The Combine of Xen

On a rather large planet filled with ape like people who never fought any real wars and it almost was a perfect place. But there wouldnt be much of a story if it stayed peaceful. Researchers were developing ways to move into new dimesions for exploration reasons but they went to far and attracted something. Something bad...
As the ape people walked threw town and lived there happy lives things were coming to light. Small earthquakes had hit but they were nothing. But today was diffrent. It was a massive earthquake causing buildings to shake and the ground to rip apart. And then in the middle of the city a large citidal arised out toweering the city and casting it into a shadow. The ape people ran as the military started to come. They made a blockade and slowly moved torwards the tower. A new recruit named Melensks was nervous andscared. his group had been ordered to check it out. it was small and only about 32 people. They stopped at the door like thing of the citdal opened.
3 larged things with long legs. They looked at the Ape man. Melensks was struck with fear as everyone else. The striders started to charge up something. Melensks looked in horror " RU-" was all he had time to say before the whole group was consumed by a light that killed them ripping them apart. They didnt feel pain. Hell some didnt know they were turned into gas. And then the combine invaded....
It was the same story all over the world. citdals would pop up and decmaite the army. The Combine infantry would then take out all other restiance and estabalish a base in the city. Withen a week the combine had the planet under The Combines control. The ape people had no chance. not a chance....
