Yawning Seth was shaken awake from his sleep.
"Go away," he muttered half concious, "I'll issue a statment on it in the morning."
"Mr. President, I think that would be," His aid, Tarloy Lienstien paused to add power to his next word, "inadvisable."
His tone triggered something in the elected leader of Letharn, Seth eyes flashed open.
"what is it?" He asked slowly
"Sir, we have," again Tarloy paused, "situation."
Three minutes later Seth walked, fully dressed, into the operations room.
"Report," he barked at his staff general.
"sir," Gen Haventongue began, "a pair of cops, on routine patrol, stopped to invesitigate some strange sounds coming from the basement of a local library. They arrived to find the librian dead in a puddle of his own blood, on a table in front of him was the device. We suspect that it was placed there by foriegn agents as it is doubtful that anyone in our nation could have aquired the technology to--"
"Wait," The president interupted, "I just want to be clear on this. This device was a thermonuclear bomb, that could've leveled half the city?"
"Yes sir," The general answered.
The words hung in the air like a dying man's final breath.
"Alright," Seth said at last, "do we now if the ones who planted it are agents of another goverment or terrorists?"
"No sir," this time it was his security officer, Lana Killen who answered.
"Then lets find out, I want invitations sent out to every nation we think could've done this, or asissted in this, then double all patrols and put the nation on full alert. Moblize the military and have them ready to deploy at a moments notice. In 12hrs if we haven't heard anything we go to the press."
"Sir," his aid said, "any of thousands of nations, including ones who we might become friends with, could've been involved."
"I know, get a representative from each here."
