OOC: Going to be FT and MT Tags are fine for now, but only force sensitives, or Pshycic people will be able to begin to realize the arrival of the Heartless.

IC:
The world became black, and dark, as the last of them fell in the galaxy. Eternal Darkness had come to this galaxy, and was just another victim to the Neo-Heartless, servants to the god Darkside. The Prophet stood his purple cloak covering his face and he watched the world become one with the darkness.

For the past human century, the Neo-Heartless had waged a war against the inhabitants of this galaxy, taking every planet with relative ease and turning them to darkness. With this last world, the galaxy had become one with the darkness, and it was another galaxy the Neo-Heartless could add to its list of sacrifices. What had happened here in the Domiqui galaxy had happened to dozens of others. The Neo-Heartless had yet to be stopped, and most likely never would stopped.

They served the god Darkside with their lives, their whole purpose to them in life, was to go from galaxy to galaxy and turning each to eternal darkness. Every planet would be used to add power to the world ships that would be used to transport to another galaxy. That was their essential lives, take planet, add to world ship, gather enough to jump to another galaxy, and repeat the process.

Suddenly a wush was heard, as a door opened and entered the High Summoner, the advisor to the Prophet. The Prophet was the only connection to the god, hence the reason he was the leader of the Neo-Heartless. Well technically, he was the leader of the Unknowns, the humans who had converted at the beginning to darkness, and who had served Darkside ever since. The Heartless however, were creatures of darkness, they were sent when called for by a Summoner to the realm in which the Summoner lay. The more experienced you became, the more you could summon, and develop.

You see, the heartless have no true form, only the form in which the Summoner calls them. They could be turned into anything guards, shadows, even massive fat grapplers and many more. They were truly the essential essence of darkness. The Prophet was rumored to be able to summon thousands.

“Lord Prophet, the last has fallen to our darkness, when ready we will make way to the next galaxy”

The Prophet said nothing, merely a hand motion, and it was enough to send shivers down the High-Summoner’s spine, “M’lord, I was just informing you-”

Another wave, ”Please Lord Prophet I have served you for many years…” But his plea did nothing. Already slowly on the ground tiny circles of blackness were forming, growing larger and taller, eventually forming into Heartless Acolytes. They were tall, muscular and carried long black swords, that when inserted instantly turned you to a heartless. Which was one of the most painful things ever, after all to loose your heart even if you were a servant to darkness...

But his pleas was of no use, black tentacles had grabbed the High-Summoner from the ground below where they had formed when the High-Summoner had been preoccupied with the Acolytes. The High-Summoner’s scream pierced the space itself, so loud it could be heard in other galaxies…

The Prophet turned silently as the former High-Summoner was taken into the realm of the heartless. He looked out into his view port as the fleet gathered. He had given the order to prepared for the massive jump. Every time over a hundred ships wouldn't survive the jump. That had been fixed however, and now no more then ten would suffer damages. The Core of the Heartless the massive flagship/worldship of the Neo-Heartless seem to watch it's "children" fly under the protection of it's wing.

The Prophet walked over to his throne, it was black as marble, and black spikes sat along the arch of the throne. He sat, and became one with the darkness. Visions he had seen from his past ran through his mind as he prepared for the revelation of where to next. This was however nothing more then a silly act. The Truth was there was no god, only the Prophet... who had a past that shall never be discussed. Suddenly three coordinates came into his head, the next galaxy to enter the long night.

He got up slowly, a little woozy, and walked over to the communication station, and entered the coordinates and several minutes the once feared armada was gone and had headed off for destiny.

The Jedi Masters have sensed a strange disturbance in the Force, a disturbance of darkness. The only ward of darkness is the shining of the light, but there are currently few with the power to shine the Light itself. One has fallen, the other is an infant, the third and fourth are hidden together in a planet where no darkness could touch...

The Emperor stood, smirking wryly; his mind alive with the flowing power of the darkness, a great destroyer and devourer; a power of unfathomable might; and now it came for them. He didn't know whether to embrace it or destroy it; but he knew for certain that it was coming; something dark, terrible, powerful....
And it stank of potential...

