Pacitalia

Today, May 6, is my first NS birthday. Praise the lord I'm still around.
Not much to say, as I never really do have much to say - but thanks to Sarzonia, Euroslavia and Hamptonshire for helping me become better at certain aspects of the game and carrying me along so that I could become a somewhat important force in the NS world. You three mean a lot. Of course, there are numerous others who have helped, and thanks to them too.
However, something you don't know is the history of Pacitalia.
In 1997, I was a young, impressionable 9-year-old with nothing to do, so I created "Timocasa", which is obviously a molded together, bastardised Spanish version of "Tim's house" (Tim being my name for those of you who don't know). That was the start of my nation's life, as a primitive little nation which was actually RL Belize. Timiocato was the capital (and always has been), and the population was around 10 million. I had fun fooling around with that, posting to myself and the like.
Then in 1998, I was tired of the whole Spanish thing. I felt that maybe because every other country in the Americas (except Canada and Brazil) had substantial Spanish populations, I should try a different angle. I didn't want to change that much about my country, so I decided a switch to Italian would do the trick. But it was closer to the Pacific Ocean than Italy was. Hmm, what to name, what to name? I created Pacitalia that year and also felt that Belize was now a little too small for my tastes, so I took up southern Mexico as my new home.
I continued on that for a couple of years, and by late 2002 I created the Nations of Peace and Humanity with a few nations (among them, Iostata, Mangoia and Moepoeia, nations you see/have seen around NS, the first two now defunct). In fact, that means that in a roleplay game Moepoeia and I have been allies the longest out of any of mine, although she wasn't my first.
Then in early 2004, my friend's brother told me about this site. Arandorion was his nation and he said I would like it. So on May 6th, 2004, I finally, with NPH dead, moved my nation to NS and haven't looked back since.
It has been an extremely fun ride and I have been proud to know that Pacitalia has existed for such a long time.
To the rest of you, I hope to see you around for a very long time. Each of us brings our own special ingenuity and imagination to the game and it seems like now that NS has existed for so long, it just would lack the continual fun that it brings with everyone here.
Thanks for reading.
