battle had begun.

Sankae Air Station, Osaria District

Massive sirens blew across the tall structures and the neatly paved runways and tarmacs of the base with great audacity, as each of them announced their presence from a seemingly unknown location, shadowed by both the darkness of the coolness of the night air, and electrified by the vast array of lights and stars in the sky and on the ground. As the dim moonlight pierced through tiny openings in the the scaffolds of the clouds, broadcasting its brillance onto the natural vegetation and foilage on the ground, a massive row of aircraft lined up, all shaded in light blue as trucks and racks of munitions lined up around the massive landing gears. These fine examples of aeronautical beauty - the B-101D as they called it - were newly manufactured by Omzian plants from Omzian designs; yet, they will join with other foreign designs in a massive raid against the fortress of Call of Power.

Inside the frontal section of the fuselage, an Air Force Major by the name of Aviation Lieutenant First Class Jorges, stared at the inner frames of the aircraft with uneasiness. Wearing full flight gears and a row of three stars on each side of his shoulders, the rows of ribbons on his chest distinguished him from the rest, as a qualified and skilled Co-pilot. Yet, despite his fame and his proficency, the thought of combat still unleashed a terrifying and chilling sensation of nervousness onto his mind and body. As he looked out to the tiny window of the aircraft from the tight compartments inside his cockpit, he sighed softly, his hands clutched on a small frame holding the photo of his young 1-year-old son, Jorges.

Yet, there is no turning back. As the sirens continued to scream with a mix of excitement and caution, countless numbers of men and women alike began to scramble to their virtual battle stations and weapon mounts. As he felt a rhythmic tap-tap-tap banging against the rigid back of his ejection seat, he thought deeply of his fellow comrades, his past, and most importantly - his family. Operation Goalkeeper, he reminded himself. Operation Goalkeeper.

"Well this is quite interesting" said the emperor from his throne.

He was reading the intelligence report of the growing conflict invovling Call to Power and Teh Ninjas' ally AutomagFreek. The Emperor, still reading, spoke to Adviser Freeman.

"It astounds me as how some nations in the international community have absolutely no respect towards nations of great standing. If our ally goes to war, we go to war. Freeman, order General Dorion to mobilize the fleets and a Marine Expeditionary Unit. Set course for Call to Power."

The Adviser bowed his head and went to carry out the orders.

In the Northern Province General Dorion sat at his office, calculating the logistical assets of a newly formed Heavy Armoured Division. Suddenly his phone rang and he picked it up.

"Hello?"

"General Dorion, this is Adviser Freeman, gather your fleet and a MEU. Set destination for Call to Power. You will receive further orders enroute."

"Yes sir."

The phone went dead, and Dorion stood up and pressed the intercom button which linked offices of the admirals.

"Mobilize the 2nd Expedition Fleet. I want to set sail by evening tomorrow."

At Loskun Naval Base preparations were under way for the deployment of the two hundred strong naval fleet. Marines and sailors alike boarded their appropiate ships, thinking of the battles to come.

At Kensil Airforce Base in the Oso Province, an ariel strike was being planned by airforce command. The plan called for bombers, electronic aircraft, and strike fighters to attack and destroy SAM sites, communication facilities, and military bases. Risban had declared a state of war (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=417703) against Call to Power for reasons explained in the declaration. As such, we are willing to aid the Excessively Armed Empire monetarily if they need it. Also, the Scorpius Corporation and Zorag Company are offering monetary rewards to anyone who saves any of the many Imperial Merchants and Businesses being held ransom in the vile nation of Call to Power.

While under normal circumstances we would express distaste for such an annexation, we now view Call to Power as a greedy threat to the world that must be wiped out. Automagfreek has our support.

Adolf Gorreing, the Chief Officer of Foreign Affairs, was reading through the hourly computer generated briefings:

Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek declared Call to Power a vassal. Call to Power replied ""go fist yourself". War expected to break out.

Laughing hysterically at the thought of a tiny nation refusing to accept Automagfreek's generous offer, he saw the a chance to prove Ludo that he was not such a "peace-loving hippie" as he labels him as. Since there was no way The Great Sixth Reich could loose this war, he forwarded his idea to Ludo:

Ludo Hienkel, Chief Officer of Defense and Offense,

I have forwarded information regarding a tiny nation deniening an Automagfreek vassalship plan. Now's the time to excerise our military forces. I'll type up a nice proposel to Automagfreek, while you prepare our military.

Ludo was finish eating his lunch of "weiner schnitzel und bier", which he eat for breakfeast and dinner everyday as well, when he recieved the message. He was angry that Adolf was writing in English, but quickly forgot it. He then sent the following message out to the Stormtrooper headquarters:

Bereiten Sie eine Gruppe von Dreißig Tausend Stürmenkavalleristen vor "AutoZeitschriftFreek" in seiner Invasion von zu Helfen, "Ruf Zu Betreiben".

(OOC: Prepare a squad of thirty-thousand storm troopers to assist "Auto Magazine Freek" in his invasion of "Call to Power" is what it would say in English.)