The Prophet watched in his usual spot, the fleet was in other space, not hyperspace, not a worm hole, not real space but other space. This was place in between and the only way to go between galaxies. It had been several standard days in transit, and the Prophet knew the place was close in universal standards. Another week and they would arrive.

Meanwhile he now had to pick a new High-Summoner, one who could perform his duties without question and not annoy the Prophet at the wrong times. He went over to the computer interface terminal in his throne room and dozens of small charts floated around him.

He read them carefully at first then skimming then the second time, taking in every single bit of information. Finally he made his choice, and tapped one of the holographic charts. The information on the Elite, a Summoner who has advanced very high in the Summoner caste and his name was Drak-Shan-Kar. He was perfect. He entered the commands for the High Summoner to report which he would do so at great haste, one did not keep the Prophet waiting.

Half Hour Standard Time Later
The young Summoner bowed before the dark and powerful Prophet. He wore the simple black cloak of the elite, and prayed his death was not upon him. He looked over the infamous throne, in which the Prophet had squeezed the hearts of his rivals and now he stood before it.

Suddenly the Prophet spoke, his voice like icy venom; "Fear... you feel it... I sense it"

Drak was surprised that the Prophet would even consider speaking to him but made no move to hide his feelings of fear, "Yes Lord Prophet, I fear for my life."

This produced a dark and sinister laugh from the Prophet; "Do not fear... fear is a weapon, a valuable weapon indeed... But that is not the reason I have summoned you... no I summon you to be named by new High-Summoner."

Drak barely moved, not out of respect, far from it. Instead he was frozen with shock, surely there were better Summoners, but it wasn't best for one's life to question the orders of the Prophet, "I live to serve you Prophet."

The evil laugh came again, this time it gave Drak the chills, "So you do... so you do.

Something was out of place, the Patriarchs and the Autogod felt it. A feeling of cold in a place of warmth, breathlessness in a cloud of air. They felt a sense of light pink*, the anticolor. Sensors on the edge of Sebecean space showed a large mass of objects heading into the Galaxy, and to enter from near the Sebecean Arm of the Galaxy, was a very rare occurance. In this new red** era for the Setians, evil was not feared, but not ignored. "War was at hand, take up the spear, grab thy honor and courage, Battle is near." [Sarion Iusi]

All Boarder station went to Alert One, Destroyers set traps, the Three Decimators*** were ready to jump in. The Patriarchs, The Autogod, and the Elect were read to stand their ground.

*Light Pink is a cursed color in Setian Mythology, for a hero saw the color before a battle, and ended up with a lung wound and he coughed up pink foamy blood.
**Red is a color of well being because in is the color of O2 rich blood

Several Days Later
The Prophet and the High Summoner watched from the Prophet's view port and overlooked the now exited fleet. Mere minutes ago, the fleet had exited hyperspace and the Prophet overlooked his grand armada, "It is time to introduce ourselves... send a 'committee' out to greet the new galaxy, same tactic as always."

The High-Summoner, now quite confident in his new position answered, "As you command Lord Prophet" The High-Summoner left the grand throne room, and arrived at the bridge of Core of The Heartless. There the entire crew stopped and bowed on one knee, "What is it you request High-Summoner?" the *Chief Controller asked.

"Begin the welcoming tactic, open fire on the Eternity"

"Shall they be informed?"

"No let them feel the honor by surprise"

"Yes High-Summoner"

The Massive ship shuddered as it brought a little of it's massive firepower onto the smallest ship in the fleet, a Darkness Class Carrier. It had been converted to carrier Summoners instead of large amounts of fighters. The Gravity Cannons collided with the armor of the Carrier, and massive dents appeared everywhere, some even ripping apart or hitting some critical system and exploding. At the end of the bombardment, fire ships sprayed the area to get rid of fires, and the ship was notified of what just happened. Replacements were sent to help manage the ship better, as well as prepare for the tactic.

The Ship entered what the galaxians of this galaxy called Hyperspace, and what the Heartless called dark space and soon three hours later exited it... appearing to be a massive debris transmitting the easily decoded message.

