Right, since all the chatter in the Operation Spring thread was seeming to get on a few people's nerves, I was asked to make this, so here you go!

Post all your OOC comments and questions to people that are just chatter, or could pertain to the situation, but not the battle.

Hopefully all of the FC involved people will use this, as should FC himself so he can answer questions about his country and such. This shouldn't just be considered one of the random threads that has been started, if it is, then someone else will make one too, and everything will break down again.

Scotia, you are right, Call to Power needs to wait for the response to his troops on Feline Catfish before reacting to nothing, but he does have the right to say he's at least made a little headway into the island, as FC has not said anything, otherwise, he would just be all prudish and not say anything the entire time, luckily, and hopefully, he will post soon.

My fleet happens to be very valiently fighting with Coreworld's right now, so calm down, you have allies, and so does Feline Catfish, sure not all of them showed up, but you can't expect everything to be perfect.

"Bitchfest" can hardly even be considered cursing. It's turned into a common usage term for an RP that contains more OOC fighting than IC RPing. In other words, it's exactly what the problem is here. As for the "bullshit," it's a lot quicker to type than "what you're doing is impossible and won't be accepted," and means exactly the same thing.

At any rate, not all of us are fortunate enough that we can respond to this thread every thirty minutes. CtP, as a courteous RPer, ought to recognize this and allow FC to respond to his initial landing before claiming that he has advanced.

It is the problem, but one that can be solved if you all post here instead of "bitchfesting" all over the war thread.

You, as a courteous RPer, should calming remind Call to Power of this, instead of going "Oh, man, wtf are you doing? Let FC reply, you dumbass!'

He, then in turn, will say "Oh yeah. well yer a godmoder!"

You: "No, you're the godmoder!!!"

Thus whats happening. :D

I think there's a case of mistaken identity. I've made two posts regarding this issue, both of them are in this thread. My frustration is due mostly to the fact that I have limited time in my schedule for RPing, and would much prefer it if I didn't have to spend it wading through pages of OOC argument that will likely end either in CtP agreeing to restart the RP from the point at which troops landed, or in the entire war being retconned, in which case I've just wasted my time.

This is my request to CtP: For the sake of the RP, please restart your invasion from the point at which your troops hit the ground, and this time, wait for Feline Catfish to respond. He has an army of 50,000 men, and that's not even counting allied forces in the country (like my 2,000 in the capital that you ignored last time) so don't make the assumption that no post = no resistance.

Since AMF hasnt been posting in the Op. Spring thread (and has said himself) that as of now he is just observing and commenting OOCly on the proceedings.

What I'm doing and what I suggest many other people do: Ignore all of this. ignore the nukes, the attacks, and the water claims. That way we can just stop with all of this crap and we can continue working our RPs. Seriously, people, if we're going to have a world war, let's not have it revolved around ONE nation!

Well, WWI started with the assasination of the Archduke and should have been limited to Serbia and the A-HE but since Europe was embroiled in countless conflicting treaties with each other it turned into a world war. So in reality this is much like what would happen in the real world.

But that war became mostly focused on Germany and France. It was just an excuse to go to war, so although the war STARTED in Serbia, that's not really WHY it started.

That's what I've heard most about anyway, but that's not the point. Teh point is the fact Europe wanted to go to war for a while, Serbia was just the excuse.

As long as someone's trying to keep Feline Catfish from doing what he has every right in the world as a sovereign state to do, I'm glad to help him out. It's the other side's motivations that I don't really understand. ;)

Hmm, well, like I posted as a question in another thread, does every nation in the world NEED nuclear weapons? If so, why do you need them? FC had no real reason to have the nuclear weapons! Then he got them, and NOW he needs them. He should just hand them over, then the situation would be fine!

(Its past that now, the war has begun, its not going to stop just because he gives over the weapons. :p )

Not to mention in the thread where Hogsweat launched an air-strike against him he said he didnt have any army or navy... just an airforce. Okayyyy. And not to mention the fact that he supposedly has 800 F-14 fighters...

Some international relations theorists would argue that the answer to this question is yes. War is more common historically in eras when military technology favors the offensive side. Nuclear weapons, as a deterrent to attack, favor the defensive side. Food for thought. ;)

He could have gotten tons of deals and steals from alternative sources. I distinctly remember one storefront where you can buy your entire military in one vistit. Perhaps we should have the International Mall reopened?

I know that the Cold War would not have been so cold if both sides hadn't agreed to M.A.D., if the Soviet Union and the US hadn't had nuclear arms, we would have fought in a regular war, which would have been directly AFTER WWII, luckily, this didn't happen, so I know that some consider them great peace keeping devices...

Actually, I completely agree with lots of what the people on FC's side say, but I just don't believe he NEEDS the weapons, so they need to be taken from him before another country gets attacked.

It's easy to say that if he hadn't asked for them, he wouldn't have needed to defend himself against your coalition, but it's a lot harder to guarantee that he would never have needed to defend himself. He bought the weapons to prepare for that eventuality.

At any rate, the question of whether he needed them is fairly irrelevant. He has a right as a sovereign state to develop or purchase whatever weapons he wants.

I say we accept some newbies as 'Nuclear Newbs' that are fully capable of nuclear power.