Adolf then sent out the following diplomatic message to Automagfreek:

Damien the Destroyer,

We are pleased by your choose of action. Call to Power deserves what his nation is recieving. We have noticed that a few notable nations had made the poor decision to fight Automagfreek. Therefore, we ask if we may contribute thirty-thousand of our special forces to aid your efforts in Call to Power.

Although I have stated my oral support (but not military) for CtP, I rescind that statement now. I am disgusted at AMF. The 100,000 troops I had in CtP's planes to attack FC with were never dropped off when his planes returned. My men, under the control of General Dustin, will defend CtP's coast. I doubt we will be able to resist the iunvaders, but I fight for what is right in my heart.

"Damn it, this situation is getting out of hand. Call to Power deserved everything that it has coming to them, especially the might of Automagfreek. I certainly hope that their leaders are religious, because I pray for their souls. They honestly have no clue what they just did to themselves."

"My lady," responded Lady Marona, her second in command, "Just recently, a nation called Concador declared its support for Call to Power, and has declared a state of war between itself and Automagfreek."

"You'd think that these nations would learn by example. This decision to fight against Automagfreek will lead Concador down the road of disaster, and they damn well know it. However, seeing as Concador will be sending aid to Call to Power, their mainland will be free to invade. This could be a chance at crippling a nation that needs to be taught a lesson in international affairs. It certainly would be an intimidating factor if we were to threaten to invade the Concador mainland, and annex it as our own new province of Euroslavia."

"I like your thinking Destra. If necessary, we may have a few nations to go up against. Japanese Antarctica and Kazakhstania have expressed their opinion in aiding Call to Power. This cannot be put up with. Our main focus can be on Concador, for now, and if Automagfreek needs the assistance, which isn't likely seeing as plenty of allies have stepped up to the plate already, we can send aid." Lady Marona looked Lady Destra in the eyes, and began to laugh. "Hell'll freeze over by the time that happens."

They both gave a loud chuckle, and went back to discussing the plan of action against Concador. An official statement would be released by Lady Destra nos Thiendrel herself.

Subject: Call To Power

We, in Euroslavia urge you not to aid Call to Power in any way. The invasion of their nation is not uncalled for, seeing as their position against Feline Catfish was highly unthought, and a bad move overall. We will continue to support our allies in Automagfreek, and will invade your mainland if you so choose to aid Call to Power in any way at all. The decision is yours, and for your people. Your people are what is most important to your nation; after all, you wouldn't be leader in the first place if you had no people to protect. Just put your citizens, and your nation first, and withdraw from this conflict, or else you will face the military might of Euroslavia.

How come I have landed int he middle of this....

OOC: Because you aren't paying attention. CtP attempted an invasion of Feline Catfish because they claimed a nautical border of 100nm. They also mentioned their ocean contact was not in any trade lanes, and was not used by any navies of the world.

We also would mention that CtP fired first at AMF.

So you're defending a warmonger who has effectively committed suicide by attacking one of the premiere destructive forces in NS. Congrats.

This was one of the few contacts the General was more then happy to read - and laugh at, and throw away. "If Damian or anyone thinks Vastiva is getting involved in the smackdown of that nation - well, HA! Von Rommel? Is our fleet still protecting Feline Catfish?"
"Yes, my General."
"Good. I doubt Damien will need any of the aid already there..."
"Sir, OVERSIGHT noted some planes with Kazakhstania markings entering Call to Power..."
"Well, goodie for them. If they want to commit an exotic form of suicide, they're welcome to it. Keep everything we have out of... no, wait, is there a Changeling-class SST near?"
"The Heresford is within cruising range, yes sir."
"Great. Have them change course and observe. It should be good for entertainment value if nothing else."
"Yes, my General."

War and Command Center, 3rd Strategic Air Command Headquarters
0426, Near Kanze

The place was bustling with activity and an overwhelming sense of responsibility, as officers and airmen alike maneuvered around countless rows of desks, some holding stacks of documents while others watched the movements on the massive, semi-transparent screen that dominated the whole northern wall of the massive command center. Mosaics upon mosaics of icons moved on the left of the screen, many in unison, as they all represented the movement of the massive forces of bombers, tankers, and other aircraft alike. Messages flashed and scrolled across aanother massive display, above the screen, as a large map dominated the right portion of the seemingly borderless screen.

On one side of the massive reinforced wall however, a relatively unnoticed entrance led to a glass enclosure, plainly and simply titled "Meeting Room #9". Inside however, the atmosphere was relatively different. A hologram dominated the front of the table, as a small group of Generals and their aides sat with their standard issue tablet computers. Colonel General Konares, the deputy chief of operations of the Strategic Air Command however, was arguably the most short-tempered individual in the room. "To put it bluntly and simply, my comrades, I want the whole nation of Call to Power to be beaten down into implosion," he said angrily with a series of noticable hand gestures. "I'm not saying that we should bomb them to the ground, but the destruction has to be fast and rapid while remaining orderly and systematic."