The Prophet hadn't budged from his spot at the View Port when the High Summoner returned. Drak (HS's name said previously) wondered if the Prophet ever left the throne room. He decided it'd be best if he didn't think about that, but he arrived next to the Prophet, and he waited for the Prophet to address him. He waited several minutes, "Ah Drak you return... good once our trap is sprung you will lead the Pre-force."

"Lord Prophet, when you say it, it shall be done." But what Drak said in his mind was, Why would he send me, no High-Summoner has ever led the pre-force.

"Good you may pick an average sized fleet, do not fail me Summoner."

"As I said before Lord Prophet, it shall be done." Drak turned and left the throne room, leaving the Prophet alone, "Oh but it shall not be done... oh no it won't."

A pink and blue wormhole ripped through space, an IOS recon fleet flew into the sector. The onemind had directed them here.

The fleet was small, a cruiser and three destroyers, but its discipline was impeccable. Commandmind Adawynn Talisker looked out at the fleet.

[i]Begin scanning, I want to know what species this was, and who killed them.[i]

A chorus of various forms of acknowledgement came back.

Fighters shot out from the small fleet, and several sensor probes fired away. The fleet moved quickly towards the debris cloud, a stab of fear ran through all of them. The onemind remembered this. The onemind had seen these ships before.

Moments later, a massive freighter appeared. It dumped its tritium and uranium cargo, quite valuable, and began pulling the hulk in delicately. Diplomatic selves were sent out to the various nations nearby...

"They come...again" one of them whispered, as they were pulled into one of the ships. As they landed in the hangar bay, suddenly a massive door in the ship opened, and nothing could be seen but darkness, then suddenly footsteps were heard, more and more. Then they came, the Summoners, seeing real action for the first time in a month, they were eager for the hearts of those aboard the ship. "Let them come", and they raised their hands and throughout the hangar bay of the flagship of the recon fleet, small black circles appeared, they grew larger and larger till they appeared, the simplest form of the heartless... the shadows.

They could be considered cute by some standards, though that would all change very quickly. The Summoners drew their different colors swords of different shape. They were hard, and powerful, and could easily take a limb or two, "Go heartless, steal the hearts of those who dare resist".

A loud cry went up, that pierced the hangar as the heartless surged forward jumping onto crew members, and overwhelming them, double teaming even triple teaming them. The piercing cry of those who were loosing their hearts only satisfied the Summoners, "Allow us to introduce ourselves, we are the heartless and all your hearts are ours!"

The crew-drones fough back, knowing no fear. Foot-long claw blades snapped out of their wrists, and the creatures rushed the heartless. Hordes of them came. Normal crew-drones, the size of an average human, attempted to cut the heartless to peices, Huge, hulking, lifter-drones, strong enough to carry tonnes, attempted to smash the heartless, their great, apelike fists smashing down amidst them. There were far more heartless than there were drones, but still, the drones fought on.

Far to the other side of the hangar, a lone crewdrone attempted to vent the cargo bay to space...

A small Scine Orbiter Probe flitted up through space, leaving the protection of the EMP and Magnet-O-Tron shields surrounding the small asteroid-based facility orbiting Gravel 9. As it neared the main ship of the fleet, it began unfolding and rearranging itself, eventually coming out as what looked like a transmitting beacon. A message patched its way into the moniters of the ship's bridge.

The Drones for some reason wouldn't convert to a heartless, instead they just died. The heartless seemed confused at first, but the confusion shattered as the Summoners barked for them to fight on. The lead Summoner on the assault, spotted the drone attemping to open to cargo bay door.
"I'd rather think not", he took aim and threw one of his two blades straight at the drone. He also summoned up dark energy, and using it focused it into a black lightning and shot it at the control panel. It connected shattering the panel. One of the Summoners had been hurt fighting off several drones but the elite combat moves of the Summoners held off any drone that made it past the heartless horde.

An old enemy of ours wiped out a colony of ours in a separate galaxy, some 600 years ago. Their intent, as far as we could tell, was to conquer that entire galaxy.

