at the absolute minimum, eight individual low-tech 20 Kt nuclear weapons are capable of producing a level of destruction equal to a large thermonuclear weapon (475 Kt).

Guess those "puny" SLBMs will come in handy, eh? Those 8 20 kt nukes cause more damage than a single 1 mt nuke when firestorms, overpressure, et cetera are all figured in. (under optimal conditions. Damage can be less in hilly country, et cetera... just like a real nuke)

Please note that a 20 kiloton nuke is GREATLY less expensive to maintain and purchase. Now let's scale this ratio up shall we? What happens if we assume the same ratio of power to destruction for larger nukes? At that size, at minimum, eight 2 megaton bombs would do more damage than a 47.5 megaton bomb. Plus, the higher the tonnage, the less effect each ton has on the nuke's blast radius and/or damage ability. That's why a single seventy megaton nuke is less effecient than two 35 megaton nukes, and much less effecient than thirty-five 2 megaton nukes. Also, note that more smaller nukes can be more precisely aimed, and the destruction therefore placed as precise as a scalpal. War is controlled killing, not global apocalypse.

It's all about principle though, us "newbies" have been more active than alot of the veterans here. I'm sure my Nuclear Weapons program could have engineered the Nukes over a period of time but if you are going to sell the nukes, sell them. Sinical is also in the UN, this must mean something...

"Tiny" nations need these nukes more than huge ones. If they can afford to buy, I can't understand why one shouldn't sell them.