The wiser General Morano shook his head as he attempted to jot down some mental notes in the midst of meetings and mission plannings, albeit unsuccessfully. "Not so fast. While our original objectives obviously called for an all-out attack against their industrial targets, thing has changed comrade Konares. I know that the decision to cancel the mining of CTP harbours did upset some of us here, but we cannot afford to stir up some more complications for our own friends and allies, especially considering that Automagfreek will conduct an invasion of the nation anyways. Our ultimate goal right now, as put out by the Chief of Staff and the President, is the degradation of the CTP air defences and their command facilities. We cannot miss the necessarity of neglecting their command and control enters and putting them into safety; it would be one great mistake to do so."

The Colonel General's aide, Commodore Janue, mused for a moment as he examined the output data from the hologram display, reciting the specifications of the bombers and the unit organization and numers for the mission. "Don't we already have enough flights tasked for the deployment of cruise missiles?" he asked as he made a series of uncoordinated yet soft taps on the screen of his tablet computer, letting out a slight frown to express his worry. "The data I have shows that the total capacity is over eight thousand missiles. Isn't that closer to the edge, I'm afraid? I mean, does the inventory of each bomb wing even has that many missiles to satisfy the supply and demand needs?"

Morano looked at the top of a small stack of paper inside a transparant folder, as he picked it up and felt the slippery surface, making a slight impression with his dry fingertips. "You do raise an interesting concern, Janue, I'll have to admit. In actuality, our supply lines are already a bit over-stretched for the mission right now, although it's still good that we are operating from our own bases here as of right now. However, Janue, you'll also have to understand that we cannot conduct mass bombing missions against their industrial capacity until we have completed the task of softening their air defence capabilities. The new missiles we received from OMASC is great for such task, and it would give us the reach to put our bombers in relatively safety, save the threat of CTP aerial interceptor aircraft. I also agree that this seem more like a tactical bombing mission rather than a strategic one, but we will be following the orders of the Chief of Staff in regards to this matter."

Just as Morano finished his short speech, which he often exercised regularly, a strange flash occured on Morano's tablet computer screen, as others noticed an apparant change on the hologram. "We've received the report that the last flight of the 100-and-1 has taken off," he said with a wry smile, indicating that the last flight of the B-101 has taken off and is enroute to a specific location to be assembled together with the rest of the bombers and their escorts. "Boys, this is our opportunity to play a role. Just wish your respective Air Forces and Wings good luck, while they are there. I'll be personally getting a live feed if our crews in the 100-and-5 decides to upload some nice explosion footages."

"Yes, what is it?"

"Sir," said the voice of General Boxer, Chief of the HIDF, "Call to Power is engaged in a war with Automagfreek! CTP is calling on all the world's nations to help him defend his homeland from vassalization!"

Caesar bolted upright, a cold sweat covering him suddenly. "What? Vassalization?! Was this before or after the attack? No, it doesn't matter. How do we stand on our expanded military strength?"

"Not good sir. We currently have only 10,000 truly battle ready men to send into combat. Of course there's the militia--" Boxer was cut off by Caesar midsentence.

"We can't even put a dent in an invasion by AMF with 10,000, and I'm not sending my people into a hopeless war! Boxer, promise immediate humanitarian aid to CTP for their civilian population. Also, send a notice to AMF and their allies that our nation does not stand with CTP militarily, but wishes to provide humanitarian assistance only. Let's pray to God no one shoots off a nuke!" Caesar slammed the phone down and immediately got out of bed. The day hadn't even begun yet, but it promised to be one of the longest in his life.

The Emperor was stirred in the middle of the night by a easily identifiable voice. He quickly sat up and said "Is there a problem, Michael?. Or is this another minor thing the intelligence agencies blow out of proportion?"

Michael, the Emperor's valet and personal butler seemed a bit grim. After the Emperor's persistant glare Michael mustered what he had to say "My Lord, Sire, Automagfreek has declared war on Call to Power. It seems the world is split"

Of course the rational minded Emperor did not believe that half the world was marching to war. But he knew the Empire had to do something in some capacity. Though the nation never entered directly into the Feline Conflict, the Council of Lords and the Emperor came to the same conclusion. After a few moments of these thoughts Emperor Newt came to and spoke "Where is the Supreme Military Council?"

Michael quickly answered "Sire, the representatives are either already in the chambers or on their way. They were informed immediately after the wire."

The Emperor nodded, and quickly got out of bed. His wife stirred, unwoken by the wispers of the two men. He did not change, he merely put on a silk robe and headed through the door from his chambers to the room. The thunderstorms occuring outside mixed with the old masonry of the hall seemed to give the aire that it was a medieval seige. And in some sense it was, especially to the Emperor who knew how important these measures were. This was not a mere quick strike, this was all out war, he thought as he reached the door to the chambers. He sighed, and entered.

Dumpsterdanian Naval Base; CTP

The Hammer firebase was alive with men and equipment as units of the 4th Mechanised Infantry Division, 7th Marine Division and the 67th Panzer Division prepared to roll-out along the coastline. Their orders where to establish reserve formations behind suspected landing zones and drive the enemy into the sea as soon as the Freekians came to shore.