Two hours ago, wreckage from one of their vessels was found in one of the outermost systems of this galaxy. It was a Trojan Horse of sorts, and our troops are fighting for control of the cargo-carrier that took the wreckage on-board.

Their presence in this galaxy can mean only one of two things: That this invasive race has been defeated in the galaxy from which they are coming, or that they successfully conquered it, and are attempting to invade this one as well. We are sending recordings of their ships.

The resources of an entire galaxy may soon be brought to bear against our ships and planets. We advise that you give up old rivalries, and contact your allies and enemies. If we present this enemy with a united front, we should be able to defeat them. The tactics our fleets used last time proved effective against their starships, and will be effective again. We've begun modifying our current destroyers, to variants designed specifically for this threat.

This species, that call themselves “The Heartless” will attempt to take this region of the galaxy as a foothold, and pretense to future invasions. If you do not aid us in defending this region, they will come for you. Their ships are numerous, and will overwhelm you with sheer numbers if you do not band together with us.

Will you aid us, and thereby, yourselves?

We will agree to help you, though we are slightly spread out in forces, the majority fighting another threat to the galaxy. However, we will send nine ships to assist you. Do not take this small number lightly, however. These nine ships are no laughing matter. Eight of them are Gravort Dectructo Delta-Class Battleships, loaded with 200 Jyne Starrunners, 12,000 droids, and seveal other units each, the other is the final version of the Hyperion Gamma-Class Starcruiser, which we have just completed as of last month.

Three Marine combat carriers came through wormholes and attached themselves to the sides of the frieghter. They began disgorging their compliments of marines. Once the thousand-man groups had assembled, the upper levels of the cargo hold began raining energy blasts down on the heartless and their controllers. A small group of fifty marines was inserted near the bridge of the vessel, they hauled the captain to he escape pods, getting him off the ship. The marine frigates detatched, their controlling minds staying as far away from the heartless as possible.

The Summoner sensed the leaving of the onemind and instantly smiled, Already they fear us. The Summoner fought for several more minutes before two of then fifteen fell then another three fell, and more and more heartless fell but they continued to fight on, the glory of pleasing Darkside filled their diluted minds. The Summoner flipped, and dodged as they fought like caged animals.

Dark Energy shot from their hands, in the shape of lightning and balls, blasting marines and drones alike as the heartless assault the marines. The Summoners joined together and fought for several more minutes before the last of them fell; however the heartless continued to fight on.

"So what exactly is this threat?" I asked.

"Something called 'The Heartless'. We didn't manage to get anymore information regarding them before our connection was severed. We do however know that Parliment considers them to be a great enough threat merit an ARC (Agressive ReCon) mission. And that's where we come in." Admiral Patruzi said. "Since we don't know exactly how much of a threat they are we have to assume the worst, which is why we're going to detain the Navy mission and substitue our own."

Elena spoke up next, "So what's our role in all of this?"

"You're taking that fancy ship of yours and are going to be observing the mission. If things get FUBAR we want to know about it ASAP and the Runner is the fastest ship we have. Not to mention with all of the special design features Mr. Gale has built into it, it's also as powerful as ships dozens of times its mass."

I chuckled at the Admiral's coment and stoop up and did a small bow. "Enough with the theatrics Gale." Patruzi grunted out, "We're sending the XTNV Glorius Heritage and the XTNV Grizzly and XTNV Brown as our primary force. If this threat can defeat that much firepower then we have a serious problem. You will leave immediately, dismissed."

Fifteen minutes later the Dawn Runner-class Star Cruiser, Glorius Heritage and the two Grizzly-class Star Destroyers, Grizzly and Brown along with a small speck of a ship named Twilight Runner were on their way to the location of this new threat.

The High Summoner overlooked the report, the High-Summoner had felt the darkness tell him of the death of the Summoners and he knew he had to do something in order to prevent the Heartless from losing their first battle of the long war ahead, "Is my fleet ready?"

"Yes Lord Summoner, 200 Darkness Carriers, 300 Subjugator Destroyers, 100 Vengeance Battleships, and 80 Sucker Factory Ships all ready to enter dark space at your whim."

"Good head towards the zone of engagement let us introduce our selves with some force hmm?"
