Nation ages classes

This is kind of a random guide on how I place peopel according to their ages and how they RP. There's a basic guide and an expanded one.

Child: Very small, hardly capable of policing itself. (5-10 mil)

Small: Bigger than a child, military and heavily structured goverment just starting to form or has formed. (11-20 mil)

Toddler: Nations who should around this time be trying to get their voice out and their opinion. Military and goverment still forming to an extent. Navy an air force just started. (21-55)

Preteen: Nations who are astarting to get their love of their people out. Culture and economy should be growing around this time. (56-100)

Teenager: Nations who have sharpened their ideas and their military is strong. United States in its current condition would fall in this category. Ready to become involved with alliances and help out their friend nations. (101-500)

Older Teen: Nations who are bigger than Teen nations, but smaller than Adults. Nuclear programs and capabilities by this time are probably closing in on what they'll be at. Strong air force and navy. (501-999)

Adult: 1 billion+ nations that are the core of NationStates. Very powerful and large, and their voice is heard above all. Very massive and very powerful. High nuclear and WMD capabilities. (1 bil-4.9 bil)

Old: Huge nations that are bigger than Adults. Their power and might is feared like no other. Highly respected and not questioned most of the time. (5 bil+)
-----------
Special cases:

Nuclear Child: Small-toddler nations that have nuclear capabilities, either donated by a larger nation or left over from its parent nation. (Ex:Feline Catfish)

Failing teen: Preteen-Older Teen nations that are slowly decaying and are on the verge of a revolution

Space Child: Child-Toddler Space Nations. Very small and weak but capable of becoming great when it hits Teen and Adult.

Space Kid: Pre- to Old- Teen nations that are Future Tech. They can either have power or not really care about the space around them. Usually from Sapace Child.

Space Nation: Adult future-Tech nation (Ex: Chronosia)

Space God: Old FT nation

Combo Nation: Any nation that RPs in both MT and FT, whetehr they be connected or seperate for the RPs. (ex: Green Sun)

Then there are those taking the advanced classes (Nations with one size and another voice like say one thats ready to become involved with alliances and help out their friend nations, but hasn't grown much in other areas.)

That's just a general description. Green Sun would fall into that category, we expressed our voice at the Child stage.

Updated with the FT and Nuclear sections.

That would make me a space kid. I guess it's time to make a factbook and make my voice heard in galactical politics.

I would count as an adult nation, except no one hears my voice.

It seems a little patronising to call small nations "children" (like has happened to Feline Catfish.) for all you know the player behind that nation could be a nuclear physicist or an aerospace engineer or something. I also dont see why a 6 - 11m nation cant have a proper government...

But this is an ok sort of guide-thing I suppose.

eh, personally I disagree on all points, given that it's freeform RP. I don't see why a nation should be constricted in its governance/capability/focus just because it hasn't been around for as long as some of us. (I'm hardly the oldest nation around any more, a measly 2.7 bn.... once I thought that was so large... :D )

I mean Jordaxia (MT) was always a naval nation, first and foremost, it had virtually no army, and the airforce eventually became an extension of the naval air arm. Jordaxia (FT) is deliberately constrained with a floundering economy, primitive technology, poorly equipped navy, and a beginning army. It's geographically tiny, even though my population, apparently mandates that I have to be "huge".

As for "economy"... *shudder* in my opinion, economy calculators were the worst thing to happen to this game. They might have been started with good intentions, but they turned into something horrible.

(I may have taken this in the wrong context, but assuming I haven't missed the point any, this is my view.)

Do note that this is just how I classify nations. They may not fall perfectly into these catgories, but they can still fit in there. And I don't care what they are in the real world, that doesn't matter in the forums.