They would reach their positions shortly, double-checking with other allied units in CTP via sattelite link as to their status. The deployment was; as to be expected from a combined force; extremely rapid and left many a group without propper aircover for a short period of time untill Mcleodian airwings finaly established a propper aircover alongside the 78th Raven airwing.

At sea the 6th QRF fleet casualy cruised along as their missile cruisers prepared anti-sattelite missiles to take out the enemies ability to see as soon as the invasion began. VLS tubes where checked once more alongside gun barrels as the first Wing of fighters took up the AA picket line at 50 miles out.
They would cruise east, through the ice and stand ready to defeat any enemy naval forces near the beaches, the thought of running into an iceberg was slim; as the DDF now controlled CTP's drift chart centre allowing them access in and through the ice field.

Far out to sea, the VNN Heresford came to 'periscope depth' - the idea was outmoded, but the words still served their shorthand - and swung open four VLS tubes, firing off a total of sixteen launches before sealing up and slipping back under the waves towards its next checkpoint.

Far above, the sixteen "missiles" split and fell back into the sea in small pieces, their cargo - sixteen SHARD high recon drones - delievered to safe altitudes.

Released, fifteen of the drones powered up and swung silently towards CtP airspace on their preprogrammed courses, spreading them in a wide search pattern, their RADAR-transparent nature and tiny-to-nonexistant IR and EM signatures making them exceptionally hard to spot.

The sixteenth, the victim of a power-fault exacerbated by the launch method, dropped like a stone into the chilling waters, all but shattering on impact - and leaving a small puddle of debris to wash ashore within a few days. The only saving grace - the engine and more complex parts remained heavy enough to sink into the sea...

What remained, however, was more then enough to show a Vastivan presence had been there.

[OOC: Excellent.]

The 12th Fast Battleship Squadron increased to maximum speed. There had not be much impetus to get to Call to power quickly before, but now the game was truely set and they had to act quickly if they were to act at all. Dumpsterdanian forces were preparing too, although they had much more to play for than this little Praetonian Squadron on the outskirts of patrolled waters. As the small band of destroyers and frigates, along with the small battleship and accompanying cruiser approached the target port, the guns and turrets turned to face the port.

The PWS Flumens Insular was key to the plan - the vessel whose mighty guns would boom out across the seas to break the defences of the port and smash the resolve of those soldiers who defended it. The landing force itself was small. There were no transports, no mighty landing craft or tanks. Just 256 men with small arms, anti tank missile launchers and portable SAMs. The fleet would win this battle, the Naval Guard would merely end it. Flying over the fleet were two VTOL aircraft and five SeaHorse helicopters, spotting any incoming fire or vessels on long range radar.

OOC: After much confusion, I intend to invade CTP anyway, so heres a completely, brand-spanking new post:

Onboard the Republican Carrier Republica

Organised confusion reigned inside the Command Post/Bridge of the Republica as the AMF and other allied fleets had been spotted moving towards Call To Power. Though the word had not been officially sent, the rumour-mills were spreading a single word; Invasion. Amongst the tens of thousands of sailors and soldiers in the First and Second this single word reigned above all else, and although they did not know it yet, the word was true. The Republic, tired of the constant aggressive actions of the government of Call To Power, had authorised the deployment of the Carrier Groups and the First Infantry Division to attack and invade Call To Power.

Inside the Bridge of the Republica, orders were soon being sent out to the Vanguard-Class Submarine Vengeance...

Just Outside Call To Power Territorial Waters, Onboard Republican Ohio-Class Submarine Vengeance

Inside the Bridge of the Vengeance, crewmen plotted the position of known Call To Power Air Defense Network targets, including Radar Positions, Airfields, SAM Missile and Patriot Battery Sites and Communication positions. As each target came onto the large screen in the middle of the Bridge, it was assigned two Tomahawk Missiles from the number carried by the Vengeance and stacked into a target list, ready for launch.

Soon over fifty targets and one hundred of the powerful missiles had been targeted, aimed and armed. At the reciept of a tranmission from the Republica and confirmation by the Captain and XO, the two men turned to a console and confirmed the launch order. Seconds later the entire Submarine was filled with the furious roar of the first wave of missiles launching and heading towards their targets, skimming the waves and eventually land until they popped up briefly over their targets before detonating...

As the waves of Tomahawks were launching, onboard the Republica and the Combat Transports, Blackhawk and Osprey Helicopters were loading their human cargos of Marines from the First Marine Assault Battalion and awaiting orders to launch. As soon as the missiles hit and the following Fighter-Bomber barrage cleared the Landing-Zones for the choppers, the first Company, some 250 strong, would launch in the Ospreys and Blackhawks and skim the waves until landing on the beach selected, accompanied by Apache Gunships and Harrier VTOL's to provide close-fire support in the landing grounds...

