VNNN:
"In a bold move today the government of the Valian Union has decided to announce specific ammounts of its current Chemical, Biological, Entomological, and Nuclear weapons stockpiles to the world. The Ministry of Defense commented that they hoped in doing this it would discourage a preliminary attack by one of the many enemies of the Valian Union from launching a preemptive WMD attack on civilian, or military targets. While all types of WMD's will be declared the quantaties of most will not be disclosed. This has been Karl Bismarck with your evening news."
Chemical Weapons:
Nerve Agents
The nerve agents are a group of particularly toxic chemical warfare agents.
The principle agents in this group are:
GA - (Tabun): 400,000 Tons
GB - (Sarin): Classified
GD - (Soman): Classified
VX - (methylphosphonothioic acid): Classified
Blister or vesicant agents
Blister or vesicant agents are likely to be used both to produce casualties and to force opposing troops to wear full protective equipment thus degrading fighting efficiency, rather than to kill, although exposure to such agents can be fatal. Blister agents can be thickened in order to contaminate terrain, ships, aircraft, vehicles or equipment with a persistent hazard.
Vesicants burn and blister the skin or any other part of the body they contact. They act on the eyes, mucous membranes, lungs, skin and blood-forming organs. They damage the respiratory tract when inhaled and cause vomiting and diarrhoea when ingested.
The vesicant agents include:
HD - sulphur mustard (Yperite): Classified
HN - nitrogen mustard 300,000 Tons
L - Lewisite (arsenical vesicants may be used in a mixture with HD): 200,000 Tons
CX - phosgene (properties and effects are very different from other vesicants): Classified
Choking Agents
Chemical agents which attack lung tissue, primarily causing pulmonary oedema, are classed as lung damaging agents.
To this group belong:
CG - phosgene: 350,000 Tons
DP - diphosgene: Classified
Cl - chlorine: 200,000 Tons
PS - chloropicrin: Classified
Corrosive Agents
Chemical Agents recently developed in Valian laboratories designed to eat through most CBW protection suits in large quantities.
Agents in this group include:
(agents in this group are listed under code names)
CT - [Yellow Rain]: Classified
CS - [Black Rain]: Classified
Entomological Weapons
The CEW (Center for Entomological Warfare) that was founded one year ago has met with great success. The top scientists have altered several already deadly insect species through genetic modification to be implemented against, major agriculture centers, and human targets.
(All quantities are classified)
The following are the projects that met with the most success:
Carnivorous Locusts: This was one of the more horrifying projects developed at the CEW. In fact the project was deemed to abominable that one of its chief researchers quit in disgust. If used in large quantities they can have devastating effects on civillian populations. Engineered to be resistant to most pesiticides they can be a true nigtmare to any government faced with combating them. But, the scientists working on the project implemented several safeguards in the engineering process to make sure that they wouldnt reproduce and plague the affected area for centuries. Along with the inablility to breed they also shortend the life cycle to one week after reaching adulthood.
Pesticide Resistant Locusts: Created for Agroterroism. The research team implemented measures to increase the life span, decrease the affectiveness of pesticides and increased the voraciousness of feeding. They can turn a fertile field into a barren desert in the time it takes the local government to realize that they have a serious problem.
Pesticide Resistant Screw-Worm Flies: Bred for the sole purpose of eradicating livestock little was needed in the engineering process except implementations to make the flies hardier and more voracious.
Pesticide Resistant Giant Japanese Hornets: Another of the more horrfying projects developed by the CEW. The original species of Hornet were already fierce and deadly so the only modifications made were, resistance to most pesticides, increased life span, quicker breeding, and increased aggressiveness.
Biological (Bacteriological Virological) Weapons
(All quantities are classified)
Anthrax
Botulinum Toxins
Brucellosis
Cholera
Clostridium Perfringens Toxins
Congo-Crimean Hemorrhagic Fever
Ebola Haemorrhagic Fever
Melioidosis
Plague
Q Fever
Ricin
Rift Valley Fever
Saxitoxin
Smallpox
Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B
Trichothecene Mycotoxins
Tularemia
Venezuelan Equine Encephaliti
Nuclear Weapons
Classified until further notice.
