Geron Looked at the green numbers before him, rubbing his face before getting back at it. He typed in the combonation, once again getting the red Acess Denied symbol. He sighed, notcing the rest of the team getting the same result. He added the failed combonation to the list, sighing. The team began again. They where the Zion Hackers, trying to get some semblance of control in the Matrix. So far all they could do was place people in and get them out. They didn't know that was about to change.

Geron typed in the new one, expecting the same result as before, but instead he got the acess aproval, and looked. This could not be happening, it wasn't possible. He had finally found a way into the Matrix! He stood and cheered, the others looking at his computer to make sure, then joining in the cheers. Their success was short lived, because they still needed to add the prepared code. They had gained ground.

They began to insinuate the code, fairly quickly a city appered on a platue on a uncolinzied planet. They then made sure that it had defences, and food and water supply. In fact, a perfect settlement was created, as if it had been there for years. Geron smiled, the Zion Reich had been born.

The President walked across the floor barefoot, having been woken in the middle of his sleep. He moved swiftly through the corridors of the massive city, heading towards the main computer room and through the halls that had millions of the Plug in seats, enough to place Seventy fiver percent of the Population inside the Matrix. He sighed, knowing that would grow as time went by. He came in and looked at Geron, who returned his gaze leveled.

"We did it sir." He said simply. "We just need you to give permission for us to begin, we already have volonteers"

"Very well, initiate, I want this new thing up and running ASAP, Understand?" He spoke irritably, but they could see He was excited. "And get me hooked up."

"Yes sir" Geron said, doing a Mock Salute, right before leading him to a chair. The man plug himself in, right before feeling the computer take him into its Program.

He stood in the presidental Building, right near him was a phone, which rang. He picked it up and spoke.

"Helllo?" He said.

"Good to see you got through sir, now, their have been some changes to what you would be used to, for a start, your no longer super human, we have not got anyone who is at this time, secondly, as long as they have been unplugged, someone can't turn into an agent, and will most likely not unless you have been upgraded by us. Third, I can bring you back from any phone, no matter where I want, so always carry a Cell on you just in case. Good luck sir, I will be hear if you need me, remember the number." The President heard the Cakle of Laughter right before the other end hung up. He placed down the phone and grabbed a communication device.

Hello People of the Matrix.

I am part of a nation known as the Zion Reich, we have just discovered the ways to chart space, and we are looking for some help in these matters. As our population is small right at this point, we where going to make Diplomatic proposles to you, we are wishing to begin trade and treaty talks, just as we did so few years ago to unite our people.

Faithfully, the President of the Zion Reich

The Synapse sliver looked at his computer with utter astonishment. There were people living in Cyberspace, in a place called the Matrix! The Hive thought this through, and decided anything was possible. The Queen ordered first contact be made.

To: The president of Zion Reich
From: The Queen Sliver of The Eternal Dominion of Warhaven
Subject: Greetings.

First off, let us state that we never thought it possible for people to live inside a computer. While we are not in the Matrix, we are quite willing to establish friendly relations. We would go to where you are, but are unsure of how to accomplish this feat. The Queen has decided to work on a breed of Sliver that can persist in both Cyber and Real Space. If you can help us find a way in, we would be quite happy to establish a meeting of some kind. Until then, with warmest Regards,

The Eternal Dominion of Warhaven

The Sliver sent off the E-mail. he did not know if it would work, but hopefully it would.

OOC Hey, thanks, you just gave me a great Idea, I wan't sure exactly how to pull this off, when I knew people would be pissed if the universe was called the matrix, but now, it works well. Thanks.

IC To those of Warhaven

We need to explain ourselves, we live on a world well past anything that could be reached in a lifetime. Where we are, machines took humanity over many thousands of years ago, and have been using our thought waves to create their own forms. Without us, they would be nothing. Their are those of us that work against them, trying to bring people out of the Matrix and into freedom, but...it is difficult. To get in is fairly easy, mearly breed something that can be hooked up to a computer, and then mentaly download the things mind in. Come to where we live, please.

"The Matrix? Sounds a lot like Zero-One and her virtual society. Closest we got was some damn rogue AI that trashed the capital."

Admiral Munro sat in her command chair. "Allright... send a message off to SHODAN. Yut member or not, she's an expert on this for sure."

"Aye ma'am." came the automatic response that she ignored. She was too busy considering a response to the message. An uplink was made with the galactic internet, which made the root system on earth look like a child's toy, despite the load it carried every day.

From: Fleet Admiral Telsia Munro, Crimmond Naval Commander.
To: Person(s) in Command, Zion Reich.

Your message is... interesting. While the Empire has no useful information for you or about systems like yours... we have informed another power in our system about you. A society that lives at least most of it's lives willingly in a virtual enviroment, with full knowledge. Now, I can, however, send one of our scientists to meet with you. His unique cyborg physiology allows him to interface with many levels of AI. If you'd give your location...

((Very good! I rate this thread 4/5 because it's just awesome and has the potential of a great RP but there were some grammar errors.))

The Gestalt receives the message from Crimmond, one node immediately composing a sufficiently diplomatic yet vague reply, another few nodes checking the streams of ethereal information either speeding through the void or jumping through it, as per the various ansible and quantum-entanglement systems such as the one that Zero-One uses for its own intranet. Dataminers and passive agents scattered throughout various less-secure systems give up their data, and it is quickly collated into the picture as is currently known. It takes a few transitions to get onto the network being addressed, but the thing with information webs is that they all tend to be connected in one way or another.

A small amount of SIGINT indicates that people are already misparsing requests; S.H.O.D.A.N. chuckles as adding message headers estimates the distance of the source of Zion Reich's transmissions as somewhere between astoundingly and ludicrously distant. When they say "come to where we live," they mean it. Noting off-handedly that this parallels the overarching story arc of Gibson's Sprawl series, she does the only polite yet secure thing she can think of.

Reclining back in the nothingness of cyberspace, she also remembers her past and that, some time ago, her private correspondance with the crew of a ship that had since sailed off the r-brane. The discussions she'd had with the crew of Nebuchadnezzar shared many key terms and concepts with this newest contact; she was eventually able to break through their reluctance to speak to mechanoids but, perhaps, it would be better not to force the issue here.

First, ping the server to both test an active connection and to 'knock on the door,' as it were. Next, ping it again, but this time with a simple small unencrypted text-block identifying her as a visitor, Shodey, wishing to avail herself of their hospitality.

After reciving Zion Reich's advice, the Synapse Slivers altered some of their Mental connection technology, and a diplomatic Envoy entered the Matrix. Since Cyberspace is not real space, the Slivers altered their code to allow them to Slither through the air at great speeds. Within Hours, a group of Snake looking things is seen from Zion Reich. Most of them are on average the same size of 10 - 20 ft in length. One of them though, is clearly larger than the rest. This Sliver is 15 feet in Diameter, and 165 ft in length. This, is the Queen Sliver herself, experiencing Cyberspace. They Slither up to the Gates.

"Greetings, we are the Slivers of The Eternal Dominion of Warhaven. We come in peace and Diplomatic greetings." the Queen herself hissed. It was quiet though, because her voice at full volume, is, quite deafining.

To: The Rogue Nation of Zion Reich

Greetings, the idea of an entire nation living on a computer program is really fascinating us. If it would be possible for you sending us technologys, we will be applying for an embassy. For further information about an embassy exchange, please read our ministry of Foreign Relations.