<185 nm from CTP coastline>

With a pop and a loud whoosh, the first missile of the strike was launched. It carried no explosive warhead, no chemicals other than fuel, and no biological agents. It was a Screamer, one of the few McLeodian non-lethal missiles that had proved effective in causing massive confusion amongst lower-technology forces. Vampire Flight-Fifteen flight launched twelve Screamers each at Call to Power. The low radar cross-section given from the slim-line cruise missiles, shaped roughly like a surfboard with an engine mounted underneath, meant that tracking them at range would be nigh on impossible. After the missiles had accelerated away from the bomber group, they began a slow arc that would take them along the coast of CTP. It was then that their true strength was revealled. As one, the missiles activated powerful false-return arrays that flooded radar screens with thousands and thousands of targets, the majority of which were false. Where once there had appeared to be no aircraft at all, it would now seem that an enormous strike group was heading for Call To Power, from a completely different direction to the 'real' flight.

With the Screamers fired, two more flights fired the next wave of missiles, a total of 1,344 Python high speed anti-radiation missiles, a modern upgrade of the old HARM missile, tore through the sky, tracking any radar and SAM systems engaging allied forces anywhere along most of the Call To Power coastline. Capable of top speeds in excess of Mach 5, the Python also had the ability to loiter in areas where SAM sites were active, and engage any radars that came online anywhen in the next half an hour.

Finally, the remaining Vampires launched their own missiles. More than four-thousand Wolverine cruise missiles were slowly cycled out of rotary launchers, streaking off towards their targets. Unlike usual more conventional mission payloads, these Wolverines were armed for one thing. The utter immolation of any CTP defense sites still active. Be they airbases, army barracks, bunkers, command facilites, munitions or supply depots, even reservist buildings in cities, they were all targetted alike. The standard three muntiinos bays were instead filled with a high pressure fuel delivery system that would spray highly-flammable liquid fuel over a wide area before the warhead detonated, creating a huge fireball, easily capable of levelling six or seven city blocks in one strike. The fuel-air-explosive warheads were without a doubt, the most devastating weapon carried by the Royal Air Force, and right now, thousands of them were streaking towards targets inside CTP itself, paving the way for a massive ground invasion.

"Sir forces have just began striking air defences in our borders"

"where did they come from?"

"AMF ships sir"

the General stood there for a moment pondering his next move
"hit back with all our archer and battle axe missiles then send in all aircraft in a suicide mission"

"sir?"

"waste my time soldier and I will have you shot!"

moments later

500 BGM-6 Battleaxe cruise missiles (in anti ship mode) and 25 conventional archers fly towards the fleet whilst 15 napalm archers head towards AMF ports

later moments later

10 Tu-95‘s, 50 Su-25’s, 100 A-4X Skyhawk IIs 45 A-17 War hawk IIs 12 A-36B Mustangs 30 F/B-4 Phantom III Fighter Bombers 10 F/B-8 Spartan Fighter Bombers 40 B-69 SkyMaster Bombers 20 F/A-117X Nighthawks 96 F-27 Haste Stealth Fighters 200 F-31X Cyclone Interceptors 66 F-14's and 1 Naram-Sin fly towards the fleet armed to the teeth prepared to die for there nation

With that, the McLeodians surged forwards to engage the newcomers, just as their missile swould be reaching their targets inside Call To Power and detonating, hopefully flattening half the country. The EB-1Cs struck first, firing off more than eight-hundred long-range hypersonic Anaconda missiles at the CTP aircraft, each accelerating on a column of white fire to more than Mach 6, where their velocity alone would demolish a bomber, before their hundred-pound thermium nitrate warhead detonated. Behind the Anacondas, hundreds of StealthHawks moved into atttack formation, the drones cycling and arming their missiles and cannon, ready to engage any CTP aircraft foolish enoguh to turn towards them instead of running away. Following them were the Wolfcats, running completely clean, with no external stores and no emissions, they were pretty much impossible to detect without extremely high-tech radar systems, which from the looks of it, CTP didn't possess.

<Aboard Dragon Two-One>

"GAMBLE, GAMBLE, GAMBLE. Ballistic launch detected. All Dragons, clear to engage" blared the comm-system as obritting satellites and the advanced ABM sensors on them detected the ballistic launch heading towards them.

Dragon Two one was the closest to the launch, taking place at the extreme range of the COIL turret, and inside range of the Lancelot missiles carried on external hardpoints.

"Commit Lancelot, target Gamble" said the weapons officer calmly, as if ordering his lunch or speaking to his wife back home.

A feminine voice filled the cockpit. "Commit Lancelot target Gamble. Warning, launch commit Lancelot... stop attack". After a moments silence, two huge Lancelot missiles shot forwards off their hardpoints, accelerating and climbing rapidly towards their target more than a hundred miles away. the huge missiles, modifications of the old Phoenix AAM, were fitted with small plasma warheads, designed specifically to work in high altitude as anti-ballistic missile warheads. by rapidly heating tritium and other compounds, they could spark off a plasma cloud almost two hundred yards in diameter, which could instantly destroy an ICBM in less than a millisecond.

Seemingly ignored by Call to Power shore defences, the Praetonian Battleship Squadron slipped sleekly into position 15 miles from the designated port. The battleship herself was of Schranhorst lineage, mounting 9x 11" ETC Naval Cannon and a considerable secondary armament of lighter guns and missiles.

"Sir!" Said a Lieutenant who had just walked onto the bridge, snapping to attention, "Message from the guns: They have ranged on the port and it is in their sights. Do they give fire?"

The Admiral appeared to ignore the man at first, staring out towards the port beyond with his telescope. He couldn't see much. He lowered his telescope but continued staring, as if in contemplation. This mission could go horribly wrong, or it could be a glorious victory. He could see how he would be hailed in Praeton if he took an enemy port with just 256 men, but he could equally see his ship sinking into the grey seas, wracked by enemy fire.

"Open fire," he said simply. There was silence for several minutes as the gunners finished their ranging calculations and slight modifications for their aim and then, all of a sudden, the whole world seemed to jolt backwards. Nine massive plumes of smoke rose from the raised guns. The shockwave caused by the charge pushed the water aside for a hundred metres, leaving a bizzare hemispherical dip in the very surface of the ocean. As the first shells could be heard impacting and exploding, the secondary armament of 6" guns also opened fire, this time with rocket-assisted projectiles to make up the range.

Onboard Carrier Republica

As news of the Tomahawk strikes began to filter into the Command Centre of the Republica, the results were noted and displayed on the relevant boards and displays, but there was no cheering, no spontaneous celebration of a successful strike; this was not a war that was wanted by any means, and as such there was no real enthusiasm in the crew. This, however, did not mean that they would not do their duties to the fullest extent of their capabilities, merely that they would not enjoy them.

The Call To Power response to the Allied missile strikes was not long in coming, and the large formations of CTP aircraft soon registered on the RADAR displays around the Republican Fleet. In response, the Republica and the Avenger launched several squadrons of fighters to engage the lare number of enemy aircraft; more than sixty fighters, FA/18s, were launched on an intercept course with the enemy aircraft. As soon as they were within maximum missile range, the pilots of the Republican aircraft launched their Air-To-Air missiles towards the large formation and then increased speed to engage in a dogfight with the remaining CTP aircraft...

Onboard the Republica

The Tomahawks had been tracked to their targets, and as soon as their detonations had been recorded and confirmed, the official word was sent out to the invasion forces gathered in the Blackhawk and Osprey Helicopters. As soon as the last of the Marines were safely ensconced in their transports the first wave of attackers would be launched.

The plan for this operation was relatively simple; land the Battalion and take a small piece of territory, no more than a few square miles, to make room for a Republican Military Base in Call To Power.

Exactly one hour later the first groups of Blackhawks and Ospreys took off from the Republica and the Assault Transports heading for the gaps in the Call To Power Air Defense Network created by the Tomahawk strikes. More than fifty helicopters carrying the First Battalion, First Marine Infantry Division lifted off and moved briefly upwards before swiftly hugging the water, the waves skimming mere metres below the open doors of the Helicopters. The assault wave was preceded by more than eighty FA18s and Harrier VTOL Jumpjets who launched a devestating bombardment of the Landing Zones (LZ) of the first wave.

Onboard one of the first Blackhawks was Timothy Yane, a Private First Class in 2nd Company, 1st Battalion, which was to be the first company to hit the Landing Zones, and as such would be among the first Republican troops to land on Call To Power territory. However, at that moment Yane was not considering what a historic and dubious honour this would be. He was more concerned with checking that the safety of his M-16 was off and ready to fire, that his Helmets chin strap was safely around his chin, and most importantly that he didn't fall out of the rapidly moving helicopter. Satisfied that all three weren't an issue anymore, Yane looked up and around the interior of the helicopter. The rest of his squad were there, doing the same as he was or just sitting and waiting for the inevitable firefight that would occur as they hit the LZ. Yane checked his rifle again out of sheer compulsion, and then just sat and waited as the helicopter screamed low over the water.
In the near distance he could hear the sounds of explosions and jet engines screeching, as well as the steady dull thump of anti-aircraft fire before the sounds suddenly got much louder and the Blackhawk flared for a rough combat landing. Suddenly there were explosions all around Yane, and he could feel the heat from them, as well as the pattering of bullets hitting the helicopter before the Blackhawk hit the ground and the Crew Chief began screaming for the troopers to jump out. Without time for even a short prayer Yane jumped out of the helicopter into Hell...

The CNS Valley Forge, a titanic vessel in her own right, was only a single ship amoung many in an inky night as Colonial Taskforce 49 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8837789&postcount=49) slipped through the blue ocean currents to Call To Power.

Thier goal was simple - CTP was going to be overrun by AMF, there was no question about it. The diplomats would never say as much, but those more blunt about such matters knew it was the only possible outcome. How could one lone nation, let alone a nation as small as CTP stand against the might of AMF? The Sentinals, the dreadnaughts, the onslaught of unmatched ferocity? It was impossible. That was why Colonial Taskforce 49 was en route - not to stand with CTP in thier fight, for that would be suicide, but to evacuate as much of the civilian population as possible. There were 500 unarmed transports in the middle of the formation that was the taskforce, and on thier decks, they could ferry 1.25 million citizens of CTP to the safety of Colonial shores.

Tales of rape and torture and destruction by AMF Sentinals were commonly told in the Democratic Colonies, and despite the mistakes of the Government of CTP, no one wanted to see the citizens of CTP suffer such a horrible fate as occupation by Sentinals. Such a fate for the women and children of the nation, despite its mistakes, would be something of horror that had to be avoided if at all possible.

The CNS Valley Forge was the command vessel for the taskforce, a massive tri-hulled shape that cut a graceful form against the night sky and cut through sea waves like a blade through air. She was elegant, some would say even beautiful for an aircraft carrier. Her bridge was in a hushed state of activity as she, and the taskforce around her, made thier way towards CTP.

The evacuation operation was public knowledge, with nothing being kept secret, but even so, it was unknown how the nations attacking CTP would react to the effort. Transmissions detailing the neutrality of the taskforce, and thier humanitarian intentions were broadcast openly as CTP drew nearer and nearer.

All Kazakhstanian Forces in Call to Power heard the order to retreat. New interlliegence had arrived that yet more nations had joined the invasion force, and nothing could stop that many aircraft and men.

3rd Army turned round and headed home, away from certain destruction. The Paratrooper Division loaded in it's trucks and started driving, as far as the fuel tanks would take them. They intented to drive around 300 miles backwards, away from the beaches, and get on their aircraft for the trip home.

3rd Army just got on their ships, on the other side of the country from the invasion force, and headed off home.

It looked like CTP wasn't going to last very long, without Kazkahstanian support. Various Special Forces unit's stayed behind, though, without insignia's and with unmarked AK-47's, RPD's, SVD's and various 60-81mm Mortars. That would be the only help CTP would receive.

Republican Carrier Republica

It was with a curious mixture of tension and relief that the Democratic Colonies fleet was seen by the Republican Fleet. The message that stated the fleet was on a mission of mercy to evacuate citizens from Call To Power had been recorded and examined by specialists onboard the Republica, and had come to the conclusion that the misson of mercy was in fact a reality.

As such, it presented something of a quandry to the Republican Fleet. They were at war with Call To Power and had launched a limited invasion of that country. As such, any vessels that were not allied to the Republic technically could be seen as enemies or allies of Call To Power. On the other hand, no-one wanted to attack a neutral country that was commiting a decent and humanitarian act, one that many throughout the Republican Fleet sympathised with.

Therefore, the following message was created, agreed on and broadcast to the Democratic Colonies Fleet:

Attention Democratic Colonies Humanitarian Fleet. We have recieved your transmissions and, though this Republic is at war with the nationstate of Call To Power, we respect your neutrality and appreciate the Humanitarian efforts that your people are conducting. As such we shall regard your entire fleet as a neutral entity. We shall not approach it or engage it in any way unless we are specifically fired upon by any of your vessels or an offensive action is commited. We are transmitting the coordinates of a safe passage past the Republican Fleet, and we wish you the best of luck in your mission.

Above International Waters, 800km from Call of Power
1317 Omzian Central Time

Uneasily, Lieutenant Jorges softly applied pressure on one of the clusters of buttons n the touch screen, as graphics of different sizes and amptitutes appeared in his sight and went, as if they were all following a stream. On another screen, seemingly large formations of bird-like icons slowly sweeped along, with a line representing a land mass, not so far away. Outside of his window, it was all quiet, with the exception of a continuous streams of radio calls, and the presence of tens - or even hundreds to a thousand - of bombers, the sky around him literally being a swimming pool of aircraft. A glimpse of moonlight shined into the dark cockpit of his as stars suspended themselves around him, clouds and landmass nowhere to be seen at an altitude of more than sixty feet.

Though the situation was by every means tense and worrying for the lieutenant, Jorges normally still kept some hints of humour. However, this time it is the exception - haven't seen sunlight for over twelve hours, the effects of the timezone began the catch-up onto his body and mind. There was a sign of depression and dullnesss, and even with tens or hundreds of assurances of safety, the sight of a flashing bulb indicating a missile launch, or the occasional puff of smoke from anti-aircraft gun projectiles, were already sinking him into a state of nervousness. However, for all he knew, there would be no patience nor time for a coward when he gets back to his base, so he patiently yet cautiously operated the systems on the aircraft... before one message flashed on one of the large touchscreens, received from a secure satellite uplink from the emptiness above.

All bomber raids are to cancel current mission objectives regarding the launch of weapons systems against targets in Call to Power, it read, while maintaining waypoint profiles and firing data at ready. Continue to approach waypoints at 5 to 20km from Call to Power territorial boundaries, and then follow newly assigned waypoints and routes away from Call to Power, and back to refuel points. Maintain defencive and offencive systems at ready. Do not initate firing sequences, until (A) until further notice; or (B) when any Omzian aircraft is locked on by Call to Power radar systems; or (C) when any Omzian aircraft is engaged by Call to Power air defence sites and interceptors, whether by the use of lethal force or electronic countermeasures.

=====================

To: Call to Power Headquarters
From: Omzian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Omzian Air Force Strategic Command Headquarters

As we are both surprised and interested by the recent plea by Call to Power, there is still much hesitation and reluctance among both commanders and government personnels of the Omzian military adn government, as the entire nation of the Omzian Republic does indeed feel threatened by the reckless threats issued by the Call to Power. However, upon further reviews, the Omzian commanders has decided to temporarily cancel the current missions of the bombers, though the bombers will continue to proceed to unspecified locations just outside of Call to Power territorial boundaries, near the capital city.

As these bombers will continue to stay alert for any possible Call of Power attacks, we feel it is necessary to demand that Call of Power agrees to two initial terms:

(a) The government, military, and other organizations and factions within Call to Power, no matter whether they are state, military, or civilian-sponsered, much abandon all further planning or desires to attack the nation of Hogsweat. It much discountinue all operations that are aimed to attack Hogsweat. Furthermore, unless Hogsweat takes further action and invades Call to Power via sea and land, Call to Power may not take any against any and all assets of Hogsweat in the air, in the sea, and on the ground, civilian or military. This is unconditional.

(b) As the threatening of a team of Omzian diplomats - including the Omzian Foreign Minister - with lethal force is a serious affair, the Omzian government, along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs himself, demands that the military and government leaders of Call to Power issues a formal apology. The Call to Power authorities also must, as reparation for the damages done by the threats, to pay a total of $120 billion United States Dollars, wired to the account of the Omzian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to repair the damages being done by the threats from CTP, and the astronomical costs that were needed to initate the bombing operation against Call to Power. This is unconditional, with the exception of the reparations, in which it can be negotiated.

We wish for an reply within a timeframe of eight-hours (NS), in which Call to Power must reply in agreement or with a request for change in regards to the reparations. Failure to reply in this timeframe will result in the resuming of the bombing operations against Call to Power's military, leadership, and industrial targets, though we will exert much effort to avoid ending the lives of Call to Power civilians, or to strike against locations such as religious locations, law enforcement and fire fighting facilities, residental districts, museums, sites of Call to Power's heritage and history, or natural forests and parks.

The Admiral put his telescope to his eye once again, and saw a flash on the horizon of an 11" shell. Just after, he saw a further two flashes. Tanks? And this was just the first shot. The rest of the fleet was lending its gunfire now, with the 4.5" guns of the Jupiter Class Frigates and 6" guns of the Praefele Class Destroyers mingling with the vicious tirade of 11" shells which were now being fired at a rate of several rounds per minute. There was enough HE combined to sink a battleship. The Brydog plane was still in Brydog - it would be hours before it arrived - plenty of time to anihilate Brydog forces in the port. If they even knew Brydog forces were there at all. Meanwhile, Praetonian satellites were scanning the area for enemy movements, well above the repeated flashes of heavy guns.

To: AMF, other nations attacking CTP

Throwing your weight around a bit, AMF?
Well, it seems that you can no longer content yourself with legitimate wars against capable enemies, you must select the small and weak nations for your fun. This suggests that AMFs weight is no longer constituted of muscle.
This trend of annexing the new nations is growing out of proportion and really should be put to a stop, and this is the ideal place.
Nip the bud, as it were.
Thus, we deliver this in response to your CTP ultimatum:
Cease any attacks against CTP
Withdraw your forces
Do not harm any CTP civilians, military personel or public/rpivate property
Pay (in full) reparations for the damages caused to CTP over the duration of this conflict

If you do not, there will be...unpleasantness between our nations. You are aware of what unpleasantness can result in, because we know that you are often on the giving end of it.
It is true, often it is better to give than receive.
This has been a maxim of the DGNT military for some time.

Republican Destroyer O'Brian

The O'Brian had been detatched along with the Cruiser Havana when the Republican Fleet had first arrived in the area to the Port that the Praetonian forces were attempting to land in and capture. For the past few days the two ships had been at anchor, supervising the launch of Tomahawks against Call To Power targets and awaiting orders to aid the Praetonian forces in invading and holding the Port.

Captain Havers was on the foredeck of the O'Brian when a sailor ran out from the Bridge and handed him a message flimsy. Havers took the flimsy and quickly read it through:

Attention O'Brian. Proceed with Havana to position of Praetonian naval forces and aid those forces in the bombardment of the Port area. Use all force short of Nuclear Arsenal to aid Allied Forces in taking the area.

Havers screwed up the flimsy and moved quickly back to the Bridge. Once there he issued orders to both the crew of the O'Brian and the Havana to engage their main batteries and target the enemy forces holding the Port area. Within seconds the main batteries of both powerful vessels turned, elevated and fired, flames gouting out of the muzzles and sending dozens of shells every few seconds towards the enemy forces...
